Avenger Assembled Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 Harrier stared up at the hovering craft over their heads for a long moment, his face invisible inside his armored cage. "...They can fly. THEY CAN FLY!" As the hunter Wraith had battered aside disappeared in a shimmer of energy, Harrier worked the shaft of his pike and fired a blast of searing black energy straight up at the craft over their heads: the scorching Terminus fire screamed like a damned soul as it tore into the craft's flank, leaving a deep, smoking hole in the ship's side. He'd left himself open to attack from those on the ground, not to mention the ship itself, but he was far more focused on the ship overhead than his own safety at the moment.
Ecalsneerg Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Scholar turned to face the new arrivals, a snarl on her lips... which quickly morphed to a snarl on a feline maw as she dropped to all fours languidly as a tiger once more. Slabs of massive muscle pushing her racing forward in a blue of orange, black and white, she leapt into the air, claws outstretched forwards, all the while her brain calculating ideal trajectories and angles to strike through the armour on the massive hulking Alphans' armour. Her charge hit one of them like a streamroller at a weak spot in his armour, sharp claws backed up by a powerful mind and even more powerful muscles.
JackgarPrime Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Cut off the head, and the body dies. Or at least that's what he was taught. Almost the moment the hunters landed, Victory's eyes went right up to their ship. Whatever orders they were following, or contact they were making, were like coming through there. As Wraith and Scholar engaged the grounded foes, Victory combines his own approach with Harrier's attack, the bolt of energy serving as not only a powerful blow in and of itself, but a great cover, as Victory flew right behind it. Right after the bolt of energy hit, a second impact rocked the ship, as Victory's powerful fist blew right up into the underside, landing sqaure on the already-damaged location that Harrier had impacted. But after the shockwave of his punch faded, Victory could hear those transmissions coming from his own body again. They almost seemed like.... "A...sports announcer?"
