Warmonger Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1544047/ Wow another 20 plus the bonus from KEvin's boost. My Dex check is 30.
Warmonger Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 We're too far to see Kevin now right? Also did we reach the guy yet? Basically I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post something because I'm not sure if a round passed or not.
Heridfel Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 You are probably too far away, and Nightrival isn't (being on top of people means he still has line-of-sight), but he's also not looking back at all. It is a new round, and you and Nightrival are both getting to the open mouth of the alleyway at the same time. I'll drop out of initiative on your end while Kevin/Hub remains in it, since it looks like he'll be fighting someone right now.
Shadowboxer Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Should I go ahead and post or wait until Kevin does his thing? He's currently in a different fight so I'm not sure about initiative order.
Heridfel Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 You don't have to worry about Kevin for right now. I was just waiting for a response from Sen on your side. I expected he'd do what he did, but I didn't want to assume. And there's the update. I mistyped Kevin's Toughness save modifier: it should have been +7, not +10, so he picks up a bruise this round. He also used extra effort to surge for an extra standard action. He's fatigued, but the Rurm is exhausted.
Warmonger Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Ah the downfalls of predictability. Though I imagine it makes writing the scenerios easier. Also I tried an intimidate but only rolled a 3.
Shadowboxer Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 If Nightrival is going the right way he'll surely bump into the two characters, but if not then have him wandering around like a lost tourist. :)
Heridfel Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Nightrival can hear Sen just fine when he speaks. It's the other man whose speech seems to be cloaked. And that's the way rolls always seem to go. Just be glad that now's when you're failing, rather than when you're being squeezed by a lion-man. :P
Shadowboxer Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I've edited my last post so Nightrival hears Sen instead of the pickpocket. Hold on, Kevin! We're comin'! :D
Heridfel Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Both Nightrival and Sen need to make a Notice check. Sen also needs to make a Will save and a Wisdom check. The Wisdom check is optional, but it won't hurt. Kevin's at two bruises now, even with the Rurm exhausted.
Warmonger Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1567215/ 17 for Notice Check http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1567218/ 20 on Will Save http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1567226/ urgh 9 on Wisdom check.
Heridfel Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 The Notice checks were good enough, as well as the Will save, but the Wisdom check isn't enough to pass on the information I have as a hint. Nightrival can make the same check now if he'd like.
Shadowboxer Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I rolled a 7 on the Will save and an 18 on the Wisdom save.
Warmonger Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Ok made my move. So wait is whatever he tried to do beyond my mystic sense?
Heridfel Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Different descriptor on his powers. You're not getting any unusual mojo from him with your Mystic Awareness. On Kevin's front, he won the grapple, failed to do damage, and then surged for an extra chance to knock the Rurm out. He didn't succeed at that, so he spent a hero point to remain fatigued (and not exhausted).
Shadowboxer Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Should NR come to you guys or vice-versa? I don't want to lose Slathliss. :)
Warmonger Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Nah I'm cool. I've just been busy as hell with finals and stuff.
Heridfel Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 I'm a little confused there, Shadowboxer. He's heading back the way he came along with you, not running off somewhere. He seemed resigned that you were his best choice, but was still going to try to help.
Shadowboxer Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I'm a little confused there, Shadowboxer. He's heading back the way he came along with you, not running off somewhere. He seemed resigned that you were his best choice, but was still going to try to help. I'm so sorry! I completely misread your post. I will edit accordingly, or delete it and rewrite the whole thing. Man, that's embarrassing.
Shadowboxer Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 NR is trying to communicate the following with the Bluff check: "I do know what Eldrich looks like, but I didn't tell Slathliss everything because I don't entirely trust him." I rolled a sweet, sweet natural twenty on that one. NR doesn't entirely trust Slathliss, since he's a criminal. He was worried that by revealing too much information, like letting a stranger know that the Master Mage is missing, could be disastrous if word got out. You guys have better social skills than me, so hopefully you can sort this mess out. :)
Heridfel Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 I realized as I was writing that last post that Kevin is currently in another dimension. Feel free to point that out to him IC. :)
Heridfel Posted May 15, 2008 Author Posted May 15, 2008 Hmm. Warmonger hasn't been on the site since Saturday. If I don't see something from him by tomorrow evening, I'll continue along with him silent and following us.
