Supercape Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 For a bummer of a kicker, one hero point straight off! Omen - 2 HP - Unharmed
Brown Dynamite Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Who says Angst isn't a good this. Even if my net's going a bit slow.
Supercape Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Ok, Big Russian has STR 16 (which you would know from your assessment of his tugging strength!). Next action is up to you, but it may well include some dice rolls, as he is resisting you!
Brown Dynamite Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I'm assuming a STR contest will be coming then as Omen will probably give another tug out of stubornness.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I'm assuming a STR contest will be coming then as Omen will probably give another tug out of stubornness.
Supercape Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 No railroading! What Omen does is entirely up to you. And then we work out how to resolve it! If its a strength contest, then yes, it would be STR, but exactly what you do and describe it, lets go from there...?
Supercape Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 I think that calls for a bluff check! to see if Russian believes that you would rather burn them both than let them walk outside!
Brown Dynamite Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Welp, Omen rolled a 23 for his Bluff. Unless the Russian fancies him of course 8-)
Supercape Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 For reference, the environment can now be considered to be hot! As per p167/168 Rules: Every 10 minutes, a Fortitude check, DC 10 +1 Per previous check. Failure is a loss of 1 CON. ANy loss of CON causes fatigue, losing half of your CON causes exhaustion, CON of 3 or less is unconsciousness. I may fudge the time slightly, particularly as certain parts of the building will be hotter or colder.
Supercape Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 Hazard Time: Reflex Roll DC 12 to avoid the Steel Girder collapsing on you. If it hits, thats a DC 20 Toughness roll. Now, in addition the Russian will have to make the same rolls. Of course, you can shove him out of the way but that raises your Reflex DC to 17!
Brown Dynamite Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 So I'm totally gonna push the Russian out of the way before saving my own skin...ended up with a 22. I'm hoping the first ten minutes hasn't passed.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 That means I can play dramatic music in my head still.
Supercape Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Ace. Could I have a little direction in IC about what Omen is doing next? :)
Brown Dynamite Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Sure can do edited the post to have him doing some more.
Supercape Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Throw me a Sense Motive ROll DC 12
Brown Dynamite Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 And we come upon the magical number of...15.
Supercape Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Dude in a Suit is obviously lying - there is somebody back who is not dead (or at least, he thinks is not dead!)
Supercape Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Streetwise skill, untrained, (DC 10) to recognise that the woman is probably a "woman of the night" (keep it polite in the thread!).
Brown Dynamite Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I'm assuming the untrained meant treating the skill check as if he was untrained in Streetwise so only using his int bonus. And Omen's oblivious with a 5.
Brown Dynamite Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Ignorance is bliss. Not that lack of ignorance would've helped him.
Supercape Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 I'm struggling to think of anything that you could use in an appartment building with no water... thoughts?
