Aoiroo
Etain strikes, 29, I'm guessing that hits. DC 22 Will save against Will Drain, and DC 27 will save against damage. Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+9=13, 1d20+9=18 So thats Will drained by 9, and Damage save drops to 9, which is a fail by 18. Bruised, Staggered, Dazed. Post away! Nocturne is up! Link to comment
PurpleProse
Do I see the camera anywhere nearby? Link to comment
Supercape
Good question! It was last in the hands of Phil, although the crowd is now all over the place - some have been injured in the stampede. Normally this would take a full round to scan the crowd to find him, but hey ho! look who has Quickness x100 power. Notice roll! DC 15 to spot him as a free action, DC 10 to spot him in a move action, DC 5 to spot him in a standard action. Add 5 to that if you want to see if he is carrying the camera too. Link to comment
PurpleProse
I'll take it as a Move Action, and checking to see if he's got the camera. Notice 1d20+12=16 DC passed. Link to comment
Supercape
He is indeed holding the camera. He is a bit battered from the jostling, but otherwise ok (bar being scared witless). Link to comment
PurpleProse
Using a Free Action to switch to Grand Grasp. Targeting him and picking him up out of the crowd. Attack Roll 1d20+5=22 I think I grabbed him. In the words of Scorpion, 'GET OVER HERE!' Link to comment
Supercape
He's only a PL1 Geek! Yes, that grabs him. Link to comment
Supercape
And Smoking Jacket Man is up! MOrph dropping for the grand reveal! GM Fiat to shake of daze, and the extra effort to surge and teleport away. Etain 3 HP - Unharmed Link to comment
Aoiroo
Taking ten on a dipolmacy roll against Phil to ask him to hand over his camera, so, assuming he's straight, that's auto 30. Link to comment
Supercape
Post away. No diplomacy roll needed at this juncture. Link to comment
Aoiroo
PP, what can Etain's magical senses tell her about Nocturne (she has about as accurate magical senses as you can get). Link to comment
PurpleProse
PP, what can Etain's magical senses tell her about Nocturne (she has about as accurate magical senses as you can get). Well, she's a very powerful sorceress (Magic 14) that all but radiates energy. There's a distinctively 'evil' tint to her magic as well, though the source of said evil seems to be emanating from the book she's carrying. Link to comment
PurpleProse
Hey SC, I'd like to make a Knowledge: Arcane Lore check to figure out a good way of disposing of this thing without hurting the spirits trapped inside. Link to comment
Supercape
You may indeed. However, it is not easy! DC 30 check! Of course, you may research this (taking 20 on roll) if you have access to a library and an hour to pore over arcane tomes. Such a library, may, for instance, be found in Parkhurst. Hey, didn't you say you wanted to ingratiate yourself with Parkhurst. Its almost as if that was designed! (More seriously, not railroading you - up to you what you do! ) Link to comment
Aoiroo
She'd have to be shown Parkhurst, Etain wouldn't take her there, she doesn't trust her yet. Link to comment
Supercape
Arise! Arise, oh thread! You guys want me to bump along the plot or social / research / Parkhurst stuff? Link to comment
Aoiroo
Right, on my phone, anyway if Etain holds the book can Sombra-la talk to her? Link to comment
PurpleProse
Probably. But the question is, would Etain know about the book talking to Danni? Only Danni can hear her right now. Link to comment
Aoiroo
Well if the grimoir is responsible she's want to look at the book regardless. She can see the magic, if was dangerous to touch she's know. Link to comment
PurpleProse
Rolling Arcane Lore (for Sombra-La) to figure out Changeling's magic. Arcane Lore 1d20+16=32 Link to comment
Aoiroo
Rolling Arcane Lore DC 30 +5 Situation Bonus (talked with PP over it in the chat, if that's okay), 27, boo, gonna spend a HP for a reroll, 21, but cause that's a 6, add ten to that for the reroll so 31 Link to comment

PurpleProse
Basically, the grimoire is a very elaborate, very elegant soul jar. It's pretty strong, considering the age it is, but it's recently been upset. Whoever's currently inside it can't break free right now... and given the evil readings it's giving off, that's probably good. Link to comment
