Airon Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Well Catalyst has a range of 500ft with her stun. Also, I just noticed, MM is entangled so she get's -2 defense. Actually huh, I think that might be wrong for my set up. Though there's probably a penalty anyway because that power doesn't have improved range. yes, you have a 500 feet range, but the Area is [rank x 5 feet]: it would be 5x5=25 ft, but since you Power Attacked it's 8x5=40 ft. 500 feet is the distance from you to to the center of that area, not the area diameter. If you want to attack the Man-Ape, MM is about 80 feet away, way too far. Unless I misread and you wanted to attack ONLY Madame and the controlled animals, ignoring the Man-Ape. Also, as I wrote in the IC post, she went back inside the zoo, so she has total cover from you as long as you are outside Madame ran back, into the gates of the zoo “Come, come!†her voice was once again being blasted from the speakers, as she disappeared behind the pillar of the zoo’s gate. “Come find me among my new children!†Growls and roars rose as she got hold of the animals minds.
TheAbsurdist Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 All Out Attack! (1d20+10=29) All out attack on Man-Ape, say hello to the sweet, sweet love, of a 30 toughness save.
Airon Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 pop culture-powered punches for Asad! TOU DC 30 for the furball 1d20+10 → [14,10] = (24) jeez, this guy is worse than useless. Failed by 6, bruised and dazed 29 Man-Ape, unharmed, stunned, bruised, dazed 22 Catalyst, 4 HP, unharmed (van has -1 TOU) 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, unharmed, entangled, with Plot Device 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised Madame's turn: standard action to try to break the snare, move action to order 2 bears to try to break the snare. Weaver’s snare has to roll 3 times for TOU: 2 versus the bears (DC 15+8=23) and 1 versus Madame (DC 15+2=17) 1d20+10 → [4,10] = (14) 1d20+10 → [9,10] = (19) 1d20+10 → [15,10] = (25) failed by 9, -1 TOU; failed by 4, -1 TOU; saved Madame is still entangled Weaver's turn. Move action to direct Arug over the wall and near Catalyst Standard action to use Snare on Madame 1d20+10 → [13,10] = (23) that's a hit! reflex save (at -2 because she is already entangled), DC 20 1d20+8 → [14,8] = (22) and she evades it... 29 Man-Ape, unharmed, stunned, bruised, dazed 22 Catalyst, 4 HP, unharmed (van has -1 TOU) 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, unharmed, entangled (-2 tou), with Plot Device 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised END OF ROUND 3 ROUND 4 Man-Ape is dazed, he forfeits his action; also, at Madame's initiative will also act the two bears. 29 Man-Ape, unharmed, stunned, bruised, dazed, and f***ing useless 22 Catalyst, 4 HP, unharmed 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, unharmed, entangled (-2 tou), with Plot Device 14 two bears 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised Catalyst is up. Arug is right next to her: with a Move action, she can control him to take her were you like, write freely about him.
Aoiroo Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Right, Catalyst is gonna fly Arug over the the zoo walls and scan around for Madam Marvelous. She's using her blast to hit take her down and end this. Her blast has a range of 500ft btw, she shouldn't be that high, but she's at least fifty feet out of reach from her sniping position on Arug with her rifle, so lets see about Catalyst taking a shot at MM, 31, critical hit. Well lets see, with autofire, that's +2 to the DC, with critical it's +7 total, so DC 27 to Madam Marvelous. Catalyst just sniped a witch. Burning but not flaming is the description.
Aoiroo Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Also, did Catalyst catch MM Flatfooted? I mean she wouldn't notice the flying carpet with the sniper easily, would I have to make a stealth roll then?
Airon Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 good point, I guess it could be possible. Notice check for MM 1d20+8 → [20,8] = (28) well, I think Catalyst won't go unnoticed, with her +6... TOU DC 27 for MM 1d20+12 → [6,12] = (18) bruised and dazed; this is getting close to an end. also, I forgot to roll Fortitude for the Man-ape to shake off the Stun; DC 17 (18-1) 1d20+10 → [5,10] = (15) unbelievable 29 Man-Ape, stunned, bruised, dazed, and f***ing useless 22 Catalyst, 4 HP, unharmed 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, bruised, dazed, entangled (-2 tou), with Plot Device 14 two bears, unharmed 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised come on Asad, let's wrap it up!
Aoiroo Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Wait, MM has -2 Toughness though, or is that -2 Def, if it's -2 toughness she should of rolled 1d20+10 which would be 16 not eighteen with the current score making her staggered and dazed.
Airon Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 ... what? the -2 TOU is for the Snare's toughness, not for her, in fact it is written after "entangled". If it was for her, it would have said "bruised 2". She was unharmed until you hit her, you can control the table I copy/paste every turn...
