KnightDisciple
Time to pull an Edge and spend HP like candy! First, I am operating with the idea that Gabe's array was pre-set to Flight, as he was basically waiting for the need to peel off from the platform (in a situation like this!). Move Action: Fly up away from the platform and barrier, though not quite as high as the Simurgh. Call it...oh, about 150 feet or so up. Free Action: Extra Effort, Surge. Full Round Action: Inspire! All the good guys get +5 to Attack Rolls, Saving Throws, and Checks for 1 round. You're welcome! Go Team Awesome! Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, then. Velocity: 63, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 2 HPComrade Frost: 19, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 0 HPGaian Knight: 18, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 3 HPGabriel: 16, Unharmed, 6 HPSimurgh: 15, Unharmed, 0 HPFleur de Joie: 13, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 4 HPTiamat: 11, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 0 HP The Simurgh was going to strike the platform... but now that Gabriel is moving right towards it, it decides to strike at the moving target entering its air space. And it manages to miss. And as Thevshi was trying to have the Simurgh come after Velocity, and it went after Gabriel instead, I'm refunding the Hero Point spent on Acrobatic Bluff. She'll still have the advantage of a Feint when she next strikes against it, however. Fleur is up next. Link to comment
Electra
Fleur is pretty groundbound, so this round I'm going to have her hop off the platform before the rock closes, then weave a curtain of plants overtop of it. That'll make a double layer of protection overtop the non-heroes and hopefully keep them out of the fight. Link to comment
trollthumper
Works for me. Tiamat is up next. Link to comment
Fox
Monster fight! Tiamat flies in and grapples that sucker. Or, y'know, tries.Melee Attack Roll: 13....and fails! Welp. Not gonna bother surging or rerolling that sucker. Too few hero points to go around and all that. Link to comment

Thevshi
TT, want to confirm a couple of things: 1) What altitude is the Simurgh at? KD said above the Gabe was going to go to 150 feet, so is that where they all are? 2) Is the Simurgh considered to be in melee with Gabe and/or Tiamat? (ie will there be a penalty for trying to make a ranged attack into melee?) Thanks Link to comment
Thevshi
Well, don't want to hold this up any longer, Velocity is just going to circle around the now landed platform (about about 200' out or so) and hope the fight moves down closer to ground level. Her standard action will be the total defense action, boosting her Defense up to 29 total. Link to comment

Avenger Assembled
OK: Comrade Frost goes flying after the monster. Can he hit it this round? If not, he just chases it Link to comment
trollthumper
I'll say that Comrade Frost can hit it with Flight. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
OK: Move Action: Fly over there Standard Action: Hit it http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4029868/ 9 Oh boy! Let's spend an HP to fix that http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4029869/ 20 OK, that was with the Vampiric Strike - DC 27 Tou save. Link to comment
trollthumper
And the Simurgh makes its save. But given that the Inspired wasn't applied, with AA's approval, we'll say Comrade Frost uses the Power Attack -2/+2 maneuver - which puts the TOU save up to DC29, which means the Simurgh takes a Bruise.Velocity: 63, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 2 HPComrade Frost: 19, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 0 HPGaian Knight: 18, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 3 HPGabriel: 16, Unharmed, 6 HPSimurgh: 15, Bruised x1, 0 HPFleur de Joie: 13, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 4 HPTiamat: 11, Unharmed, +5 Inspired, 0 HPGaian Knight is up next. Fox
Welp, all GK can really do is complete his full-round action from the previous round, completing his creation. With his remaining move action, he takes off into the air over the dome. Link to comment

KnightDisciple
Right then. Move Action: Reduce altitude and angle away from the stone-and-plant cage. Move as far as Flight 1 will allow. Free Action: Switch Sonic Control Array to Drain Toughness power. Standard Action: Ranged Attack vs Simurgh. 29. I believe that hits, so a DC 22 Fortitude Save vs a Rank 12 Toughness Drain. trollthumper
The Simurgh manages to make its save. It then falls on the island, but attacks the cage instead of anyone. It hits, requiring a DC37 TOU save from the cage, which gains a hole in it.Velocity: 63, Unharmed, 2 HPComrade Frost: 19, Unharmed, 0 HPGaian Knight: 18, Unharmed, 3 HPGabriel: 16, Unharmed, 6 HPSimurgh: 15, Bruised x1, 0 HPFleur de Joie: 13, Unharmed, 4 HPTiamat: 11, Unharmed, 0 HPCage: N/A, Disabled, 0 HPFleur is up next. Electra
Fleur is going to attempt to snare the dragon while it's busy burning a hole in her treehouse. Bad dragon! Her attack roll is a 27! That's a DC 30 Reflex Save. Link to comment

Fox
Tiamat heads toward the cage, circling in the air and attempting a Demoralize.Intimidate Check vs. Simurgh (Demoralized) (1d20 + 22=41)Note that this includes the size bonus to Intimidate; if Simurgh resists with its own (size-modified) Intimidate, it'll even out. If it resists with Sense Motive, the DC is actually 37. Link to comment

Thevshi
Is it down close enough that Velocity could make a melee attack? Link to comment
trollthumper
Velocity could easily strike at the Simurgh through one of the tiny gaps in the outer layer. Link to comment
Thevshi
Velocity will make a move-by attack with her Strike power on the Simurgh, using Power Attack (-3 atk/+3 Dam). Her attack roll is a: 19. If that hits, it is a DC 31 toughness save. Link to comment
