Quinn
Free Action: Swap costumes! (And lose the backpack.) Move Action: Teleport back into the room, and begin next action; Spend HP to Surge. Full Round Action (two Standard Actions): Stunt Exorcism 10 (Flaws: Action [Full], Distracting) [10 PP] That's Perception-range, lots of shiny and glowy, and a DC 20 Power check from the Possession. Raveled
So here's the thing. The skeleton is technically not possessed -- I mean, that's what's happening in-universe right now, a spirit is moving around the shark display. Mechanically though, it's just a big nasty monster. So technically there is no spirit to contend the check. However, I really like the idea of just forcing the spirit out, so I'm going to allow it, and have the shark resist with a Will save. Shark's Will Save, vs DC 20. (1d20+7=12) And it's out. Q, post an IC without the result, please. Link to comment
Scuffles
So after being snarky at Mister Perry, Kristin is going to dash off and find the nearest place she can get changed in unobserved. She's been wearing her jumpsuit under her clothes anyways, and the rest of her gear is in her (not pink and hello kitty) bag. Link to comment
Quinn
Okay, couple of things. First, Morgan taps into his not-inconsiderable Arcane Lore to figure out...well...WTF just happened here. What that spirit thing was, for one. Knowledge: Arcane Lore check! (1d20+10=20) Booyah. Next, activate Rune of the Veil, full Visual Concealment. And then follow that up with Skill Mastery Take 10 on Stealth, he is functionally under Stealth 20 at the moment. Link to comment
Raveled
From the aura, Crow deduces that it was a spirit of rage and hate, or possibly a predator spirit, commanded to take control of the skeleton and do whatever ill deeds it could. From what he knows of such workings, it would require a specially prepared anchor to tie it to the skeleton. Link to comment
Scuffles
Rav said I could roll "pop culture" and "current events" knowledge rolls for some info on Hayden. Knowledge (Current events) = 1d20+5=7 Knowledge (Pop culture) = 1d20+5=15 I guess that's not worth much.. Link to comment
Raveled
I don't think that'll come up with anything immediately useful, no. Link to comment
Ari
Knowledge(Pop Culture): 20. Knowledge(Current Events): 23. ...Huh. That turn up anything useful on the guy? Link to comment
Raveled
Pop Culture You recall a Discovery Channel special about Todd Hayden. He's an underwater archeologist and explorer, something like Indiana Jones meets Jacques Cousteau. Recently he's been working in the Mediterranean, bringing up artifacts of pre-Minoan civilization. He's come under fire from the Atlantean government, who consider him a grave-robber; other history groups praise him for revealing the secrets of a much-lost portion of Earth's past. Link to comment
Raveled
Everyone fine with fast-forwarding to Hayden's house? Link to comment
Scuffles
Sounds like a good idea to me! Link to comment
Quinn
Okay, magic time. En-route, Morgan's going to do a bit of prep (hopefully whoever's carrying him is nice enough to fly low enough to grab a rock). Using the piece of chalk always in his belt, a handy rock, and a bit of woogity, he's going to jury-rig a magic bug. With communication. ESP 5 (Auditory) [Extras: Linked (Communication 5); Flaws: Medium (A Rock!)] + Communication 5 (Mental) [Extras: Linked (ESP 5); Flaws: Medium (A Rock!)] (Jury-Rigged Air Runestone) [5 pp] Once that's done, he'll slip it into, say, Glow's pocket. Batman-style! (If she noticed or not is up to you, Scuffy. ) And once they reach the house, he'll hole up on the roof, stealthy-like (Total Visual Concealment on). Perch on a sea serpent-type statue and look real broody. The stone's power has a 50-feet radius, but it's pretty much up to Rav if they trek out of it's range and he has to improvise right-quick. Raveled
Anyone listening to Hayden can make a Sense Motive check (DC 15) and anyone in the room can make a Notice check (DC 25). Link to comment

If you beat the first, you realize that he doesn't really know who created the rest of the skeleton. If you beat the second, you realize that he's scared of Ernest. Link to comment

Raveled
Well that was weird.. does he not know where the thing came from? He's supposed to be the patron who donated the thing? He's jumpy too... "So can you give us the details of the company please?" Krisin asked to press the issue a little bit. "It's really important that we track down whoever tampered with the skeleton and the company that made it is the best place to start. Well after here that is." She looked over her shoulder towards the door as the Butler called out again. Wow that guy is pretty full-on for a manservant.. Scuffles, you just made a Sense Motive check that tells you that this guy has no freaking idea where the skeleton really came from. Link to comment
