Ari Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Mr. Mist vs. Spitfire's..fire! Ref save: 19. Fails. TOU save: 9. Fails by 17, yet takes half damage from energy attacks, meaning that the DC for him is 20. Fails by 11, so he's Staggered and Stunned.
Ari Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Okay, End of Round 1! Round 2 The Bluesman: unharmed. Quintessence: Unharmed Asad: Unharmed. Mr. Mist: Staggered, Stunned. The Lads: All but one Unconscious, and he's Fleeing. Weaver: unharmed. Spitfire: Unharmed. Bluesman is up!
Ironox Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Alright, it looks like the group has Mr. Mist well in hand, so Bluesman'll chase down that last Lad. Swinging towards him with my Grapple for a Move action (100 ft), so that should get me back within range of him. And then, let's do something crazy, and throw another punch. 31 to hit for a DC 23 Toughness Save.
Ari Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 I dunno, Ironox. Such radical and unorthodox methods go against okay that hits, obviously. His TOU save is: 16. Well, that's that. Next up, Quintessence!
Paragon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Well since I am virtually useless against an insubstantial character, I will fly over to the Lamp Mr. Mist is near, then I will smash it down on top of r. Mists head. Not that it will probably have any effect on him but It may shed some light on what is happening and why. Hopefully there is something inside besides a hiding place for Mr. Mist. My attack to hit Mr. Mist with a giant lamp. 13! If that happens to hit by some miracle, the toughness DC is 25.
Ari Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Quite correct Paragon, his having Insubstantial rank 2 means getting a giant oriental smashed over his head won't hurt much more than his feelings. On the other hand, that sounds pretty funny, and makes a good image in my mind, so how about instead of it being a TOU attack, it's a Snare instead? Also, that roll misses him(he has +12 Defence, which plus the +10 given for Defence rolls and minus 2 from being Shaken makes his Defence DC a solid 20). If you'd like, you can burn a Hero Point and re-roll the Attack.
Paragon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 What the heck I am feeling quite heroic at the moment. My very heroic effort fives me a stunning...19! Gasp!
Eviscerus Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Hey Ari don't forget that being stunned makes him flat footed so that 19 should hit. Don't mean to be stepping on yer toes buddy, just reminding you
Ari Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 No need to apologize Evi, I'm new (and brainless) enough to need the reminder, good catch. That's right, I'd forgotten that being Stunned means he loses Dodge Focus bonus to Defence, gets another -2 to that check, so the DC is actually 18. Additionally he can't take any action besides reactions for the rest of the round. Your 19 hits squarely, and the lamp lands neatly on top of him. Mr. Mist's Reflex save to avoid being Snared, (DC25 due to it's size(Huge)) by the giant lamp: 22. Pretty close. He's now Pinned underneath the lamp. If that's not how it goes don't be shy in telling me so.
TheAbsurdist Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 So Asad is gonna miss, I wont HP it. Attack! (1d20+10=12) Ahhhh well. D'oh. So gonna move by Quintessence, and drop from my 40 feet up. Impervious 10 says yay! And I absorb up the kinetic energy.
Ari Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Unless Airon and/or Evi want to do anything, yes.
Eviscerus Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 It's totally fine with me to call an end to the combat. Now for the real fun: Victory lap!
Ari Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Well then, FIGHT OVER! Great job, guys! I'll get up another GM post, and you guys can respond as you like, then we'll call this done, sound good?
