trollthumper Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 All right, then. Two of the vampires are Doc's Vampire Psion build, whereas the other two are my Vampire Necromancer build, all at PL10. We'll say that silver breaks Vittorio's Impervious Toughness, and he is Injured and Dazed. So, Initiative! The Vampire Necromancers both go on 7. The Vampire Warlocks go on 22 and 10. Nick goes on 26.
trollthumper Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Here we go, then: Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HP Etain: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x1, Dazed (Etain's Action), 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick lets this turn pass, and just talks. The first vampire warlock doesn't want to listen. She unleashes a Stun attack on Nick, and he beats her DC20 Will save. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HP Etain: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x1, Dazed (Etain's Action), 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, 0 HP Rene is up next.
Supercape Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Rene will do a standard action: standard blast... 1d20+10=18 at Vittoria, which may well miss, but eh, homing next round eh? Just for the fun of it, he will try an intimidate on Vittorio too as a move action at a mighty -3 bonus! 1d20-3=17 well, strike me down, that may even hit home...
Aoiroo Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Btw, rolling concentration for Etain to maintain the concert illusion this round, got 26 which should hold.
trollthumper Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Vittorio does fall for that. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HP Etain: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x1, Dazed (Etain's Action), Shaken, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, 0 HP Vampire Warlock 2 attempts to Blast Rene. That ain't happening. Changeling is up next.
Aoiroo Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Right, Etain switches things up, but switching the labels on the enemies. Basically the lights go out, and now to every other Enemy Nick, Rene and herself look like their allies and en vice versa. Anyway, interaction with any subject allows them a DC 20 will save to break the illusion, and that's her turn.
trollthumper Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 Vittorio shakes off his Dazed, and attempts to Strike at Vampire Warlock 1 with a -2/+2 Power Attack. That hits, and Vampire Warlock 1 needs to make a DC25 Toughness save. Which he does. And now Vittorio gets to make a DC20 Will save, and he shakes off the Illusion. He takes a Free Action to cry out that the illusion is a fake, and everyone gets to make saves. The other Vampire Necromancer doesn't buy it, while Vampire Warlock 1 does see through it. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, Tricked, 0 HP Etain: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x1, Dazed (Etain's Action), Shaken, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, Tricked, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer attempts to Paralyze Vittorio with a -2/+2 Power Attack. Which misses. Top of the round, and Nick's turn. He unleashes Poltergeist's Rage, targeting all the vampires. He rolls a 40 on the Opposed Grapple, which means the vampires needs to make a DC22 Reflex save to halve it down to a DC28 for the Opposed Grapple. Vittorio succeeds while the other Necromancer does not, but while Vittorio has Potence active, neither he nor the other Necromancer switched to the Enhanced Super-Strength part, which means their Grapple bonus is in the pits. Vittorio is Bound, while the girl can't be anything but Bound. The Warlocks, meanwhile, don't have TK active, so they're stuck with +6 Grapple checks. While the first one manages to beat the Reflex save, they're both Bound. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, Tricked, Bound, 0 HP Etain: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x1, Shaken, Bound, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, Tricked, Bound, 0 HP Vampire Warlock 1 switches her AP to TK, and attempts to break free as a Move Action. She rolls a 31 versus Nick's 43, and is still Bound - but as her TK is Perception and she's not Tricked, she can try to hit Etain. DC25 TOU save for Etain. Rene is up next.
Aoiroo Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Changeling is bruised and dazed I think. Also, time to make a concentration roll to maintain her illusions, 16, so they break down as well. The impromtu concert has stopped playing as well, disappearing in a flash of light.
Supercape Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Rene will try a feint "its not behind you" at -5 as move action on Vittorio. 1d20+1=11...well, it was a bad idea! So, onto the main course...a Blast of fire...from behind him! hey, it might just flat-foot him! Ahem, anyway...not shifting this one at all. And, in addition, the last one has a chance of homing in (I am presuming it didn't hit), so attack rolls are: 1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=20 If either hit (I presume the new attack does) its a DC 27 Toughness save.
trollthumper Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Vittorio doesn't buy it, and the attack hits. He takes a Bruise and is Dazed. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, Dazed (Vampire Warlock 1's Action), 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Dazed (Rene's Action), Bound, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Vampire Warlock 2 attempts to break Nick's Grapple as a Move Action using TK. 30 versus 29, so she's freed. She then unleashes the TK on Rene, and misses. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, Dazed (Vampire Warlock 1's Action), 1 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Dazed (Rene's Action), Bound, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP If Etain wants to spend an HP to shake off her Dazed, she's up next.
