KnightDisciple Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 1 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP 3.)Redbird (19): Unhurt, 0 HP 4.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 1 Bruise, Demoralized (1round), 0 HP 5.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 6.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP If he wasn't Demoralized (which admittedly fades at this point, I think), OG2 might make that check. As it is, he can't. So, he's no longer Demoralized, but he is Feinted as far as Midnight and Redbird are concerned. He's up, though. We'll go with Ranged Attack vs Redbird: 28. EDIT: That's 26, because he's still demoralized, I counted things wrong. But, still a hit! DC 27 Toughness Save. Nick's Up! Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 1 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP 3.)Redbird (19): Unhurt, 0 HP 4.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 1 Bruise, Flatfooted/Feinted vs Midnight, Demoralized (1round), 0 HP 5.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 6.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP
Gizmo Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Toughness Check vs. DC 27. (1d20+10=20) Unfortunately, as a minion, that knocks Redbird out. The Night Cycle itself is still functional, however.
trollthumper Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Nick will attempt another Startle as a Move Action (this is on my old sheet, which doesn't have the Challenge Feat that would really make this work) against OG1. He gets a 17. Then he pops Ereshkigal's Talons and takes a swipe at the guy, using Accurate Attack maneuver for +2/-2. That is a 22, so DC29 Toughness save if it hits.
KnightDisciple Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Vs Startle: 23. So, no go there. But 22 just hits his Defense of +12. DC 29 Toughness Save: 26 (1 bruise already). So, another bruise. Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 2 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP -.)Redbird (19): Unconscious, 0 HP 3.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 1 Bruise, Flatfooted/Feinted vs Midnight, Demoralized (1round), 0 HP 4.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 5.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP Then it goes to Corbin, whose currently also going after OG1. Same strategy as last time. Free Action: All-Out Attack 5: Attack is 17, Defense is 2 (we'll go with the old sheet, like TT is doing. So Toughness 17 and Defense 7). Power Attack 5: Attack is 12, DC is 32 for Toughness Standard Action: Melee Attack! 32, and it's a Nat 20! So, DC goes up by another 5. OG1 Toughness Save DC 37 (with 2 Bruises): 23 1 shy of a KO. But, that still leaves him Staggered and renews his Daze. So, it'll be Midnight, then Redbird, then OG2. IC post up shortly. Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP <-- 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 2 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), Staggered, 0 HP -.)Redbird (19): Unconscious, 0 HP 3.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 1 Bruise, Flatfooted/Feinted vs Midnight, Demoralized (1round), 0 HP 4.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 5.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP
Gizmo Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Midnight II Standard Action: Escrima Sticks, Sneak Attack, Power Attack 5. (1d20+9=24) That should be a DC 23+2+5=30 Toughness Save for Orange Goon 2. Let me know how that goes and I'll finish up his turn.
KnightDisciple Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 He gets a 28, so that's another bruise.
Gizmo Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Alright, in that case: Move Action: Auto DC 30 Intimidate to Startle Orange Goon 2. Extra Effort: Surge Standard Action: Escrima Sticks, Sneak Attack, Power Attack 5. (1d20+9=23) Same thing, should be DC 30.
KnightDisciple Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 28 doesn't beat Startle. So, yes, flat-footed, and you'd hit anyways. 17. So he's now Startled, Dazed, and Staggered.
KnightDisciple Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 2 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP -.)Redbird (19): Unconscious, 0 HP 3.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 1 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), Staggered, 0 HP 4.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 5.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP Normally OG2 would be up. But, well, Dazed. So it's Nick's turn again! OG1 has 2 Bruises and a Daze. He's just kind of standing there.
trollthumper Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Nick is going to unleash another round of Ignis Fatuus on Orange Goon 2. ...this f***ing power. Screw it, Hero Point. Better. DC24 Will save.
