Raveled
Dragon's Initiative (1d20=20) I cannot believe that. Security Drone's Initiative (1d20+8=19) Well, obviously it goes first... Ironclad's Initiative (1d20+3=23) Yeah, sure, give me twenties now, IC. Well, at least she's not flat-footed... Drone's Attack w/ BFG, vs Ironclad's Def (1d20+10=14) ... It missed. Against a fully +Tou shifted character. Bwa? Link to comment
Fox
Initiative Roll (1d20 + 7=24) Whee! Any other setup needed, or is Dragonfly up? Link to comment
Raveled
Fly is up. For all your referencing needs, you are fighting AA's Dragon build. Feel free to use it to check Defenses, Immunities, and the like. Link to comment
Fox
Dragonfly maintains a distance of about 200 feet; until she knows how fast that thing can move, she's more than happy to be a little inaccurate. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; range penalty) (1d20 + 10 - 2=9) ...why, IC. Why. Bleh. I'll keep it; it's early in the fight, not worth spending hero points yet. Hitting it would have been nice, but mostly she just wanted to get the thing's attention. Link to comment
Raveled
Ironclad's Wrist Blasters, w/ full All-Out Attack and full Power Attack, vs Drone's Def (1d20+15=33) Yeesh. Times like these, I wish I had autofire on those blasters. Oh well, hits for DC 30 Toughness. Drone's Toughness, vs DC 30 (1d20+8=22) It's not down! It's Stunned + Bruised, but not yet down! Dragon attempts to chomp on poor, ol' Dragonfly. Melee attack, vs Dragonfly's Def (1d20+5=7) Nope! Oh, and Dragonfly gets a HP since there's nothing electronic around for her Datalink to interact with. Darn pre-industrial settings! Someone buy Quirk Mass Effect! (Or don't. Last thing we want is for the sequel of this thread to be the Interceptors vs. the Reapers.) Link to comment
Fox
Time to play the "I'm faster, but you're stronger" game. Whee! Standard Action: Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=12) ....okay now I'm rerolling. That's ridiculous. Ranged Attack REROLL vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=12) Plus ten makes it 22, which ought to hit. DC27 Toughness for the dragon. Move Action: Put as much distance between herself and the dragon as is possible, preferably away from the village. Link to comment
Raveled
Since it's Stunned, Ironclad gets a free hit in on the robo. She'll Charge it and swing, for a little variety! Melee attack w/ Charge and full Power Attack, vs Drone's Def (1d20+7=16) That'll hit, for the DC 30 Toughness check. Drone's Toughness, vs DC 30 (1d20+7=13) And the drone bits the dust. Boom. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Toughness, vs DC 27 (1d20+15=18) Ouch. Stunned + Bruised. Beastie spends its turn wallowing. Concentration check to maintain flight, vs DC 16 (1d20=9) Yep, falls 150 ft. Dragon's Toughness, vs DC 25 (1d20+14=21) Bruise x2! Link to comment
Fox
Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=24) Oh, sure, good rolls come when the dragon's grounded and stunned. Why you gotta do this thing, Invisible Castle? Why you gotta. DC27 Toughness for the dragon, again. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Toughness, vs DC 27 (1d20+13=14) It wiffs that save. Stunned + Staggered. Link to comment
Fox
Once more, with feeling. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=22) If it's unconscious, she'll zip in closer to prepare to pocket it. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Toughness, vs DC 27 (1d20+13=23) Makes the save! Dragonfly really needs to spring for Power Attack, huhn? Oh, and it's not Stunned anymore. It's also going to Fiat to shake off that Staggered effect. Take a HP, Dragonfly. Link to comment
Fox
