Raveled Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 It's pretty thick glass. Let's go with the Toughness of wood. Breaking it would make a big rush of water, but once it petered out it'd only be a wet floor, basically. Could I get a Wis check from you two? DC 15 It's only about 4:30, in July. The sun is still up outside.
Scuffles Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Okay, so Glow wishes to attack Lapetus to start a grapple, then throw him at the side of the big fish tank. Unfortunately a 16 isn't going to hit him so that's out. Meanwhile, she might mention the weather outside to Heraldo..
Ari Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 He was just out there, he'll blasted well know it's sunny!
Raveled Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Iapetus Move Action: Get in close to Glow. Standard Action: Bitey-bite! This is a Drain Wisdom 11 effect. Iapetus' melee attack w/ +2 All-Out Attack, vs Glow's Def. DC 21 Fort (1d20+8=21) Okay, save vs the Drain.
Scuffles Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Fort save: 9 which seems pretty bad. So I looked up drain and it looks like it doesn't actually matter how much you fail the save by, is that right? seems a bit strange to me. I might re-roll if it does matter obviously :D
Raveled Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 You lose as many points of whatever as you failed the roll by. So in this case 2 pts of Wisdom.
Scuffles Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Reroll for the fort save: 25 Glow's action was already posted when we got the order mixed up. She failed to grab and throw Lapetus!
Raveled Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Initiative 22 -- Tethys -- Uninjured -- GM 13 -- El Heraldo -- Buisex2 -- HPx1 11 -- Iapetus -- Uninjured -- GM 10 -- Glow -- Uninjured -- HPx2 Tethys is up next. Tethys Move Action: Close the distance to El Heraldo. Standard Action: Punch. Tethys's melee attack check, vs EH's Def. DC 24 Tou (1d20+9=29) ... Yikes. Um, let's stunt a Paralyze! Paralyze 9, so that's a DC 24 Tou and a DC 19 Will. Someone might want to throw her out a window soon, is all I'm gonna say.
Ari Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Alrighty. DC24 TOU save: 29!! DC19 Will save: 12! As I expected. EDIT: Reroll(0HP) 26 with +10 reroll bonus. Grapple attempt to do what Glow could do much better. Accurate Attack(+-2) roll: 10. Spectacular. EDIT: Move Action away from Tethys.
Raveled Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 *Looks at all that's been happening* Right-o. Iapetus Full Action: Running away. Flee!
Scuffles Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Free action: Yell at retreating Lapetus! Get back here coward! Standard action: Knock out the roof with telekinesis!
Raveled Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Tethys takes -1 to all physical ability scores per minute in sunlight, so her Str and Dex are both down by 1. That reduces her Ref save, melee damage, and grapple check by 1, each. She is going to flee in a different direction from Iapetus. Fun!
Ari Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Okay! Flying after Tethys,[EDIT]. Once there, using Super-Breath to make an attempted Trip. Strength roll! 27! Beat that vampire[snake-man]! :argh:
Raveled Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 He cannot possibly make that check, so he falls prone. Gets right back up again and keeps running, mind, but he falls prone for a bit! Glow's up next.
Scuffles Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Glow would love to put Tethys down but she's now a problem for another time. She'll chase after Lapetus and Heraldo. If she uses her flight can she catch up?
Raveled Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 I'd say Glow could catch up with Iapetus in a single Move action. So she can still get a Standard action in, if you want.
Scuffles Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 One standard action coming right up! Attack Lapetus with Telekinesis: 23! DC 24 toughness if that hits him.
Raveled Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Iapetus's Toughness save, vs DC 23. (1d20+10=26) Nope.
Ari Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Move action up to Iapetus, making a Grapple attempt(Because of how well THAT's bound to go). Attack roll: 28! Grapple roll: 38!
Raveled Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Iapetus's opposed Grapple, vs DC 38. (1d20+12=25) He is Bound + Helpless.
Scuffles Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 So if he's bound and helpless that would make it Glow's turn right? Can she head over there and coup de grace him? (Did I spell that right? hmm!)
Raveled Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 He can still take mental actions and try to break out. Let me roll that after school.
Raveled Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Iapetus Move Action: Escaping from a grapple. Rolling vs. El Hearldo's grapple bonus of 21. Iapetus's escape check, vs El Heraldo. (1d20+12=22) Just barely! Moves away from him. Free Action: Stunting off the Magic Array. Snare 12 Take a HP, El Heraldo! Standard Action: Snare vs. EH. Iapetus's ranged attack check, vs El Heraldo's Def. DC 22 Snare (1d20+8=27) Hey hey, it hits! Initiative 22 -- Tethys -- Escaped? -- GM 13 -- El Heraldo -- Buisex2 -- HPx1 11 -- Iapetus -- Uninjured -- GM 10 -- Glow -- Uninjured -- HPx2
Ari Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Reflex save vs. DC22 Snare: 15! Reroll(0HP): 18! Kick his ass Scuff, Glow needs it for the resume anyhow.
