Supercape Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 1d20+2=9 for Chun-Su 1d20-1=5 for Robots. Robots are minions, core rules. Chun-Su is from Freedom by Gaslight, Steampunk Engineer archetype. He is without airship, replaced with a club (his wrench) for equipment, and Defence is raised to 8.
Aoiroo Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 17, blah, burn HP for reroll. Okay so, 21, much better, DC 27 toughness.
Supercape Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 17, blah, burn HP for reroll. Okay so, 21, much better, DC 27 toughness. Thats fine for attack... Im going to pull you up there though, as Chun-Su effectively has you covered with his gun whilst you are bobbing and down in the water and he is in his boat. If you move, he will fire. That may need some thought and IC edit. Well, you do have 2 PLs on him and he is the final boss! Having said that, because you put yourself in the position of vulnerability to Chun Su by rescuing the barge workers, have an HP.
Aoiroo Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Okie dokie, Carrie dives underwater because it only really takes like a foot or two of water for bullets to just disintigrate on impact (proven on Mythbusters) swims under the boat gets on the other side, sneaks up behind him and pushing his scrawny butt overboard. Taking ten stealth check, that's 25.

POst away IC the diving. Who said he was firing bullets... Tesla-electric gun hits the water! Im using common sense here, the electricity is going to disperse and change into a ranged burst attack, DC 19 Toughness save... 1d20+2=13, 1d20+2=22 The CHef is knocked out, and starts to sink beneath the surface.... the First Mate is jolted but ok... Dum Dum Daaaah!
Aoiroo Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Carrie's not still in the water, she's on the side of the boat, she did two move actions, one for swimming, one for climbing.
Supercape Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 Carrie's not still in the water, she's on the side of the boat, she did two move actions, one for swimming, one for climbing. No problem then. Post away...
Aoiroo Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Okay, has he pressed the self destruct button yet, is there a way to disable it or is he self destructing the robots so Carrie will just toss them overboard instead. Also, is no one on the other ship going to dive to save the chef?
Supercape Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 Okay, has he pressed the self destruct button yet, is there a way to disable it or is he self destructing the robots so Carrie will just toss them overboard instead. Also, is no one on the other ship going to dive to save the chef? He hasn't pressed the button yet. It is for the Giant Robot. As he didn't fire at you, the CHef and the First Mate weren't properly hit by the Tesla Gun (they may have got a few tingles, but nothing major). However, if you want to throw in that as a complication be my guest. His firing at that point was more "mad villain fires randomly in frustration".
Aoiroo Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Okie dokie, I don't think I'll take that complication, I think I'll take Carrie kicking him off the vessel and steering it close enough to the other so the crew can jump on board before robot goes boom.
Supercape Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Well Ill treat that as a surprise trip attack (or overrush attack if you want to go into the Thames with him!)
Aoiroo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 (17:52:10) System: Aoiroo rolls 1d20 and gets 11. Reroll so that's 20 with her attack, so now for the attack, IC is working now so add her dex modifier 21, so he has to beat that with either a roll from his strengh or dex modifier.
Supercape Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 From chat rolls, thats a big fat fail. (+2 Dex modifier, -2 penalty for leaning over the side like a madman and firing his tesla pistol!) Splish Splash! Ok, I am effectively calling end to combat at this point, so consider yourself victorious with that little move!
