Tiffany Korta
Gonna try a taunt as a move action 1d20+8-5=6, well that ain't going to work. Standard Attack 1d20+10=29, whilst that should. Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+12=15 A major failure! Bruised, Stunned, Staggered. Major EDIT: As I forgot Knockback: 25 feet. Round 4: 15 - Nora - Stunned, Stunned (until 12), staggered, Boosted, In Blood pool. 12 - Revenant -1 HP - Unharmed You are up again! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
What do I need to roll to hit her with a carcass? They're there it has to be done . Link to comment
Supercape
Two ways: Either pick one up (move action) and throw it (standard action) which is a ranged attack using your strength attack. Or, pick it up (move action) and attack with mellee (which means you have to actually move to her range) which is an improvised weapon attack. As a carcass is not stronger than steel it is just your strength attack, but you know, that kind of stuff can earn hero points for being just damn cool... Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Okay I'll put this together in kit form. Basic Roll : 1d20=19 If it's ranged it's +7 (for a total of 26), if it's melee it's +8 (27). As it's just pure strength it would be a Tou save DC 23. Link to comment
Supercape
Okay well that is a sure fire hit! (I think it is probably best counted as ranged) A hero point for the sheer coolness of that attack. Nora Toughness save. 1d20+12=25 Made it! Link to comment
Supercape
Round 5: 15 - Nora - Bruised, staggered, Boosted 12 - Revenant -1 HP - Unharmed Nora - Stand up (Move action) - [Rules always a little fudged on this after a knock back but it makes sense to me] moves back to blood pool (Move Action) Free Action: Recovers from Staggered! :o Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
It's just to tempting. Oh well, foot meet face. Unarmed Strike : 1d20+10=16 Well maybe not that tempting. Link to comment
Supercape
Unfortunately, a miss! Round 6: 15 - Nora - Bruised, in blood pool. 12 - Revenant -1 HP - Unharmed Nora Free Action - Recovers from bruise STandard Action - All out Attack, Power ATtack (+2/-2 shifts) on Revenant. 1d20+6=16 and a miss! But I think you get the gist of her now! ;) Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Simple stike again 1d20+10=14 Oh dear, hero point I think. 1d20+10=11, not much better. So that's 21. Link to comment
Supercape
Nora Bruised1d20+12=17 , but... Round 7: 15 - Nora - Bruised, in blood pool. 12 - Revenant -0 HP - Unharmed Free Action: Recover from bruise... Standard Action: Going in for a grapple: 1d20+6=10 Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
I'm going to try and return the favour, so I'll grapple back Attack : 1d20+10=19 for the Grapple : 1d20+16=24 Okay I'm being a little optimistic, but if I succeed I want to hang poor Nora on a spare meat hook. Link to comment
Supercape
Now that is cool! A little gruesome for the setting, but it fits! OK, I am not entirely sure how to handle that - but I guess a grapple roll is the best way. 1d20+20=40 Unfortunately she aces that - which is a shame. Nonetheless, Its sufficiently cool that I will GM fiat that for fluff purposes, just saying that it does no damage and its a move action for her to dislodge herself. COuld you either edit your IC post or do another to reflect putting her on a hook? Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Oh I wouldn't do it for anyone else, except I know that Nora will be okay. I think there should be a Nora post between my last post and this, I didn't want to post anything until I knew it would all work. Link to comment
Supercape
Done a post, get going with the hang! Link to comment
Supercape
I tell you what, lets stop combat for a moment with Nora on the meathook - just to see what transpires with a lil socialising. Link to comment
Supercape
Ok as you are going down this route, throw me a diplomacy roll, +2 for general coolness! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
K, Diplomcay roll 1d20+9+2=26, yay hopeful she's going along with this. Link to comment
Supercape
Attitude changed from Hostile to Indifferent. OK, say Nora is not well disposed to you, may not trust you, but isn't out to get you any more (just eat!) and will behave reasonably. Mixed feelings! Link to comment
Supercape
May need TT to make a cameo in this? do you want to ask him? Can play this how you wish. Link to comment
trollthumper
Assuming Nick got all that, making an Arcane Lore check to see if Nick can try to narrow down what kind of undead she might be. Applying a +2 bonus given by SC for area of expertise. A 21 should kind of help. Link to comment
Supercape
Yes, she is effectively unique. She is first of all created by something, and has features of vampiric undeadness, but she is stuck between living and undead - she must have been turned whilst still alive (not dying) or, more likely, whilst very ill. Something quite unusual has corrupted the process however, leading to her unique status. Feel free to fluff out her "half-undead" status as you wish! Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, so as Nora has expressed the desire to relent on this test, I don't need to throw many ranks into the Transform. And as it's extremely specific (Bloody Nora to mortal), that's 3 PP per. But we want it to hold up and resist meddling, so... Transform (Bloody Nora to mortal) 1 (Extras: Duration [Continuous], Feat: Innate) [5 PP] That means it's a DC15 Knowledge (arcane) check to design. With a +10 to the Skill, I can not only take 10 on it, but I can halve the time by taking the -5 penalty and still make it. However, that will still be 10 hours worth of research, so Nick will need to come back the next night. When he does, however, he'll have the ritual ready. And as he can take 10 on said ritual's implementation, it will go off without a hitch. So by now, it's all over but the IC. And if Nora says she prefers being undead to alive, then the same math will work for a vampiric transformation. Link to comment
