Aoiroo Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 OOC Thread I'm thinking IC Gabriel will spot some thuggies trying to mug Carrie from above.
KnightDisciple Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 He heard them, but same effect. Auto-35 Intimidate.
Aoiroo Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Pretty much impossible for them to not turn tail and run away (regular thugs from the book afterall, not much of a will save).
Aoiroo Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Quick little hazard, need a DC 15 reflex save from Gabriel for a dimensional device dropping out of the sky not nicking him on the way down.
KnightDisciple Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Skill Mastery gives me an auto-35 on Gather Information.
Aoiroo Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Okie dokie Carrie knows The shopkeepers are nervous, and look out their windows whenever one of the grey guards (as she dubbed them) come around. Gabriel knows The disappearances have been happening most frequently in Italy especially around the Vatican, they just haven't been properly reported or filed like the other ones and the ones taken were considered undesirables by the Church. Most of the people in the area think that either the church is doing something, or that those Brits are setting them up. Either way, everyone is super jumpy.
KnightDisciple Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'll get something up post haste. EDIT: Some explanation of "undesirables" would be appreciated. EDIT 2: He activates his Extended Hearing twice as he walks back to where they split ways, with the goal being to locate Carrie.
KnightDisciple Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I spend a Hero Point for Ultimate Diplomacy. That's an auto-20. Which means he gets a 47 to gently, politely talk the guards into letting him into the Vatican.
Aoiroo Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Okay, he sees lots of candles have been ordered, and a strange amount of livestock and other more nasty looking stuff that he recognizes and not good ritual stuff but probably wouldn't be recognized by others who looked at it. Wish my brain was better tuned to this sort of thing, Arcane Lores seemed like the best idea for trying to recognize stuff that might be used for a ritual of some kind.
Aoiroo Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Notice checks now, DC 25 cause the room is near soundproof meaning it's ahrd to hear outside it as well. Carrie fails.
Aoiroo Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Notice checks now, DC 25 cause the room is near soundproof meaning it's ahrd to hear outside it as well. Carrie fails.
Supercape Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 THe assassins are fanatics! but make a diplomacy roll in any case! Alternatively (and I leave this to you) if you wish to make this a veiled threat, intimidate roll (matched vs their will roll, d20 + 4).
KnightDisciple Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Uh, SC? Sure this is the right thread? Anyways, DC 25 Notice....18 also fails.
Aoiroo Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 So the Mooks get a surprise round. There's six of them, and they're starting the round by opening fire after opening the doors. The hits are two blasts a piece, if they hit DC 17, Well they hit Carrie, and the Chancellor got hit with a crit, that's not good. 27, 16, so Carrie is bruised, And the Chancellor, Ohh, 15 on the first on, so he's pretty much dieing, yeah.
KnightDisciple Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Save 1: 20 Save 2: 15 So 1 Bruise. EDIT: Initiative is 25.
Aoiroo Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 So, Iniative then, 25 for the Inquisition, 33 for Carrie.
Aoiroo Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 So, Carrie Bruised 3HP Inquisition (6) Unharmed Gabriel Bruised 5HP Chancellor Dying Carrie's gonna run over and grab the Chancellor taking full defense this round as she protects him. None hit Carrie, all three hit Gabriel with there Swords, DC 22 3 times.
KnightDisciple Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Let's see. 3 DC 22 saves. 25, 18, 13. Ugh. The 18 means another bruise. I'm going to burn an HP to reroll that 13. Since I'd have a +11 bonus, and the minimum roll is 11, that's 22, so no point in actually rolling it.
KnightDisciple Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 So, I'm currently down to 4HP. We've got a bunch of guys with guns, a severely wounded chancellor, and an injured Gabriel Free Action: Extra Effort: Power Stunt! I am stunting Damage 13 (Extras: Area [General, Shapeable, 13 5ft cubes]). Move Action: Place Gabriel in front of the Chancellor, with all the mooks in front of him. Standard Action: Sonic Shout! It makes me wanna shout! That'll be a DC 23 Reflex save for half, DC 28 Toughness Save for full (21 for half damage).
