Raveled Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 The OOC to this thread and sequel to Green Thumb. The hard-hitting duo of Flora and Catalyst reunite to take down someone who's doing bad stuff! Yah!
Raveled Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 If either of you would like to make Knowledge checks or Gather Information checks now, representing your research pre-thread, now's the time to do so.
Breella Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I was thinking... If there are plants inside that building Gwen can spy on whoever is in there and get a bead on what might be going down.
Raveled Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 That would require stunting an ESP power, and explaining how she's 'talking' to the plants.
Breella Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Gwen can converse with plants in her head normally, so it would stunt the distance would it not?
Raveled Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 I thought that we just with the vines? *Checks* Ah, I guess she does have Comprehend. Yes, ESP would be needed to cover the distance and get full sensory experience and not just a breakdown of who's wearing the brightest colors.
Aoiroo Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 For Catalyst we have Notice, Physical Science and Technology that she can use.
Breella Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 1d20+15=25 Gwen's roll to notice-- well before I try and stunt the long range communication I'm wondering if there is an alley next to the building, maybe with a duct or a vent of some kind. My plan is to extend the vines in it and hope they can hear something, or find something. They've got a 50ft length range.
Raveled Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Oh yeah, that'll find something. Let's say a side-alley with a chute... above a dumpster. :D
Aoiroo Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Since her vines can't scout really, Bree you want to alter the post for Flora to suggest them faking a gas leak cause Catalyst hasn't thought of it but is fully capable of doing it.
Raveled Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Okay so near as I can figure, the one sense Flora can get through her vines is Tactile. Which means all she'll get from running them up a garbage chute is how squishy it is. She'll still need to stunt some kind of ESP to get any other information out of this spy run. EDIT: Or Roo's idea.
Raveled Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Yeah, I'm gonna need a Bluff check to go along with that, Roo.
Raveled Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Security's Sense Motive check, vs DC 20. (1d20+5=12) They believe Catalyst and start emptying out the building. Bree, where is Flora during all this?
Breella Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 This may have been a bad idea. How is Gwen getting out of the car with all the people around?
Aoiroo Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Well if it helps, the entire area is now going to be covered in smoke. For Gwen's benefit, I think we can say that Catalyst told her about an extra pair of infared she keeps in the glove compartment. Spending an HP for the infared goggles. But yeah, not gonna pay for Catalyst to call Flora on her bluetooth and tell her to come on in once the smoke comes up. Iniative 27
Raveled Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Steelshanks' Ini. (1d20+2=13) Yeah, didn't expect that to go well.
Raveled Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Initiative 27 Catalyst -- Uninjured -- HPx2 14 Flora -- Uninjured -- HPx4 13 Steelshanks -- Bruise x6 -- GM Oh, look who hasn't got a chance to get fixed up from the last fight! Steelshanks' melee attack check w/ full All-Out attack, vs Catalyst's Def. DC 30 (1d20+10=21) That actually hits. 50% miss chance, though; rolling high will hit. Steelshanks' miss chance. (1d2=1) Nope! Catalyst is up. And just as a note, that Obscure is for all Visual senses; those thermal goggles aren't going to help Flora see though it.
Aoiroo Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Catalyst does a snare attack, shifted to effects by 2, 26, that's a hit, DC 20 reflex (Seventeen with shifting, +3 from autofire).
Raveled Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Steelshanks' Reflex save, vs DC 20 Snare. (1d20+5=11) Bound and Helpless. Go to town.
Breella Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Catalyst can take the lead on investigating her since she's bound.
Raveled Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 So is Flora going to try and interact with Steelshanks? That's going to require some rolling.