Aoiroo Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Sure, she uses the HP to drop the daze, hits the unbound vampire with her mind spike, shifted by 2, 27, so that's DC 24 on will for will drain, then DC 29 will for damage.
trollthumper Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Vampire Warlock 2 beats the Will drain, and gets Dazed and Staggered. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, Dazed (Etain's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Dazed (Rene's Action), Bound, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Unharmed, Bound, 0 HP Vittorio is still Dazed, so the Necromancer goes next. She activates Move Object from the Necromancy Array and attempts to break free as a Move Action. 27 vs. 42, so no. She then attempts to hit Nick with a -4/+4 Power Attack using Move Object. But she misses. Nick is up next, and he decides to Throw the various vampires into the ceiling. He rolls a 32, the Necromancer rolls 23, Vampire Warlock 1 rolls 31 while Vampire Warlock 2 rolls 35, and Vittorio rolls 18. That means all but Vampire Warlock 2 hit the roof. That's a DC27 TOU for hitting the roof, and... well, it's a Goth club with remarkably little clearance, so I'd say that's 10 feet up for a DC16 TOU save follow-up when they fall back to earth. Not impressive, but it's something. Vittorio is Dazed and Staggered, and beats the follow-up by way of Impervious. Vampire Warlock 1 takes a Bruise, and beats the follow-up by way of Impervious. Vampire Necromancer takes a Bruise, and well you know. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Bruised x1, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, (Etain's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Dazed (Nick's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Bruised x1, 0 HP Rene is up next.
Supercape Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Move Action: Feint at -5 on Vittorio 1d20+1=19 Standard Action: Ill throw in an extra effort (fatiguing myself) Blast on Vittorio. Shifted -2 Attack, +2 Damage... 1d20+8=15 I doubt that hits unless I flat foot him, but at least it may home in next round. Its a DC 29 Toughness save.
trollthumper Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Vittorio sees through the Bluff, but there's a chance it might hit next round. As Vampire Warlock 2 is still Dazed, Etain is up next.
Aoiroo Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Etain does her Paralyze attack, it's general area so DC 24 Reflex, and if that's not made DC 24 will save.
trollthumper Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Roo, given that the Cylinder is general area, quite wide, has no Selective Attack, and the heroes and vampires are mixing it up in a confined area, do you still want to go forward with it?
Aoiroo Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Ohh geez, it's suppose to have Selective Attack. Fine, she'll throw up another illusion that the room has no doors.
trollthumper Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Works for me. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Bruised x1, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Unharmed, Staggered, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Dazed (Nick's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio is still Dazed, so the Vampire Necromancer attempts a -2/+2 Power Attack and aims for Nick. She misses. Wildly. Top of the round. Nick uses Ignis Fatuus on Vampire Warlock 2. It hits hard, and the Warlock must make a DC27 Will save. She is Bruised and Dazed. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Injured x1, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Injured x1, Dazed (Nick's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x2, Staggered, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Injured x1, 0 HP Vampire Warlock 1 attempts to use Stun on Etain. That's a DC25 Will save for her. Rene is up next.
Aoiroo Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 It has a rank 15 perception range stun? Also, here's the roll, 23
trollthumper Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Gah. My bad; was mixing up saves. It's DC20, which means Etain passes.
Supercape Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Well we have a homing attack from last round first, at +8 attack, +14DC. 1d20+8=19 Probably a miss? Move Action: A bluff / feint at -5 on Vittorio 1d20+1=19 - hey, not bad! Inspiration! Just in case those vampires are vulnerable to wooden stakes, lets try to finish of Vittorio! With variable descriptor 2, autofire and Indirect 3, lets paint a flurry of wooden stakes flying at the vampire! (with descriptor: wood!) 1d20+10=19 I don't know if that hits? may do if bluff works. If it does, DC 27 Toughness save.
trollthumper Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Vittorio's Defense is +10, so the Homing attack will miss. Vittorio falls for the Bluff, however, leaving his Defense at DC13, meaning the attack has a... DC30 Toughness save. And he takes another Injured, and has his Dazed refresh. Nick Cimitiere: 26, Unharmed, 4 HP Vampire Warlock 1: 22, Injured x1, 0 HP Rene: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Vampire Warlock 2: 10, Injured x1, Dazed (Nick's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Etain: 9, Bruised x1, 0 HP Vittorio: 7, Injured x3, Dazed (Rene's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Vampire Necromancer: 7, Injured x1, 0 HP Vampire Warlock 2 is still Dazed, so Etain is up next.
Aoiroo Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Etain attacks Vittorio, 28, if he goes down, I'll roll takedown attack to go for the Vampire Necromancer.
