Aoiroo Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Carrie blinked, the car didn't bother her, the name though, it sounded, "Like from Firefly?" Taking a step forward, looked at it, "It looks like a Vera. Not sure what to call my car, it's just, it's a mini cooper, I can't quite get a British enough sounding name." She slid inside and put on the seatbelt. The name thing, not that weird. Given, weird is relative, if anything was going to shock her, a car with a name wasn't going to do it. Waiting she thought about the cafe, "It's in Riverside, the Cafe, hope that's not too far."
Quinn Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 At this point, Zeke was hopped up enough that he would have run, not drove, run clear to Wharton State Forest to cool off. Riverside wasn't much of a distance in his mind. He nodded with that same weak smile, and closed the door, walking back around the car (ignoring the increasingly large bit of rust on the front left of the bumper), and pulled open the driver's side door with a tiny bit too much force. Tiny finger-clench marks on the door handle. Great. He gave thanks she couldn't see that. The Fastest Fighter Alive flopped down onto the driver's side seat, and flipped the car keys in. He didn't start the car yet, though - a thought seemed to occur to him, and he held up a finger. Then checked his watch. Looked out at the building. About a minute passed, and then he turned back to her, and the weak smile had actually turned mischevious. "By the way - act five just went on. No bad guys." Irons turned the key and hit the gas pedal - the car rolled away from the curb and down the road towards Riverside.
