Thevshi Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 So, Round Two: Hound: 15 Bloody Mess: 10 (2 HP) Firebug: 4 (bruised) Fire Creature 1: 4 Fire Creature 2: 4 Hound’s action.
Supercape Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Hound: Move Action: Pick up Fire Extinguisher Standard Action: Fire it! I don't know how you want to play that - he is trying to snuff out as much as he can, obviously. If you need an attack roll to hit a living flame: 1d20+10=16
Thevshi Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Okay SC, that is good enough to hit one of the flame creatures. Shall we call it an opposed roll against his summoning? So Hound can make a 1d20 +6 for the extinghisher.
Thevshi Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Hound gets a 17 . But Firebug manages to keep the flame creature active with a 20. Mess’ action.
Supercape Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Ok lets try to disarm the dude. 1d20+12=24 is, I guess, a hit. Opposed roll (according to house rules, adding his +4 super strength bonus) [NB] So thats a +12 opposed roll (against Firebugs Strength) 1d20+12=16 not so good.
Thevshi Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Man, Firebug is getting some lucky rolls. He got a 21 to resist being disarmed. Fire Creature 1 comes after Bloody Mess, just missing with a 21. Fire Creature 2’s attack is even further off with a 16. Firebug attacks Hound, but misses with a 13. So, Round Three: Hound: 15 Bloody Mess: 10 (2 HP) Firebug: 4 (bruised) Fire Creature 1: 4 Fire Creature 2: 4 Hound’s action.
Supercape Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 ok, so Hound, in the absence of any better ideas, will keep on squirtin'! Standard Action: Squirt! 1d20+10=21 for attack roll. 1d20+6=12 well, thats probably another rubbish opposed roll, but anyway! Move action: Taunt to intimidate (shake) Firebug for one round. To avoid dissapointment, Ill use skill mastery on that, take 10 for a 20 result.
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 The dice turn against Firebug, he only gets an 11 for his power check, that is one flame creature extinguished! But he makes his bluff check to resist the taunt with a 21.
Supercape Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Ok so the Mess is back up, and he is going to bam this guy good! 1d20+5=24 is a good feint, So lets shift to +3 DC, -3 Attack 1d20+9=15 oh crud! well, it may hit with the feint. If so, a DC 26 toughness save.
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 The faint fools Firebug, so that is good enough to hit! He takes another bruise from the hit.
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Firebug again tries to burn Hound, totally failing with an 11. The last fire creature tries to hit Bloody Mess again, and fails with a 10. So, Round Four: Hound: 15 Bloody Mess: 10 (2 HP) Firebug: 4 (2 bruised) Fire Creature 1: 4 Hound’s action.
Supercape Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Ok so Hound is going to use the fire extinguisher as an improvised weapon - not to hurt, but to trip him! Standard Action: 1d20+10=22 is, I guess, a hit. So its opposed roll (opposed by worst of his Strength or Dex/Acrobatics). 1d20+7=20 for opposed trip roll. Move Action: For the hell of it, Ill try a -5 intimidate! 1d20-3=1...no!
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Firebug gets a 18 on his roll vs the trip (I forgot it was supposed to be worst when I rolled it, so it should only be +1 (Str) not +3 (Dex). So he is tripped!
Supercape Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Right then! lets go for broke! Another Feint 1d20+5=16 And then, a fully shifted power attack. Its +7 nase, and then I guess +4 for the opponent being prone! 1d20+11=28 That should do! DC 28 Toughness
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Firebug blows this toughness save with a 15. That should make him Staggered and Dazed, but I will just put him into unconsciousness.
