Ari Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Right. On the western side of the street, overlooking a bend in the road, an apartment complex with a brick facade. Initiative roll: 17.
Supercape Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 O post away your preparations and master plan IC!
Ari Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Attack on the Spear Statue: 32. I think that might possibly hit! DC17 TOU check. Move action to the other side of the street, taking up a position behind cover if possible.
Supercape Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 What are you attacking with? A damage 2 power?
Supercape Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 Ok that will be entirely ineffective due to impervious 6. Hero Point for that I think! King of Suits - 4 Hero Points - Bruised x2, Fatigued.
Supercape Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Spear Statue vs Bazooka (Explosion 10 Weapon. Basically a portable rocket launcher!). 1d20+10=14 vs DC 25 Injured, Dazed, Staggered!
Ari Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Move Action to get down into the Street where the fight is taking place. No Time to Lose! Sending a pair of bolas at the legs of the Sword Statue in order to halt its Dread Advance! 9. Critical miss. Okay, re-rolling that if I may. Power Attack(+5 DC, -5 to ATK) 16, +10 so 26, -5 so 21! DC19 REF save.
Supercape Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 GIven you are acting directly to save the police, ill award an HP for that heroicism so the reroll is free. 1d20=13 for Reflex save, which it fails, of course. Statue is completely snared... I'll treat that as, effectively, a surprise attack. Lets move into Initiative again if you please! 1d20=15 Ill keep the SWAT guys out of this for now.
Supercape Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 (incidentally remember fatigue penalties: -1 attack, -2 STR, -2 DEX, so your initiative is actually one less) Round 1 26 - King of Suits - 4 Hero Points - Bruised x2 - Fatigued 15- Spear Statue - Injured, Staggered 15 - Sword Statue - Uunharmed. 10- SWAT guys.
Ari Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Okay, going to try the Snare again to render the Spear Statue 'elpless. Power Attack(+4 DC, -4 ATK) Attack roll: 18! EDIT: Actually, plus the MP bonus, that would be 19 I believe. DC18 REF check, and a move action 20ft. away from the Statues.
Supercape Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Thats an easy hit and 1d20+0=5 completely snared. Sword Statue spends round moving all out, and reaches you. Round 2 (of 3 Rounds Masterplan) 26 - King of Suits - 4 Hero Points - Bruised x2 - Fatigued 15- Spear Statue - Injured, Staggered, Snared 15 - Sword Statue - Uunharmed. [10- SWAT guys]
Ari Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 W00T. Okay, going to do one of two things: if I may, I'll layer another Snare atop the Spear Statue, and if not I'd like to throw the trusty bolas(I use these things more than Las Boleadoras, don't I?). In either case, I shall Make a 20ft. Move action further down the street to the north at the end of it. Power Attack(+3 DC, -3 ATK) roll: 26, plus Master Plan I believe that's a 28? DC17 Reflex save.
Supercape Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 That sounds fine but I'm a bit confused: isn't throwing a bola layering another snare anyway?
Ari Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Oh yeah. Right. It is. In that case just going to try and Snare the Sword Statue.
Supercape Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 1d20+0=1 Also completely ensnared! post away!
Supercape Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 Statues going to try and break free, 1d20+4=21, 1d20+4=23 and, remarkably the bolas are only damaged each. SWAT Guy is going to fire Bazooka again. You will be caught in the very fringe of the explosion, Ill call it a DC 14 Reflex save and a DC 19/17 Toughness save please. Statues Toughness Rolls (bearing in mind 1/2 Immunity) im going to rule they both fail reflex rolls. Spear Statue - Direct Hit - DC 20 1d20+5=22 which it makes. Sword Statue - Peripheral Hit - DC 17 1d20+10=16 injured. Next Round: Round 3 (of 3 Rounds Masterplan) 26 - King of Suits - 4 Hero Points - Bruised x2 - Fatigued 15- Spear Statue - Injured, Staggered, Snared (Damaged 1) 15 - Sword Statue - Injured. Snared (Damaged 1) [10- SWAT guys]
Ari Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 DC14 REF save: 14. DC17 TOU save: 12, -2 makes it a 10. Burning a HP to re-roll: 16, +10 so 26! Alright, so now the KoS shall make a Move Action up onto ANOTHER building, and layer another Snare on top of the Sword Statue. EDIT: Attack roll if needed: 22.
Supercape Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 I just noticed, as you have evasion feat and made your reflex save, you get NO damage (rather than half). Nifty. So no need to burn that HP.
Supercape Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Also, against a helpless foe, a 22 will most definitely hit!
Supercape Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 I'm inclined to drop out of combat about now, seeing as the statues are so helpless...
Ari Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I've no objection to that. From pictures I've seen online the statues on the Arc[ de Triomphe are quite beautiful
Supercape Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Ok, Gather Information Check to locate Frederick, and the clock is ticking before Gallu strikes again! I wasn't clear if you are taking the invincible amulet of invincibility with you?
