Raveled
Insofar as War-Earth is Warcraft, this is Dwarves vs. Night Elves; technology and beards vs. nature and not-beards. Blue Jay (and co?) gets sucked into War-Earth and ends up in the middle of the conflict, on the Elf side. Maybe she's attacked by the Dwarves and rescued by the Elves, maybe she does the rescuing, maybe she just feels closer to the Elves than the Dwarves. So Jay helps the Elves a little bit, impressions of her youth as a guerilla fighter. Eventually she comes to believe that the Elves are in the wrong, that they're little pointy-eared fascists who simply want to wipe out the Dwarves for being different. She tries to meet with the Dwarves, only to be captured and taken to their stronghold. Not to put too much of the plot forward, but suffice to say there's dissent among the Dwarves for what's happening, and Tona manages to resolve the conflict with a minimum of death and tragedy. Then goes home. Outstanding issues; I see a figure called the Sagittarius among the elves whose role Jay can temporarily assume, for future character development. However, would this make the story too Mighty Whitey, even considering it's fantasy races? After all, we have an outsider to the culture dropping in, assimilating almost immediately, assuming a high position in this society, fixing the big, obvious problem, and then goes home to live the rest of her life. Tiffany Korta
Well one idea is to have two parties, one with the elves and one with dwarves, either as one thread or two separate ones. Maybe show that the two sides are just as bad as the other and have the PC disengage before the fighting starts. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Dammit, Tona, always falling into other dimensions and into the depths of space - get a strap for yourself or something! Link to comment

Yeah, but the Elves are so "superior" it should be less of an issue, right? Link to comment
Ari
Splitting parties is rarely a good idea for threads. It might end up with one side racing along while the other plods. One possible way would be: the teens show early on they're a potential asset(showing up in the middle of a small battle and trouncing both sides?), so both sides treat them well and try to gain their trust(have conflicting prophecies or visions?), granting them free reign to travel as they try to get them on their side. As for the 'Mighty Whitey' aspect, could just be sort of like how Supes and Jimmy Olsen were Nightwing and Flamebird on Kandor. An alternate secret ID of some kind. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
If you're trying to avoid mighty whiteyness I'd say it's the rate of assimilation and getting the status that might be the problem. The rest of which don't make. But really as long as the reason Tona and co are succeeding isn't by virtue of simply being a foreigner. And instead by virtue of their own merits and y'know crime fighting experience I don't think there's a real issue. It's not as if it's regular old joe smcho and his band of plumbers getting a +20 circumstance bonus from radical whiteness. Link to comment
Cubist
Let the elves assume Blue Jay is the Sagittarius on the basis of one seriously impressive feat of archery… and as time passes, let the elves gradually realize that no, they made a mistake, Blue Jay isn't the Sagittarius after all. Blue Jay's skill-set is such that she can presumably play the part for a while, yes? Possibility of a subplot about whether or not to play along with the misidentification—if someone is falsely granted the mantle of the Sagittarius, what consequences might there be? Could the elves suffer some sort of cultural shock, lack of confidence or something, if it's publicly known that the elves screwed up on ID'ing the Sagittarius? Hmm… "technology vs. nature". Jubatus could have an interesting time there; he looks like he ought to be all nature-friendly, but at the same time he's solidly committed to technology. Lots of opportunity for embarrassing misjudgments from both elf and dwarf. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
And then they decide to stick her upper body on a horse! Cue wacky shenanigans. Link to comment
Quinn
I have evil magic scientists working for the Warlord who can do that! (Not really). Link to comment
Cubist
Hmm… would the "Sagittarius" of War-Earth have a bodily form appropriate to Earth-Prime's astrology? A bit of a coincidence, if so. Or perhaps it could be a sign of some deeper connection between War-Earth and Prime? If we go there, perhaps the centaur transformation could be a visible sign that the newly-anointed Sagittarius is accepted by War-Earth's mystical Powers That Be? Link to comment
