Okay, the Race! will be decided by a DEX roll(to navigate the forest quickly) and a CON roll(to slog through the snow in winter stuff). In case of a tie in one of the rolls(unlikely), a simple tie-breaker 1d20 roll by both parties, with the higher roll the winner of that category. Sound good?

Also, if you want to fly, a WIS roll to predict the best route to fly.

Serge easily finds a small green remote control hidden in the antlers of the dead deer, and sees lots of tracks around the floor made by oddly narrow feet that left arrowhead-like impressions. They went up to the place where the deer skull now is, wandered around for a bit, and left.

The password is JW3K9V5R4N56DD, not too complicated.

The keyboard uses an input system that in aesthetics matches modern cell phones, but its wiring system and power supply, not to mention its materials, are obviously from at least 30 years ago. It looks to have been handmade, with numerous idiosyncrasies in the keys and much bulkier and more inelegant hardware than would be used commercially.

Net Fly takes 20 on his Computers check or his Knowledge Technology check, whichever is aplicable, for a total of 30, in order to determine the properties of the control panel.

If Net Fly cannot take 20 on those checks, he takes 10, for a total of 20

You totally can, there's no pressing worry.

It quickly becomes apparent that the controls don't actually DO anything. The facility is wholly automated, and the controls have been disconnected from the electrical grid, though their lighting in still active.

Taking 10 on Knowledge Technology[Total 20], to diagnose if the thing is operational and connected to the facility's intranet, 10 on Craft Electronics[total 20] to repair any possible damage it may have, using Datalink to connect with the machine, taking 10 on Computers[total 20] to defeat any possible security I may encounter, and a 20 on Computers[total 30] to ascertain the location of the mainframe

1. Succeeds. Everything is fully in working order. Newly tuned with the latest software to keep it running at top efficiency.

No security systems encountered. the mainframe is somewhere in the first level, in a room mindbogglingly placed so that only an elevator coming up from the third level could get to it.

Serge finds out from the computer that something ten miles north in the forest is sending the signal, and that whatever it's doing is, among other things, interfering with the robots and causing them to focus on reaching that previously indeterminate spot. As well, it is remotely-controlling the machinery of the place.

The robots are around 500 lbs.(about 225kgs.)

Using Super-STR to increase effective STR to 35, which makes 1024lbs. a Light Load. Picking it up in a fireman's hoist and carrying it back to the elevator.
