KnightDisciple Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Diplomancer Mode, Active! Skill Mastery for 50 on Diplomacy. Second verse, same as the first!
Supercape Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 How do you guys want to play it? In case it is not obvious...the twins are located in the Research station you went to first (where you met scraps, but didn't enter...) I dropped as many hints as I think I could get away with and your characters are sufficiently astute to put two and two together! I can cut back to that scene if you wish, or let you post your travel there - I presume at this stage the Cap'n and Penny are going, Scraps will certainly offer as he knows the terrain around Sanctuary probably better than anyone except Fleur, the little rapscallion! Let me know when you want a cut or post.
Fox Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I think a cut's reasonable, as long as KD doesn't have anything he wants to get in there - GK basically set up for taking them back, and Fleur's question at the end of the last post just cements it.
Supercape Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Ill wait for E's word on this - as its her world! :)
Supercape Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Electra, you can feel the prion attack much more concentrated now. Could you throw me a DC 20 Fort check or you become Sickened: A sickened character has a –2 penalty on attack rolls and checks. (For reference!) If you fail the check, or choose to fail it, its a hero point!
Electra Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I'll take the HP, it seems like I might need it later. Plus, DRAMA!
Supercape Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Could I have Notice Rolls DC 20 from you lot to see a sensor / warning device? not actually a trap, just an alarm system. Its not in the best of nick, so a DC 10 DIsarm Devices will neutralise it.
Electra Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Fleur sees it with skill mastery, but cannot disable it.
Supercape Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Waiting on Fox! Captain can disarm it (if you trust him...DUM DUM DAAAH!)
Fox Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Notice Check, DC20 (1d20 + 15=19) Jeeze, and with his bonus, too. Shameful! GK has no Disable Device.
Supercape Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Ok ill let you guys post noticing it (your have narrative control describing it). Some kind of camera / IR device etc. Your call what to do about it, of course!
KnightDisciple Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 So, if the others don't come up with an idea...If "turned to dusty scrap" counts for "disabled", couldn't Gabriel (or one of the others) just annihilate it? Like, shoot, I could one-two punch it with Drain Toughness and then Blast, and it's tiny metal flakes. But I'm not sure if that's in the spirit of what you're going for here.
Supercape Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Shoot it, and it will probably go off! Its not a trap, just an alarm. My understanding of these things is that if they go "poof" somebody knows about it! I'm open to any suggestion here of course. Teleportation, or Knowledge or Craft rolls. Or just let Cap'n do it...
Fox Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Nothing much here...GK or Fleur could certainly block the camera off, but that might set it off just as much as blowing it up. I'm okay with the Captain messing with it unless E or KD have a better idea.
KnightDisciple Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm okay with trusting the Captain to do it, and I'll wait for both Fox and Electra to respond to the presence of the camera, so I'm not hogging the spotlight too much.
Supercape Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Let me know how you want to proceed, with stealth rolls if you are going for the silent approach!
Electra Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I'll use Stesha's skill mastery and see how far that takes me for stealth. 16!
Fox Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Yeah, GK'll at least try to be vaguely sneaky. Stealth Roll (1d20 + 0=17) Stealthy like a rock!
KnightDisciple Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Well. Gabriel's not likely to be stealthy. So...what about using a Hero Point to stunt Fascinate or something similar, and doing the exact opposite of stealth, but only for Gabriel? Basically, he strides down the hall being all "fire and brimstone", and draws all the attention to himself while the others sneak around a bit?
Supercape Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 TO be honest, I'm not entirely sure that needs a hero point, KD. There are no rules for "distraction" but I would wing that as giving a CHA bonus to others stealth (heck, CHA bonus should be worth somthing on its own, right?) and given Gabriels CHA that would effectively divert everyones attention on to him. So post away.
KnightDisciple Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 In that case: Diplomancer Powers, Activate! FORM OF: +20 CHARISMA BONUS! POWER OF: LOOK AT GABRIEL DUDES! IGNORE EVERYONE ELSE AND LOOK AT HIM! Post up shortly! ;)
KnightDisciple Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 So...I was gonna actually toss out a combo attack of Intimidate followed by Emotion Control: Fear, spending a couple HP on the mix. But...didn't know if you wanted to get some init rolls going. Either way, I suppose we should gird ourselves for an epic battle.
