trollthumper Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Temperance, Wave-Eye, and Silver Spider deal with out-of-control aspects of the Leviathan.
trollthumper Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 The Leviathan Aspect shall be played by Supercape's Sharktopus at PL10 - that means ATT +8, DEF +7, TOU +13, FORT +15, REF +9, WILL +12 and DMG capped at +12. Leviathan goes on 13. Temperance goes on 25.
Ari Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Initiative roll: 15+3=18! Silver Spider has the higher bonus, so she goes before him.
trollthumper Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Here is our order: Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 3 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Everyone gets an HP, as there are civilians at risk. Temperance strikes first with her Autofire-based Blast. It hits, at least, necessitating a DC23 Toughness save. It shakes the blow right off. Silver Spider is up next.
trollthumper Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 The creature does seem to have its eyes clustered tight together. It's possible it could be blinded with a shot of webbing.
Ari Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Diving into the water, moving up to the aspect of Leviathan, Surging for an extra Move action and using a HP to cancel the Fatigue(1HP). Using the Damage power of the Conch. Attack roll: 22! DC27 TOU save for the Aspect.
trollthumper Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 The Leviathan is Dazed and Staggered. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 3 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Unharmed, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Staggered, 0 HP It has no action, so it's Temperance's turn. She decides to keep it suspended for now and hope that works, using Snare. Or not. Hero Point! That's better. That's a DC23 Reflex save for the Leviathan... and it's Bound. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 2 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 3 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Unharmed, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Bound, Staggered, 0 HP Silver Spider is up next.
Azuth65 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Well, Silver's been fairly useless thus far but, since the Levi is bound but still active, let's blind him just to be safe. 1d20+8=22, well he gets a DC 18 reflex save to avoid getting an ocular cavity full of synthetic webbing.
trollthumper Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 It manages to just twist its head out of the way of the webbing. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 2 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 3 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Unharmed, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Bound, Staggered, 0 HP Wave-Eye is up next.
Ari Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Unarmed Power Attack(+-2) against the Aspect of Leviathan: 21. DC25 TOU save for it.
trollthumper Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 That's a Bruise, and a refreshed Daze. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 2 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 3 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Bruised x1, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Bound, Staggered, 0 HP But the Leviathan shakes off that Daze, and everyone takes a Hero Point! The Leviathan takes a Standard Action to try and break its Snare. That's a DC27 for a Rank 8 Snare, and is heavily damaged, allowing for holes. It can't move, but it can theoretically snake a tentacle out next round. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 4 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Bruised x1, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Bound, Staggered, 0 HP Temperance decides to unleash a hail of... hail on the Leviathan. It hits, as the Leviathan is still Bound, with a +3 autofire bonus for DC26. It makes it, however. Silver Spider is up next.
Azuth65 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Well, since Levi's still bound a 1d20+8=14 should hit, adding some extra toughness to the iceblock by webbing up the cracks.
trollthumper Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 Oddly, although snared, he still gets a Reflex save. Which he fails, meaning the Snare gets reinforced. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 4 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Bruised x1, Dazed (Wave-Eye's Action), Bound, Staggered, 0 HP Wave-Eye is up next.
Ari Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Using the Move Object power of the Conch to try for a grapple. Attack roll: 21. Grapple roll: 29. Huh.
trollthumper Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Sorry for the delay. All right, the attack will hit, as Leviathan is still Bound. And now it is doubly Bound. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 4 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Bruised x1, Bound x2, Staggered, 0 HP The Leviathan attempts to break the Opposed Grapple as a Move Action. It gets a 35 versus Wave-Eye's 40, so that fails. So it attempts to strike at the ice as a Standard Action. Assuming a DC27 Toughness save... that thing is gone. But Leviathan is still grappled. Temperance: 25, Unharmed, 3 HP Silver Spider: 18, Unharmed, 4 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Leviathan Aspect: 13, Bruised x1, Bound, Staggered, 0 HP So Temperance Power Attacks on her Blast w/ Autofire to hit Leviathan for -4/+4. The Leviathan has an effective Defense of 5, thanks to Wave-Eye, so that hits for +3. DC30 for the Leviathan... and he makes a 20. As he's already Staggered, he sinks back into flotsam and jetsam. We're out of rounds.
trollthumper Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 So Temperance is stunting this off of her Immunity... Flight 3 (50 MPH, Flaws: Platform) [3 PP] And spending an HP to negate Fatigue.
Ari Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I was going to stunt Detect Magic, but realized that Magic Awareness was what I was thinking of. So, stunted off of Wave-Eye's existing Super-Senses suite, Super-Senses 5(Magic Awareness(Visual), Analytical(Visual senses), Counters Concealment)[5PP] EDIT: Visual's already Accurate. Notice roll with it to see if he can see anything with it around the docks: 9. Rerolling(0HP left): 16. Well then.
trollthumper Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Oh, there is most definitely one warehouse that seems to be faintly glowing. Inside of it are four humanoid figures and a gigantic tank of water.
trollthumper Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 And we're in combat! We'll be using AA's Radioactive Mermaid for this one, four of them at PL7 - which means ATT +5 (+7 Eldritch Energies/+10 Melee), DEF +10, TOU +4, FORT/REF/WILL +4, and DAM of +7 Energies/+4 Melee. The Deep Ones go on 22, 17, 14, and 11. Temperance goes on 17.
Azuth65 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 1d20+9=10 Hopefully, the Castle will be kind to me after that...
trollthumper Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 Here we go, then: Deep One 1: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Wave-Eye: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Temperance: 17, Unharmed, 2 HP Deep One 2: 17, Unharmed, 0 HP Deep One 3: 14, Unharmed, 0 HP Deep One 4: 11, Unharmed, 0 HP Silver Spider: 10, Unharmed, 0 HP The first Deep One takes a full-round action to manipulate the water. In five rounds, another aspect of the Leviathan shall arrive... Wave-Eye is up first.
