Azuth65 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Player Name: Azuth65 Character Name: Siphon Power Level: 10 105/105PP Trade-Offs: +1 Defense /-1 Toughness Unspent PP: 3 Progress to Silver Status: 31/60 (Bronze earned with Wisp) In Brief: Inexperienced power-thief. Alternate Identities: Kyle Conners Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City, New Jersey Occupation: Freelance reporter Affiliations: Family: Sally Conners (Mother), Brian Conners (Father) Age: 25 (Born May 10, 1986) Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5' 11†Weight: 190lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Description: Kyle Conners is a handsome and personable young man. His body fairly muscular, showing the many sports he played in high school and college in his musculature. When dressed for work, he prefers black slacks, a satin dress shirt and black suit jacket. He keeps his hair cut short and stays clean shaven. Power Descriptions: When using his powers, his hands turn a shade of silver. As he absorbs the power to be mimicked, traces of the silver run up his arms. His powers however are addictive and not quite under his complete control, activating on random super-humans if he hasn't "fed" them recently. History: Under Construction... Personality & Motivation: Kyle mainly dons the costume to feed his addiction to power mimicking in a productive way, protecting the innocent and stopping criminals. Outside of the mask, he's a funny, friendly, personable man, traits that have served him well in interviews and allowed him to slip into VIP events without being immediately hassled by security. Powers & Tactics: His first move in combat is to find a metahuman opponent and mimic one of their powers, turning it back against them if possible. Complications: Family: Fairly self explanatory here. Hunger: His powers aren't fully controlled and when in contact with metahumans, they may activate without his consent. Responsibility: He has a job, as he's not independently wealthy, he needs to write as per his agreements or find himself looking for a new job. Secret: Identity. Supercape Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I like this! just picking up on one or two crunch first: Profession skills are generally considered not needed this site: it can be covered perfectly by your other skills, so scrap that. Flaw: Skill check required also generally not considered as good choice here - usually because one can ensure by a build that one makes that check (not so in your case). Anyway, the better way to do this is put on the unreliable flaw. There may be some concern about that in the same way that it would not be a valid flaw for something like alternative form or growth (As sooner or later you will activate it...) but personally it seems to fit fine as its linked to fatigue and he is not going to be able to repeatedly do it to a willing team member without KOing them... Fascinate feat I think needs a skill attatched to it, such as perform, or bluff (bluff for you I am sure!) Combat wise I suppose he is a bit stumped if he meets a primarily ranged foe - but hey, that's part of the beauty of the rock-paper-scissors of superhero combat, guess he will need his wits instead!

Noted, has been saved to the copy sitting on my PC. Flaw: Skill check required also generally not considered as good choice here - usually because one can ensure by a build that one makes that check (not so in your case). Anyway, the better way to do this is put on the unreliable flaw. I think I might change it to Distracting instead, showing that his powers are so addicting that when he gets his fix he loses focus for a little bit as the rush hits. Fascinate feat I think needs a skill attatched to it, such as perform, or bluff (bluff for you I am sure!) Yes, the Fascinate lacking a notation for Bluff was a typo. As per the change in skills on the comp's copy, I've fixed that as well.
