A cult that worshipped the "deep ones" and the unspeakable one. They were pro-slavery, in the very worst way, justifying it as dominance over an inferior race, and being brutal about it. The book alludes to human sacrifice. The Cult was called "The Coldblood". They did not partake in the war, but seemed in a peculiar way to worship and revel in its horrors.
