Eviscerus Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 OOC Thread for the story of same name. And just for kicks: 21 to Stealth And the thug's notice check is" 16 No dice for them.
Tiffany Korta Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I don't do stealthy! Before I forget Recurring Nightmare, so YB is fatigued.
Raveled Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Starlight's Grapple check, to grab the truck and all the baddies inside it. (1d20+8=24)
Eviscerus Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 Shadow strike attack versus Thug Paulie 6! d'oh HP to reroll: 8+10 for re-roll = 18 A hit, barely! Autofire makes the damage for attack a +12, which is a dc 27 toughness save. Paulies toughness save is: 20 which means since he's a minion he's down for the count.
Eviscerus Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 Time for initiative! Thugs: 6 Leviathan: 6 Since he has a higher dex he goes before them.
Raveled Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Starlight's going to try and talk them down. Starlight's Diplomacy check. (1d20+8=23) Hey, not too shabby!
Eviscerus Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Alright, you've brought them from a hostile attitude to unfriendly, so they're hesitating a little bit now. Good job!
Eviscerus Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Going to need a notice check from both Starlight and YB. Thug's notice check is: 5 Yeah they see nothing! NOTHING!
Raveled Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Starlight has SM on Notice, for a result of 22.
Eviscerus Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 okay, Zealot uses the plethora of distractions to attack poor flat-footed Leviathan. Invisible Castle is down so here's the roll from chat: (16:08:58) Electra: You have to add the modifier yourself afterwards(16:10:05) System: Eviscerus rolls 1d20 and gets 5.(16:10:12) Eviscerus: bahhaha!(16:10:15) Eviscerus: terrible So that's a total of 17 w/out modifiers, after autofire that's a save dc of 24.... ouchie! Leviathan's toughness save is: (16:13:06) System: Eviscerus rolls 1d20 and gets 13.(16:13:15) Eviscerus: crap!(16:13:28) Eviscerus: an 18 vs dc 24 toughness save an 18 total which makes Leviathan Stunned, and bruised! EDIT: according to new house rules, Leviathan is dazed, not stunned. Yay for him!
Eviscerus Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 We'll continue with the initiative as is, which makes it YB's turn. We'll have Zealot go last in initiative since he arrived late on scene.
Tiffany Korta Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 K, Gonnas spend a hero point and stunt a Dazzle Attack : Dazzle 4 ( Extra: Area (Burst), Selective Attack) - Blinding burst of light. Everyone ou to 20ft, except my allies, need to make a Reflex save v DC 14 or be blinded.
Eviscerus Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Okay then, here we go: Thugs: (17:07:22) Quinn: Ah.(17:07:44) Breella: Parting post.(17:08:06) System: Eviscerus rolls 1d20 and gets 12. So that's a 12 for the hapless thugs to get out of the way of the burst, they fail and take the full brunt of the dazzle Now for the actual effect: (17:10:57) Quinn: And what's sad is that in Creation, that more often than not would work.(17:12:35) Quinn: Other than the pinched daiklave, how's the rest of the siege going, Troll?(17:12:52) System: Eviscerus rolls 1d20 and gets 11. So they fail the save with an 11, making them dazzled, good job! And for Zealot: (17:09:31) Ironox: A couple solars against one lunar? I like those odds.(17:09:52) System: Eviscerus rolls 1d20 and gets 19. So Zealot rolls himself a 19 and has evasion so he's completely unharmed by the dazzle.
Eviscerus Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Okay the thugs have basically been taken out of the fight, now all you must contend with is Zealot. Starting at the top of the initiative as Leviathan is dazed, we have.... Starlight! Duh-duh-duuuuuh! Give 'em what for!
Raveled Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Starlight's going to do her level best to blast this sucker. (19:48:07) System: Raveled rolls 1d20 and gets 4. Which isn't nearly enough. Starlight sets down between Levi and Zealot, doing her best to shield him.
Tiffany Korta Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Low level blast to start : 1d20+5=6, oops a miss. You wern't in a hurry to take him were you .
Eviscerus Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Okay, Leviathan's up and he attempts a shadow blast against Zealot and gets: a 22! A hit! Now for Zealot's toughness save vs dc24 (tit for tat apparently!): that's a 20 so a bruised status for our monologuing madman!
Eviscerus Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Zealot is angry now! He's going to use a targeted burst area damage effect. Which means that if he hits, it'll hit both Starlight and Leviathan. So here goes! That's a 25 to hit, so should hit both of them So a DC 23 Toughness Save for Starlight and Leviathan. Since Levi's forcefield is ablative, his toughness save is down by 2. Let's see how badly this hurts him. D'oh! only an 11. That puts him out rather handily! he's dazed and staggered now. Not a pretty picture for our stalwart shadow-wielder! Okay Starlight, time for your toughness save!
Raveled Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Starlight's Toughness save, vs DC 25. (1d20+10=17) Ouch. Gonna take a reroll on that. Starlight's Toughness save, vs DC 25. Reroll (1d20+10=29) Much better!
Eviscerus Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 alright we're at the top of the initiative which means Starlight's up!
Raveled Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Starlight's ranged attack check, vs. Zealot's Def. (1d20+10=19) Le sigh.