TheAbsurdist Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 So Asad will just cut, fly up to get the right angle, and then drop down hard by Madame Marvelous, and use Groundstrike. Groundstrike (1d20+15=19) So DC 19 strength check for Madame Marvelous, and it drops down by 1 for every 10 feet from Asad, down just a 4 at 150 feet away.
Airon Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 actually Groundstrike is just a Trip attack, MM can defend with her Acrobatics score. DC 19 1d20+11 → [7,11] = (18) not that it did her any good... the two bears defend with their Strength (27) DC 19 for them too, they're adjacent to MM. 1d20+8 → [15,8] = (23) 1d20+8 → [2,8] = (10) one down, one up 29 Man-Ape, stunned, bruised, dazed, and f***ing useless 22 Catalyst, 4 HP, unharmed 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, bruised, dazed, entangled (-2 tou), prone, with Plot Device 14 two bears, unharmed, one prone 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised You can post IC
TheAbsurdist Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 The wording in the MM book is a little weird.
Airon Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Madame will forfeit her round, being dazed the bears will attack Asad The bear who fell prone will use his Move Action to get up, and his standard action to attack The other one will use his Standard to attack, and forfeits his Move since he can't do much with it. they both go Power Attack +2 on Asad, since he tried to hurt their master! 1d20+1 → [14,1] = (15) 1d20+1 → [10,1] = (11) only one hits their strength is +8, +2 for power attack: a +10 actually bypasses Asad's Impervious Toughness. TOU DC 25 for our favorite billionaire. Weaver He’ll use just his standard action: Split Attack Snare on the two bears 1d20+10 → [8,10] = (18) 1d20+10 → [16,10] = (26) two hits Ref DC 15 for the bears 1d20+6 → [2,6] = (8) 1d20+6 → [12,6] = (18) one free, one bound end of round 4 round 5 The Ape-man will try to shake off his Stun (DC 18-2=16) 1d20+10 → [19,10] = (29) about time Move Action to Swing towards Catalyst Standard action to attack her 1d20+10 → [11,10] = (21) that's a hit TOU DC 25 for Catalyst; if she fails, she also has to roll Reflex (DC 17: 10+10(damage)-3 (her knokback)) to avoid falling off Arug. 29 Man-Ape, bruised 22 Catalyst, 3 HP, unharmed (so far...) 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, bruised, dazed, entangled (-2 tou), prone, with Plot Device 14 two bears, unharmed, one bound and helpless 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised Catalyst has to save, then it's her turn...
Aoiroo Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 15, ohh, spending an HP for reroll. 24, better she's bruised but not dazed or staggered. 16, so she falls. Can I shoot her snare at the ground to make a stick PB foam cushion?
Airon Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 15, ohh, spending an HP for reroll. 24, better she's bruised but not dazed or staggered. 16, so she falls. Can I shoot her snare at the ground to make a stick PB foam cushion? Of course: I'd say that's a Power Stunt of her Paintballs array. You have 30 pp worth of array points, so power stunting stuff like Immunity 5 [falling damage] it's very possible. of course since it's Extra Effort, you either spend an HP or you are fatigued in the next round. Since you missed your Ref roll only by 1, you can choose where you fall: either outside the zoo walls or inside the bear cage with Asad, Madame and the animals. After you land on your foam cushion, you still have a Move Action available
Airon Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 after he swings around, he lands near Asad
Aoiroo Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Well I'd spend an HP on the Power stunt, so I guess I'll surge for another standard action, namely she's gonna shoot magilla. 21, so DC 23 toughness for him.
Airon Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 1d20+9 → [12,9] = (21) failed by 2, another Bruise also, Madame recovers from her dazed condition, since it had been Catalyst to inflict that to her 29 Man-Ape, bruised 2 22 Catalyst, 1 HP, bruised (fatigued in the next round) 21 Asad, 2 HP, unharmed 14 Madame Marvelous, bruised, entangled (-2 tou), prone, with Plot Device 14 two bears, unharmed, one bound and helpless 8 Weaver, 1 HP, bruised Asad has to resolve his TOU DC 25 from the bear attack, then it's his turn.
TheAbsurdist Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 All Out Accurate "Yoink the Plot Device!" (1d20+15=18) So 18 to snatch up the plot device from Madame Marvelous.
Airon Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 All Out Accurate "Yoink the Plot Device!" (1d20+15=18) So 18 to snatch up the plot device from Madame Marvelous. you forgot roll the TOU save. Also, the plot device is Hard to lose, meaning that it is only removable wen the other is helpless.
TheAbsurdist Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Will post that after work. EDIT: Assume he is trying to grapple MM then. And Asad fails a toughness save! Toughness (1d20+15=21)
