Russoboo Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Here's that save for me: Tou vs Explosion DC25 (1d20+12=27) Power Stunt: Transform 10 (Inanimate to diamond; Flaws: Range [Touch]; PFs: Progression 10 [2.5 million lbs]) This should be sufficiently to completely transform the building into diamond.
Thevshi Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Tsunami's action is going to be using Water Control to move 125 cubic feet of water out of the sprinkler system and up into the air to drop it onto the fire in the admin building. According to the UP, that much water weighs just under 4 tons. Thus it takes about a STR 45 (rounded up) to move the water 5 feet. Because her total effective STR with Water Control is 60, she has 15 extra STR for moving that much water, which allows her to move it a total of 50 feet.
Scuffles Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Toughness save for Glow: 28. Pfft, Dynamite!
Gizmo Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Toughness Save vs. DC 30. (1d20+12=30) AH FIRE AH oh I guess that's fine then.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 TV: Yes, though the headmaster's office is still, bizarrely, aflame.
Quinn Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Sense Motive Check! Let's see what can be heard with the sharp senses of a Crow! (1d20+10=14) Yikes. Burning an HP to reroll that one - 2 left. Sense Motive Check! HP Reroll! (1d20+10=28) Much better.
Russoboo Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Gather Information (1d20+9=22) Here we go, a Gather Information check to figure out what's happening on campus.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 As far as Crow can tell, Mr. Archer's voice is legit. He's worried, but controlling himself for the kids. Crow also knows that this _is_ a procedure on the Claremont campus in the event of an extreme emergency, albeit there are supposed to be adult heroes around helping out. Of course, from what he's hearing from outside the campus, there's a reason why no help is coming... Darren's job is a little tougher because his usual social media networks aren't working. While he does get some graphic stories of students he recognizes from Claremont; Blue Jay firing a bombardment of arrows into a crowded group nearby, then being battled by her fellow students, he does get some information from a few people on campus who are posting online when they're not supposed to: they're down in the emergency shelters! It sucks! And some of them are scared, since there are rumors going around of evil shapeshifters from the Terminus on campus.
Quinn Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Burn an HP, stunt: ESP 10 [Auditory Sense, 1 mile radius; Feats: Subtle, Rapid 6; Extras: Simultaneous (+1); Flaws: Medium (Alien Metal), Distracting] [26/26 PP] Time table says it'll take 2.5 minutes for Crow to finish scanning, but for the purposes of this power (not to mention our sanity), he's restricting his viewing to the Claremont Campus. We don't know the rough size of it, so...eyeball it? Fluff-wise, he is listening to the resonance; and due to the sympathetic rune, whatever metals are connected to this one, either in the same casting or forging or however the baddos who made this did them, will hopefully resonate as well; letting his senses pick up ambient noises around them, and perhaps lead him to them. It's a DC 20 to notice that resonance, according to power mechanics, and discovering that they're being spied upon! So let's see who we catch!
Avenger Assembled Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Just to verify, Quinn, ESP 10 is enough to search from the Earth to the Moon. Did you want that, or did you want the 1 mile version?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 There are no other metals of that type on campus; there are no other robots impersonating superheroes around Claremont. Probably.
Quinn Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Okay, expanding the ESP to around a 5-mile radius, and letting it reach both skies above and earth below South Freedom. Where are you, you metallic jerks!? :argh:
Avenger Assembled Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Give me a DC 25 Notice check, Quinn.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Expanding your search doesn't do anything - there are no traces of the metal elsewhere in South Freedom. _But_, upping your search like this does give you a chance to notice something. There are traces of a very similar substance, not like the skull but like some of the ash and chemical deposits on it, quite close by and underground beneath the various student dorms and classroom buildings - right where the emergency shelters are.
