Veiled Malice Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Yeah, that ain't good. However, since Nanowire has Radar, he could see her whether she's got her invis up or not. Would it be possible to take back his action, since he'd definitely want to avoid perforating her?
Heridfel Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Yeah, I'll let you take that back. I like the drama that might result if Ren perforated Lynn, but I am not the one who decides that. I don't think you would have done that even without knowing that she wouldn't save against it.
Heritage Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hey VM, do you want to adjust your action or fill Grim full of needles? I think we're waiting on you here EDIT: Whoops, my bad, I forgot that edits don't show up as updates to the thread. So who's actually up next?
Heridfel Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Foreshadow has a post, followed by Bloodseeker. Thank goodness that minions fall unconscious on a failed save. Even if Takedown Attack didn't work, it could have worked, and that's what's important. Bloodseeker is now up. Also, I haven't seen Jack of Tales for over a week, so I'm going to continue that half of the thread by assuming that Poltergeist flees to report on the superhuman that she just fought against.
Veiled Malice Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Hey VM, do you want to adjust your action or fill Grim full of needles? I think we're waiting on you here Ha! I do know what I'm doing! Kinda! ;)
Avalon Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Herid, how far are the heroes from one another? I'm planning on having Stygwyr use one of his AoE attacks and I wand to know what is the maximum number of opponents he can affect.
Heridfel Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 Either of your area attacks would be able to hit every hero. The Drain, which has a cone shape, would also necessarily hit all of your lackeys as well. The same +2 to Reflex saves against area attacks still applies, because you are all still fighting in the alleyway.
Heritage Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Who's turn are we waiting on here? If it's me, please forgive me
Avalon Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Toughness save for the 'drone that Grim hit: 1d20+8=19 It's a DC 20 ref save to halve the effect of the Constitution drain cone effect and a DC 20 fort save vs the drain itself.
Heridfel Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Hey Avalon, I'm trying to figure out which power lets Bloodseeker move into the pavement. I see Speed 2, so I know he can go that fast, but I don't see the other part. I'll also allow that command as a free action; it's simple enough that I don't think it should count as a move action.
Avalon Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 It was the permeate 2 with move-by attack remember? We discussed it via PM.
Heridfel Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Thanks. I remember now, but I had forgotten that we had discussed that. I'll be posting the saves for Foreshadow and Rant shortly.
Veiled Malice Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Should I just go now? I kinda forgot if Nano goes before or after Grim.
Heridfel Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 It's Grimalkin, Rant, and then you. The saves, as promised - Foreshadow easily dodges the cone of poisonous filth with a 26. He has Evasion 2, so he need not make a Fortitude save. Rant has an even easier time making the Reflex save, thanks to his Defensive Roll (even though he could only use 5 of the 7), with a 34, and perseveres with a total of 21 for the Fortitude save.
Heritage Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Toughness save for the 'drone that Grim hit: 1d20+8=19 It's a DC 20 ref save to halve the effect of the Constitution drain cone effect and a DC 20 fort save vs the drain itself. Got a 25 on the Reflex save and a 25 on the Fortitude, so what exactly happens to her so I can include it in my post?
Heridfel Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 Well, imagine you're in a cloud of tear gas that's trying to burn away your organs from the inside out. You managed to turn away from the worst of the blast, and you are also hardy enough that the damage it did was minor enough for you to shake it off as the cloud dissipated.
Heritage Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 This may be a dumb question, but should I have Grim reply to Nano yet, or are we still initiative order?
Heridfel Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 MBCE, post here if you're continuing with the attack based on the result that it had. Heritage, to answer your question, go ahead and respond to Nanowire now. Talking is generally a free action that doesn't need to happen on your turn (subject to terms and conditions; i.e. remember that you're speaking in a 6-second round).
MBCE Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 MBCE, post here if you're continuing with the attack based on the result that it had. I think someone's had a busy weekend as I don't remember even being in this thread. :D
Heridfel Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Slip of the mind. Yeah... I meant to say Avalon, but I must have seen all the posts you were making and typed the wrong thing. Oh, how tempted I am to use my moderator powers to correct that now! :P
Avalon Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I'll be continuing the attack. I didn't know if it was my turn yet. Attack roll vs. Rant: (1d20+9=21)
Veiled Malice Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Can I attempt to grab him? I still have my action from last time since Nanowire didn't have anything to do.
Heridfel Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 You would need to have the attack readied in order to do anything about it. Remember that you can only ready a standard action - that means that you want to stay near the person you are trying to protect, or else ready a ranged attack. Rant's Toughness save doesn't get the benefit of his Defensive Roll, bringing him down to 11. This leaves Rant Disabled and Stunned.
Veiled Malice Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Then he'll ready a grab where he is. No sense wandering off and letting Grim get nailed.
Heridfel Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 We are out of initiative unless Bloodseeker chooses to follow Nanowire, Rant, and Grimalkin on foot. I presumed that Nanowire was making some noise as he fled, but I left it open as to whether he's going by air or land.
