Airon Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Steam and Revenant The water level started diminishing quickly in the docks with a loud, most unpleasant gurgling sound. Alice rocked and bobbed, destabilized by the sudden backwash of water. The doppelganger itself seemed unease in the moving water, but still managed to swim towards the submarine. “Get off that wonderful machine, you liar!â€. When she finally got near the true Revenant, they started exchanging blows. The doppelganger missed, and now she was wide open for Revenant's response... Leviathan The stilted movement of the mind-controlled shapeshifter were quite easy to anticipate, and Leviathan's mystic tentacles worked better than ever, thoroughly wrapping themselves around every major joint of his adversary's body, paralyzing her on the spot. Unsuccessfully she tried to roll aside to avoid them, she was entrapped: the only thing left for her to do was pull and try to rip out of her magical chains.
Eviscerus Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Leviathan Leviathan stood over his pain wracked counterpart and frowned in empathy. He knew she was not the master of her actions at the moment and he felt deep pain for what he had to do. "I'm sorry sister, this has to be done. My friends might need my help." With that Leviathan broke into a loud rolling chant that thundered about the room lifting both hands above his head. Between his fingers darkness gathered like smoke tendrils before forming a roiling ball. With the final word of his spell Leviathan threw down his hands, letting the blast take the Ewoma impersonator in the temple, knocking her cold. He couldn't ensure she'd stay down for long and he knew she was ultimately responsible for not one death but two, but be that as it may his compatriots were probably similarly engaged and he knew he must aid them. With a grimace of anger Leviathan stepped into the shadows and teleported outside, into the shadows of the mansion.
Tiffany Korta Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Poor Lord Steam obviously didn’t know which Revenant was which, though she thought that her doubles speech sounded off, she would never say such hockey dialogue. But there had to be something that she could say or do that would distinguish her. Everything she considered, the Doppelganger could counter, she wasn’t even sure if the double could copy her Un-dead state. There was only one thing she could that they didn’t share on common; the double had some mission it needed to complete. “It seems we are cut from the same cloth Revenant, so it is unfortunate that it comes to this. Your only option Lord Steam is to force both of us into Unconsciousness.â€
Airon Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Leviathan Leviathan left the bathroom leaving the unconscious and bound body behind. The personnel of Steam Manor was running towards him to see what was going on with the battle noises in the wing of the mansion. They were startled by Veljlial’s monstrous appearance, and a couple of them fled back to where they came from, but Blakely, the old distinguished butler who greeted them into the mansion, was unfazed and reassured the others that Leviathan was in fact a personal guest of the Lord. “I believe the Lord and his other guests are momentarily at the docks, Mr… ehm… Leviathan, is it?†he cleared his voice “I can accompany you to them, if so you desire. Or perhaps we can be of help with some other matter?†he stood there, with two maids, all waiting for Veljlial’s reply. Steam and Revenant The firm footing on Alice provided Revenant with enough stability to land a blow on her double. The doppelganger was ready to reply, when a loud gurgle announced to everyone that the docks where finally drying for good: Alice impacted on the ground with a metallic clunk, and the doppelganger found herself standing on solid ground, only her ankles still immersed, the water dripping copiously from her 20ies dress suit. “Well, it seems as if I found my footing again! That was very kind of you, Lord Steam! Things do not bode well for you, imposter…â€
Eviscerus Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Leviathan Veijlial bowed in thanks to the butler and motioned for him to lead the way to the docks, hurrying after at a brisk pace. "If there are defenses you can muster I suggest you do so. I believe this place is either currently being, or will be, attacked by the Serpent People. We must hurry." It occurred to Veijlial he might be mistaken, and the spell that was effecting the Ewoma impersonator simply re-asserted itself, but either way, his compatriots needed the information he now had. He decided erring on the side of caution was better than underestimating the scope of the attack, and did not voice his thoughts.
Supercape Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 The odds evened, but not short yet! Lord Steam stood up and climbed as fast as possible out of Alice, to the hatch on its "roof". He popped his head out and observed the fight between two identical brawlers. No...I can't tell one from other! An idea caught his head. The doppelganger may only speak English. Of course, the same may have been true of its target, but this was a possibility - a possibility of at least trying to discriminate. "" He yelled at the two, in his finest Latin.