Long fight is long. Bleh. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=12) No. Reroll. Ranged Attack REROLL vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=15) 25, though it'd hit even if it wasn't a reroll. DC27 Toughness for the dragon. Dragonfly surges (and will pick up fatigue at the start of her next round if she doesn't use a hero point to get rid of it): SURGE: Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=17) Another hit! Thank goodness for size penalties. DC27 Toughness, again. Aaand then her move action to back off at least a little - to 200ft, say, above and to the side away from the village. Maths: Dragonfly started with two HP; she got one for Datalink being useless, she got one for the fiat, she spent one on a previous reroll and one on this reroll, so she's back down to two (one, if she waives the fatigue later). Raveled
Dragon's toughness vs DC 27 (1d20+13=30) Passes with flying colors! Dragon's toughness vs DC 27 (1d20+13=33) And again. Wow. Waiting for your IC. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon is up! Dragon is flying! Dragon charges! Dragon's melee attack w/ Charge, vs Dragonfly's defense. (1d20+7=13) Link to comment
Fox
Dragonfly coughs up one of her two remaining hero points to waive the fatigue before it burns out her suit. What's up next? Is it more of the same? I think it is! Ranged Attack Roll vs. Dragon (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=20) DC27 Toughness for the dragon. Dragonfly moves out of its way again...almost straight up. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Toughness, vs DC 27 (1d20+13=24) Bruise x3. It's getting worn down. Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Blast w/ +2 All-Out Attack, vs Dragonfly's Def (1d20+7=10) Oi. Link to comment
Fox
Extra Effort stunt time, and a hero point (the last hero point!) to waive the fatigue. Damage 10 (Extras: Linked [Nullify]) + Nullify Flight 10 (Extras: Effortless, Linked [Damage], Flaws: Range 1 [Touch]) [10+10= 20pp] Melee Attack Roll vs. Dragon (damage+nullify; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=10) Well, at least she can try again in a round.... Link to comment
Raveled
Dragon's Breath w/ All-Out Attack, vs Dragonfly's Defense (1d20+7=27) o.o Um, don't want to do the +5 Toughness save since it's already a DC 25. We'll do it as Environmental Control (Distraction)! DC 15 Concentration check for being on fire. Link to comment
Fox
Toughness Save vs. Dragon's Breath, DC25 (1d20 + 8=10) Since fatigue hasn't technically hit yet to be waived, I'll just spend that last hero point here, I guess. Toughness Save REROLL vs. Dragon's Breath, DC25 (1d20 + 8=20) Bruised + Stunned. Concentration Check vs. Being Set On Fire, DC15 (1d20 + 5=10) Failure. But she'd have to do the following checks anyway, since she's stunned. Concentration Checks to maintain Force Field (DC13), Shield (DC18), Flight (DC14) while Stunned/Distracted (1d20 + 5=24, 1d20 + 5=6, 1d20 + 5=15) Dragonfly keeps her force field, loses her shield (-8 defense), but stays in flight. At the start of her next round (which she spends being stunned and floating in mid-air) her suit burns out from fatigue: -2pp to all powers. That's -0 Attack, -1 Damage, -2 Defense, -3 Toughness, plus the loss of teleport, some super-senses, improvised tools, etc, etc. Note that the stun, by virtue of being a stun, robs her of her shield's benefits anyway: with the -2 modifier on top of that she has 0 Defense. Raveled
Dragon uses all-out movement to get above Dragonfly, switches to Super-Strength AP, and surges to use Super-Breath. Take the HP. Dragon's Trip, vs. Dragonfly (1d20+15=18) Hits, Dragonfly needs to make a DC 25 Reflex check to avoid being blown back towards the ground. Link to comment
Fox
Reflex Save vs. Dragon's Super-Breath, DC25 (1d20 + 6=25) Good god. Link to comment
Fox
First things first - Dragonfly gets her shield back online! I'll...let the fatigue go, for now. Getting rid of it would be nice but not as nice as being able to avoid another stun like that, and having to rely on rolling a 19. Melee Attack Roll vs. Dragon (damage+nullify; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=11) For crying out loud....it's not even the power attack. The thing's DC15 to hit. The dice just won't let her TOUCH anything.... Link to comment
