"It does," Alex confirmed for her friend and followed her gaze around the room. She lifted her slim shoulders in a delicate shrug, "I could re-write her personality and all of this would go away. She'd be whatever we wanted. She'd be happy. It would be utterly false."

Alex's tone held a note of longing in it. Part of her wanted to do just that. She had no more desire to come back and fix this the slow way than Erin wanted to be here. "But it would be wrong. So we'll build it the slow way, un-doing the damage rather than erasing it. It's kinda like the Force, that way. The dark path is always easier and more seductive for it's ease, but the results honestly aren't as good."

She shrugged and turned back towards the way they'd came. "Yes, the doors open to this place. They open every where. We can dismantle that a bit before we go. That will at least be something a bit more concrete."