KnightDisciple Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 DC 24 Will... 23. OG2 is at 2 Bruises now. And now CT is up. Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 2 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP -.)Redbird (19): Unconscious, 0 HP 3.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 2 Bruises, Dazed (1 round), Staggered, 0 HP 4.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 5.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP He's going to go after OG1, his typical target. Free Action: All-Out Attack 5: Defense 2 (this is old version), Attack 17 Power Attack 5: Attack 12, Toughness Save DC 32 Standard Action: Melee Attack again! 17 won't cut it. Hm. I have 4 HP. Using a Hero Point Reroll. 13, which becomes 23. Which is just good enough. OG1 Toughness Save vs DC 32, with 2 Bruises: 26. He misses by 6, so...Daze renews, another Bruise. Initiative Roster: -.)Orange Goon 3 (29): Unconscious, 0 HP 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 3 HP 2.)Orange Goon 1 (20): 3 Bruise, Dazed (1 round), 0 HP -.)Redbird (19): Unconscious, 0 HP 3.)Orange Goon 2 (18): 2 Bruises, Dazed (1 round), Staggered, 0 HP 4.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 3 HP 5.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 3 HP And it's to Midnight. Then...I guess OG2 will actually be up and about. Not that it'll do him much good...
KnightDisciple Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Right, so, basically, I'm tired of us being bogged down with these poozers. Giz, TT, don't worry about OOC rolls. Just write an IC post of them being awesome and taking out the 2 remaining thugs. We'll exchange a post or two, then, main event! Where hopefully teamwork will help things go more smoothly.
KnightDisciple Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 All of us get a Hero Point for this dude being sneaky-sneaky and going unnoticed until he speechified! I'm keeping our initiative from last time. Bad Guy: 11. Initiative Roster: 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 4 HP 2.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 4 HP 3.)Orange Ring Bearer (11): Unhurt, 0 HP 4.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP Midnight is up!
Gizmo Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Alright, since they did have some time to plan: Knowledge (Tactics) Check for Master Plan. (1d20+15=21) That's a +2 bonus. Midnight II Free Action: Active Master Plan. Standard Action: Auto-37 Startle vs. Orange Ring Bearer. Move Action: Auto-32 Stealth.
KnightDisciple Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Alright, since they did have some time to plan: Knowledge (Tactics) Check for Master Plan. (1d20+15=21) That's a +2 bonus. Midnight II Free Action: Active Master Plan. Standard Action: Auto-37 Startle vs. Orange Ring Bearer. Move Action: Auto-32 Stealth. He cannot beat that Startle, as even a Natural 20 with his Intimidate of 15 isn't high enough. Likewise, he can't beat that Stealth. So, Master Plan +2 bonus in effect, he's Startled for Midnight, and he can't see him. Nick's up next.
trollthumper Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Nick decides to try a Demoralize as a Move Action. It... totally fails. He then attempts to use Ignis Fatuus again. That's better. As this is using Nick's old sheet, before everything was rank 12, that's going to be DC24 Will save for him.
KnightDisciple Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Will Save: 14. He's Staggered and Dazed! Initiative Roster: 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 4 HP 2.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 4 HP 3.)Orange Ring Bearer (11): Staggered and Dazed, 0 HP 4.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP So it goes to Cobalt Templar. I think he'll opt for Blasting as well. Ranged Attack: 30 hits. DC 27 Toughness. 28 just barely makes it. Back to Midnight (once my IC is up).
Gizmo Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Midnight II Move Action: Auto-DC 32 Demoralize vs. ORB. Standard Action: Attack ORB; Power Attack 5, Master Plan +2. (1d20+11=29) That'll be DC 23 + 5 Power Attack + 2 Sneak Attack = 30.
KnightDisciple Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Right then, let's see... 30 on the dot. He's unhurt, Nick is up. EDIT: Scratch all of that, he's got a Bruise. Initiative Roster: 1.)Midnight (23): Unhurt, 4 HP 2.)Nick Cimitiere (14): 2 Bruise, 4 HP 3.)Orange Ring Bearer (11): Bruised 1, Staggered, Shaken, and Dazed, 0 HP 4.)Cobalt Templar (9): 1 Bruise, 4 HP
trollthumper Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 All right, then. Ereshkigal's Talons this time, with Accurate Attack for +2 ATT/-2 DMG. 29, so DC29 Toughness if that hits.
KnightDisciple Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 To speed things along, I'm going to just say "he fails the check". But! I will attempt to get a GM post and CT post up shortly. I'm a little disappointed with how the fight went; you guys were fine, but I feel like he didn't quite give the showing I wanted, so I'm going to GM-Fudge things a bit. Anyways, that'll come later. But yes, Nick knocked him down, good job.
KnightDisciple Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 FYI I've got another post or two coming IC, just short on time right now.
