Raveled Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 1d20+10=24 Bruisex4. Will she get to act this round, or will Warp have revenge?
Curious Key Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I did not accidentally post this in the IC thread before. Don't be silly, that would have been dumb of me. Move: Teleport with turnabout. Standard: Punches all day. Let's see how it turns out . . . Attack Roll: 1d20+13=26 And that just barely breaks Robo!Jay's defense! But no crit this time, so it's a DC 22 Toughness.
Raveled Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Why that's such a low DC, she shouldn't have any trouble making it! 1d20+9=10 I say there's little chance of Jay coming back from that. Shall we have her explode?
Blue Rose Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 An explosion could put Kat in the hospital, too. It'll be a regular party! :P
Curious Key Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Yeah, let's have her go the way of plasma fire! Warp's already out of range, though. Turnabout is lovely.
Tiffany Korta Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Did Blodeuwedd upset her that much? Because some of us are still in the blast zone! But I've still go a HP left so if everyone cool with it let's do it!
Ari Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I'm alright with this happening, if none of the people who can be even more horrible burned than Heraldo are!
Avenger Assembled Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 I think we had this as just a DC 15 Reflex save + DC 20 Tou save, as per a Damage 5 (Extra: Area [burst]) attack with the plasma descriptor. Anything that'll put out a plasma fire will keep the robot from melting down to scrap.
Ari Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 DC15 Reflex save: 15. DC17 Toughness save: 20. So, no damage from the plasma fire. Burning a HP(1HP left) to remove the Fatigued condition. EDIT: Moving over to Kit and Stunting Healing 10 off of Emotion Control, with the Flaw: Tiring. Using it to grant Kit an immediate recovery roll.
Blue Rose Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Take 1 for 12. No longer dying. Still bruised.
Tiffany Korta Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Blodeuwedd's Reflex Save 1d20+8=20, with Evasion 2 she's fine.
Thevshi Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Ari (and everyone else), the Freedom League is sending Velocity to liason with the group, fill them in on what is known right now and point them in the direction of where to go to get back into the fight (one of the nearby control boxes). So, if your ready, I will make an IC post :)
Blue Rose Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Sam can mope after the brief. Clearly the better time for it. I'm ready.
Thevshi Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Velocity’s Gather Info checks (via Well Informed) Warp: 16 El Heraldo: 30 Kit: 24
Curious Key Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 So what do you guys think of fading to black right here? If we keep going at this rate this thread is going to trudge onward until everyone else has went ahead, finished the event and tied up all the loose ends.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Just wanted to chime in that I think Freely_Seek's idea is an excellent one. I've been a bit disenchanted by event threads dragging on forever in the past, so I'm going to be bringing an end to this one in about a weekish either way.
Blue Rose Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 This would be a good time to fade to black, or after the first robot/transmitter. A second seems rather redundant, though.
Curious Key Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 So, we've got just one person jumping in to say their piece? Come on, let's hear it. What do you guys think?
Ari Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Blargh, sorry Freely. I, like Blue Rose, would like us to tackle at least one transmitter, but as this IS pretty ancillary to the main event, if you think it better suited to the story for us to just end here I'm fine with it. What do you folks think, one transmitter, two, zero? Not a lot of places the story can here go now, admittedly.
Curious Key Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I would be fine with it as long as it ended on a good scene. Maybe taking out a transmitter. Maybe just standing in a line with the sun at their backs with business faces on before stomping in to kick ass and take names. The real question is, can we grab a transmitter and end this thread in six days? Because I would much rather close it promising offscreen action than have it close in the middle like a show whose funding got cut at the last minute.
Ari Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Totally agreed. Or we could do what Thevshi suggested, and we post up a joint Vignette about our takedown of at least the first transmitter. I am in favor of that, but it probably would be a tad delicate.
Curious Key Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'm going to repeat what I said in chat, and say that vignettes are generally interesting because the characters are in the starring role, and allowed to come into their own in ways that aren't generally possible in a thread. It really seems like a waste of a chance to tell a story about our characters in particular.
