Ari Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) DC30 Toughness save: 13. Someday I'll roll this badly at a dramatically appropriate moment. But not today. Reroll(3HP): 19. +10 because he got an 8, so 29. Another Bruise. Edited April 27, 2013 by Arichamus
Supercape Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Round 3 18 - YB - 3 HP - Unharmed, Inspired (+4) 14 - EH - 4 HP - Holding little girl, bruisedx2, staggered, pinned. 10 - Giant Snake - Unharmed Young Brittania is up!
Supercape Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 EH recognises those beautiful brown eyes! And onto YB!
Tiffany Korta Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I'll hit the Snake with a blast of light 1d20+8=15, well at least it should get it's attention!
Supercape Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 As discussed in chat, shifting -2 Att / +2 DC in view of inspire. (At its size, its defence is low!!!) Thats a DC 25 Tough Save for the snake 1d20+12=18 which is bruised and dazed. As it cannot maintain its pin (as a free action), Heraldo slips free!
Ari Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Thanks Young Britannia! And TiffanyKorta too I guess. Anyway, EDIT:(moved this up in line) Free Action to tell Young Britannia about the weirdly familiar eyes. Also cheering her on. Moving over to the little girl's parents(who can't have gotten more than 200ft. away) using Flight. Edited April 27, 2013 by Arichamus
Supercape Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 As snake is dazed, we move straight on to: Round 4 18 - YB - 3 HP - Unharmed 14 - EH - 4 HP - Bruisedx2, staggered, pinned. 10 - Giant Snake - Bruised
Tiffany Korta Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Another blast towards the snake 1d20+8=19, which I should have really damaged shifted again oh well! DC23 Toughness for the snake
Supercape Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 1d20+12=32 its got luck on its side. El Heraldo is up!
Ari Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Move Action to Fly up to their mutual foe. Attacking the Giant Snake with Strike, Power Attack(-3 Attack, +3 Damage): 26. Critical hit! DC29 TOU save, +5 makes it DC34! EDIT: No, Staggered so he can't do both. Just Moving. Edited May 2, 2013 by Arichamus
Supercape Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 I believe you are staggered? ONly one standard action?
Ari Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Right. I was a fool and forgot when it was convenient. Only one Standard or Move Action, so Heraldo will Move over to the battle site, just out of range of the Giant Snake. EDIT: Nah, right next to. Edited May 2, 2013 by Arichamus
Supercape Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Which means Giant Snake gets to crush El Heraldo once more! 1d20+4=7 or does he? NO! Round 5 18 - YB - 3 HP - Unharmed 14 - EH - 4 HP - Bruisedx2, staggered 10 - Giant Snake - Bruised Moving straight on to YB. Ill skip posting that monumentally failed attack!
Tiffany Korta Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Right punchy time for YB, this time I'm remembering to damage shift this one/ Attack roll is 1d20+8-2=21 so a hit with a Toughness DC of 27
Supercape Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 1d20+12=24 I forgot to add the bruise penalty, but same result: bruised. El Heraldo is up!
Ari Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Power Attacking(-3 Attack, +3 Damage) the Giant Snake: 15. Rerolling(3HP remaining): 23. That makes for a DC29 TOU save for El Snako.
Supercape Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 1d20+10=23 Bruised and Dazed. At this point, I'll say the swamp queen has had enough of controlling the beast and dissapears, meaning you "just" have very angry snake to contend with! Post IC for EH
Supercape Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Snake is dazed so doesn't act (although I posted SQ going). Round 6 18 - YB - 3 HP - Unharmed 14 - EH - 4 HP - Bruisedx2, staggered 10 - Giant Snake - Bruisedx3 Take it away, YB!
Tiffany Korta Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Poor Snakey I'm burning a couple of HP first to get Animal Empathy second to get the temporary, through Beginnings Luck, Handle Animal at +4. Try to calm down the animal and stop it attacking, animal empathy means it's works like a Diplomacy roll 1d20+7=23.
Supercape Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 that sounds excellent to me, enough to calm it even though it is smarting! 18 - YB - 2 HP - Unharmed 14 - EH - 4 HP - Bruisedx2, staggered Combat over.
Ari Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Alright, using Healing from the Banner's Array to try and Recover from the Staggered, DC10 recovery check: 23. Spectacular! Okay, now Flying off and landing in the middle of the crowd, Stunting Emotion Control 10(Extras: Area(Burst); Flaws: Limited: One Emotion(Calm))[20 PP] and using it on the crowd. Using a HP(3 left) to recover from the Fatigue condition from the Power Stunt. They have to pass a DC20 Will save, or be Calmed. A terrible fate! Also, taking a chance to glance around to see what the threat is. Edited May 8, 2013 by Arichamus
Supercape Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 The Crowd seemed to be funelled into one small emergency exit by some Zoo staff - and although they are getting out its a terrible crush. It appears a pretty silly thing to do, at best. The Calm will restore order, hardly any regular bystanders will make that save, and you only need to calm a critical mass to stop the crush getting dangerous. For the purposes of story, just narrate them (or, if you wish, the vast majority) being calmed. 18 - YB - 2 HP - Unharmed 14 - EH - 3 HP - Bruisedx2
Supercape Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Why was everyone funnelled together into a short space? Disease time! Fortitude DC 20 Rolls, its a Drain CON 10 effect alongside a limited Nauseate effect (Sicken only).
