Tiffany Korta Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 As going to try to heal the horse. As I don't have resurrect and I'm out of HP I hoping that dramatic coincidence let us arrive just in time to stablalise the horse...
Supercape Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 I reckon thats a slight bend of the plot to a possible advantage...lets go with that for if you wish to HP it?
Tiffany Korta Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Alas unlees my maths is wrong, which it often is, I'm out of HP. Which is why I'm stretching the point so slightly. I would if I could but...
Supercape Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 If its ok with you, then I would go with Horsey being dead, because, you know, thats what it is . Whilst this is mainly fluff, it sets the tone for a nasty piece of work villain!
Supercape Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Feel free to make a Life Sciences Roll to determine time of death (and you may post accordingly) of Horse... DC 10 Death is not recent (within an hour), and may be up to a few days ago. DC 15 Horse died within a few hours, its not decomposing but is cold and stiff. DC 20 + (Trained only) Horse died 6 hours ago.
Supercape Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Good post, TK. Feel free to use that "shaken by horrible magics" as a complication for this thread if you wish (like flummuxing diplomacy rolls as you implied!). This is purely going to be optional on your part, however.
Ari Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Life Sciences roll: 9. So he has NO idea about the circumstances of horsey's untimely torment.
Supercape Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Ok Ari, throw me some Notice, Sense Motive and Diplomacy Rolls! If you switch to a more intimidating stance, throw me that too.
Ari Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 H'kye! Diplomacy: 18. Notice: 11. Sense Motive: 26. Nah, he's going to be all smiles and sunshine.
Supercape Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Just to note, El Heraldo can pick up Parsons Speech, but Young B cannot. If El Heraldo wants to communicate what he heard, he will need to either say out loud (so Parsons can hear) or use bluff innuendo as per rules.
Ari Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Bluff time, using the skill to let YB know that these guys are involved with Set: 22.
Supercape Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Thats enough for a complex message. YB to make a sense motive roll please DC 10 for a basic understanding, DC 15 for a complex message, and DC 20 for new information i.e. the details. E.g. (Detail up to you guys) DC 10: Heads up, this dude is bogus! DC 15:Heads up! this dude is probably mixed up with the cult or something. DC 20: The gist of what he said!
Tiffany Korta Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Sense Motive Roll 1d20+1=18, so I've got the general idea.
Supercape Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Ok this guy is not going to be much of a fight actually, but he is throwing you an emotion control (despair) effect. Will Saves vs DC 15. As this is a Sense Dependent (Visual) thing ("look into my eyes....") you can also have a Reflex Save vs 15 to look away at the last moment.
Tiffany Korta Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 It's 50/50, but I'll go for a Reflex Save 1d20+4=16.
Supercape Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 May as well roll initiative guys (for the round after this surprise attack). Parsons: 1d20+0=16 Also, for failing the gaze of horror! Despair: The subject is shaken, suffering a –2 on attack rolls, saving throws, and checks. Failure by 10 or more means the target is overcome with hopelessness, helpless and unable to take any actions. NB: Feel free to also use this as an extra complication, such as running away gibbering Cthulloid madness, or becoming pathologically afraid of Churches, or any other madness you wish to inflict on yourself!
Tiffany Korta Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Initiative : 1d20+4=22, wow YB is pumped . Oh and does provoking the Reverend into combat a fluffed diplomacy attempt? Cause I could probably do with that HP.
Supercape Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 On that note, I presume Hraldo is throwing in a compliation over and above the normal despair effect, and going for irrational phobia of CHurches, fleeing the area? (Ari could you confirm?) Which means Heraldo - 2 HP - Unharmed - Shaken Young Brittania - Unharmed And YOung Brittania left with Parsons!
Ari Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Technically yes, he's experiencing powerful(and for him terrifying) hallucinations as well as a vague awareness of the Reverend's "patron"as an immense and fearsome presence.
