Quinn Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 The red-clad ninjas moved in as one at the order, leaping from their positions with flips and twists and padding feet; silent as a grave and twice as deadly. Ninja-to flashed from sheaths and reflected the moonlight as they expertly separated into groups of ten, hemming each of the three (visible) heroes. Soon, each of the young neophyte do-gooders was separated and surrounded; and there was no mercy behind those flat red masks. Crimson Tiger was the first to suffer the wrath of the ninja; ten rose as one and crowded in towards her, some low, some high, some straight-on - a flurry of fists and feet and blades seeking to bring the martial artist to heel!
Aoiroo Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Catalyst listened in through her van speaker as she mulled over the most appropriate response. Covering the area in fog would only be an advantage to herself, and blinding the other heroes would not be useful. So, the next logical step was pepperspray, which she had in spades as she loaded up the rifle and went to work. She hit through the crowds nailing each individual ninja one by one. One group managed to push back so that she couldn't hit them in the face, but there were a good few who didn't have that luxury and making a group of blind ninjas as opposed to a fully functional one would hopefully help the heroes below emensely. She readied her pistols just in case and surveyed the area waiting for the response.
Quinn Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 The ninjas took the barrage from above in silence, some clutching at faces while others whirled their arms, legs, and blades just in time to block the incoming fire. Blodeuwedd and Glow, for their part, found themselves in a most joyous turn of events - whereas before they were menaced by red-clad killers with flickering blades, now their foes staggered and waved wildly, desperately trying to regain the advantage before the heroes took advantage. The group surrounding Blod leapt to the offense once their eyes were lost, trusting to other senses - which unfortunately nearly failed them. Blades flickered and fists swung, barely if any finding purchase on the Welsh heroine's costume or skin. The ones striking at Crimson Tiger turned their masks as one, then - staring eerily at where the glint of a barrel had given them notice before the barrage descended. Committed already, they could not disengage and leap up the building towards her, but their intentions were plain from that as-one glare.
KnightDisciple Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Amaterasu had drawn her sword in the blink of an eye, batting away the pepper spray projectile with an economy of motion that was almost frightening. Susanoo had snarled and ducked his head at the last moment, and the burst of irritant scattered harmlessly on the wall behind him. Shenlong simply closed his eyes and held his breath for a moment, the powder quickly fading from the air before he calmly brushed the irritant off of his clothing, even as the ninjas around him surged into action. "Argh! This stuff hurts! Ack! Whoever did that, I'm gonna beat you senseless in a minute! You're going to wish you'd just stayed in bed today!" Kitsune was crouched on the ground, her teary eyes clenched shut as she furiously tried to scrub the spray out of her eyes. It seemed to only be making things worse for the moment. "We leave now. Our brothers and sisters can deal with these fools for the moment at least. We must prepare, and attend to Kitsune. Shenlong, help her." "Bah! Should stay and fight." "We go. Calm down, Kitsune, I've got you." And somehow, their deliberate movements didn't keep them from slipping out of sight; the chaotic mess of blinded and non-blinded ninjas helped matters, most likely. But what were they preparing for?
Thunder King Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Crimson Tiger watched as ten skilled ninja charged in her direction. One after another, they struck at her, swinging blades with deadly precision. Except, of course, for the fact that she dodged them all. "So, budget cuts on ninjas?" She said as she brought her hands to the correct position. She raised her knee into the air, taking the proper Muay Thai stance. It was her turn. She danced, spinning and delivering kicks, knees, elbows and punches. Her body twisted and moved in many different angles and ways, striking here, and there, and there. Ten ninja advanced to attack, ten stumbled back, clutching heads and abdomens, their bodies bruised and battered.
Quinn Posted May 26, 2012 Author Posted May 26, 2012 Ninjas bowled about like tenpins, obviously taken by surprise by the savage fury of the Tiger's assault; none of their parries or dodges found purchase, and soon all ten were clutching their heads or softer areas. They didn't curse or howl in pain, just staggered about in silence, clearly bemoaning their choice of employment for the time being. The squad surrounding Glow leapt to the offense as well, swinging blades wildly but expertly. Fortunately for the Disaster From Down Under, it seems Catalyst's shots to the eyes had messed up their directions something fierce; every one of their blows swung over or around her, none coming even close to scratching the uniform.
Tiffany Korta Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 “I guess are moment of surprise has passed. If anyone can try to follow the Master Ninja’s then I suggest you do so.†With that the time for words was over, she knew some heroes liked to keep up a constant stream of words as they thought. She however preferred to concentrate on the task in hand. Crouching down she began to draw Dyrnwyn its unnatural fire lighting up the alleyway. As she drew the sword she leapt and struck the sword out at the Ninja’s it fiery blade sweeping out in an arc. Following the spin she ended crouched back down not worry if the sword had struck. Either it had or now all she had to worry about was there reactions. Tucking the sword under the folds of her cloak she activated Ffoniwch Eluned and faded from sight.
Scuffles Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 "Aww man..." Fighting a ninja death-squad hadn't really been one of the things Kristin had expected from a recon mission to a warehouse. Illuminated by the barrier that wrapped tightly around her, Glow stepped into the midst of the blinded ninjas. Her eyes flicked back and forth between them as she weaved away from attacks, ducked under others and then waved a sword aside with an almost contemptuous telekinetic push. Positioned amidst her assailants the young heroine gathered her powers and lashed out, battering and buffeting them with a wave of mental force that sent several staggering backwards and more than one sprawling to the ground.
