VideoGeek Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm at work, don't have my books, so if anyone could do me a solid and look something up I'd be grateful; What action does snare use? I think it's a standard, which means I can't snare a robot and use it to bludgeon the other one with inside a turn. It'd be really fun, though!
Ari Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 That succeeds. He hears soft clicks coming from most of the halls and adjoining rooms, and faint shouts from the next floor up. VG, if you want you COULD use a Surge, which in exchange for suffering a Fatigue condition. Snare uses a Standard Action, being technically an Attack and all. You can use one extra Move OR Standard Action before or after your regular ones, your choice. EDIT: If you choose to Surge, that is.
VideoGeek Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 I'll save it for when I'm really in trouble. For now, BEATINGS. Attack: (1d20+8=10) Using a move action to flee.
Raveled Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Ironclad can take 20 on both the Know/Tech and Notice checks as a Free action, blowing those DCs out of the water. What does she learn about those plans?
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 It's the blueprints for a remote activator, judging from the design it appears to be some kind of detonator.
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Sneakbot 2 will move all-out to reach the wacked organic. Okay, round 2! 1. Ironclad: Unharmed, 4HP 2. Sneakbot 1: Unharmed 3. Penitent, the: Unharmed, 1HP 4. Corp. Cosmos: Unharmed, 1HP 5. Sneakbot 2: Unharmed. You're up Rav!
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Also, if you want Shofet the Penitent can try for a DC18 Sense Motive check on Weissnacht's last message.
Raveled Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 In that case, Ironclad will fly to somewhere that she has a clear line of sight on, let us say, Sneakbot 2 and attack it. Ironclad's ranged attack check, vs Sneakbot's Def. DC 27 Tou (1d20+12=22) The most utterly average roll possibly.
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Hits, TOU check DC27: 28. Lordy. Also: Sneakbot 1 is the only metal chappy within range of ironclad's Flight, assuming she's not going faster than her normal movement. With that, it will attempt to reason with the battlesuited heroine by persuasive punchings. Attack roll: 13. Misses by much. Penitent is up!
Raveled Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Without switching to her Servos AP, she can't use her S-Str. So yes, ATM she has Flight 5. Not that it much mattered, of course...
Shofet Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 2 trip attacks -- 18 + 19 = 37, and 1 + 19 = 20. So no trip on the second robot unless he botches things as well. And now for the strength check 2 + 10 = 12 The invisible castle obviously hates me. BUUUUTTTTT since I start the session with a hero point, well... 10 + 10 + that extra ten = 30 Ehehehehe, aaaallllright.
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 STR is these guy's higher score, so they'll try and beat that. Sneakbot 1: 18. Prone! Sneakbot 2: 19...Prone'd! Corporal Cosmos, take it away!
VideoGeek Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Attack: (1d20+8=10) Oh what the hell, Invisible Castle, really? Again?
Ari Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 That hits! EDIT: please forgive this lapse, it does not, the Defence bonus grants them an 11, my apologies VG. Sneakbot 2's(I'm assuming that's your target, always clarify who your'e attacking, even if it seems obvious!) DC27(also make plain what attack you're using) TOU save: 25, a Bruise(or dent or whatever).EDIT: Nope. Okay, Sneakbot 2 will spend a Move Action clambering back on its feet, and take a swing at Corp. Attack roll: 20, a miss! Round Three! Ironclad: Unharmed! 4HP Sneakbot 1: Unharmed, Prone Penitent, the: Unharmed, 0HP Corp. Cosmos: Unharmed, 1HP Sneakbot 2: Bruise(x1) EDIT: Nope, my mistake, Unharmed. You're up Rav!
Raveled Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 FYI if the 'bots have Fortitude Immunity, then they take Injuries, not Bruises. Ironclad's gonna knock #2's block off! Ironclad's melee attack, vs Sneakbot's Def. DC 27 Tou (1d20+12=18)
Ari Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Hits! DC27 TOU check: 20. dazed, Brusied and Injured. Passing by Sneakbot 1 to the Penitent, you're up Shofet!
Shofet Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 19 + 12 = 31, baby That was on Sneakbot 2, the one getting up.
Ari Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 That hits, DC27 TOU check: 26. A narrowly-won bruise! You're up VG!
Ari Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Aaaaand apparently this is slowly turning into a HUGE error, so I'll try and fix this while it's still a relatively small one. Rav was aiming at Sneakot 2 the whole time, not Sneakbot 1(on the wall). So thus the bit with the Sneakbot 1 attacking ironclad makes NO SENSE. We'll amend out IC posts to remove this accident.
Ari Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Also redone TOU check for the Sneakbot 2, as it was actually Bruised, Dazed and Injured just now. DC27 TOU check: 15. They are now..Disabled, Injured, Dazed and Bruised. Going to rule Sneakbot 1 was able to get up and is proceeding with all haste to the power room. 60ft away from it, 100ft. from the scuffle with its comrade.
VideoGeek Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Finally! Attack: (1d20+8=26) ***EDIT*** Sneakbot 1, if I wasn't clear. Forgot to specify.
Ari Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Okay, after checking I'm now sure what's going on now, so... DC27 TOU check:27. Don't that just beat all... Okay, Sneakbot 2 is Disabled, Injured, Bruised and Dazed, so skipping its turn and going right to the next round. Order: Ironclad: Unharmed, 4HP Sneakbot 1: Unharmed Penitent, the: Unharmed, 0HP Corporal Cosmos: Unharmed, 1HP Sneakbot 2: Injured(x1), Bruised(x1), Disabled You're up again Rav.
Raveled Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Clad'll punch Sneakbot 1. Finally. Ironclad's ranged attack, vs Sneakbot 1's Def. DC 27 Tou (1d20+12=16) Or not.
Ari Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 For reasons best known to itself, it leaps 25 feet along the wall, turns and opens fire on Ironclad with its cannons. Attack roll: 18. Huh. DC25 TOU save, please. Shofet, you're up.
