Vahnyu Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Opposed Will Check vs Mind Control 20 (Taking 10) 1d20+6 → [9,6] = (15) fails
Supercape Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 1d20+2=22 fast! for initiative. 1d20+5=23 for Arcane Knowledge!
Vahnyu Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) 2 Dreadknights ( Demon, Warrior PL 7 from Core Book, pg 233) Knowledge (Arcana) Check Results: Dreadknights serve as guardsmen for the legions of hell. While very common in the lower planes, they seldomly leave their demonic habitats to come to the mundane world, and it is never out of their own volition. Not particularly intelligent, they are nevertheless quite strong and durable, able to withstand punishment and deal it back in interest. The flame that surrounds them is a defensive mechanism that shields them from common elemental attacks such as fire, cold, electricity, poison and acid. If the flame's color is dark, it means that the Dreadknight has been branded by a summoner, and is bound to do his work. Initiative roll for Dreadknights: 1d20+1 → [6,1] = (7) Initiative roll for the Humans: 1d20+0 → [1,0] = (1) Edited June 5, 2013 by Vahnyu
Supercape Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 So, move action is to slam the cane into Billy for his use. Right so I will go for a gently done power attack, shifting thusly: -2 Attack, +1 Defence, +1 DC (For a total defence of +11, and an attack at +8) 1d20+8=20 as an attack roll, if that hits, its a DC 21 Bullet I think!
Vahnyu Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Toughness Save 1d20+7 → [6,7] = (13) Dazed and Bruised
Vahnyu Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Initiative Order Pitch: 22 (2 HP) Dreadknight A: 7 (NPC, 1 Bruise, Dazed) Dreadknight B: 7 (NPC) Humans(3): 1 (Minions) Dreadknight B takes 10 and attacks Alvaro(Human) DC 22 Toughness Save Fails automatically. Alvaro is unconscious. Alex(Human): Attempts to attack the Dreadknight B 1d20+1 → [10,1] = (11) Fails Billy refrains from acting. Next Round: Pitch
Supercape Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Move Action: Intimidate the standing Demon: 1d20+10=24 with favoured opponent feat, but I forgot to give a -5 penalty for move action, so thats a 19 result. Then, a straightforward attack on the same (non dazed) demon, 1d20+10=21 is the attack roll, which should hit? a DC 20 Toughness save.
Vahnyu Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) The Demons are completely bound on contract to their Summoner, and are considered fanatically loyal to him (+20 to resist being intimidated). As such, they auto-succeed any intimidate check that is less than 25(20+4+1 minimum roll) Toughness Save 1d20+7 → [8,7] = (15) Fails. 1 Bruise and Dazed Edited June 6, 2013 by Vahnyu

Supercape Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Ok, so lets just go for a straightforward attack to try and finish off the staggered demon: 1d20+10=14 pfah!
Vahnyu Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Initiative Order Pitch: 22 (2 HP) Dreadknight A: 7 (NPC, 2 Bruises, Staggered) Dreadknight B: 7 (NPC, 2 Bruises) Humans(3): 1 (Minions, 1 Unconscious) Dreadknight B moves close to Alex and attacks him with Power Attack (+2 dmg/-2 atk) and takes 10 in his roll. DC24 Toughness Save(Impossible Save) Alex is unconscious. Dreadknight A Attacks Pitch 1d20+5 → [6,5] = (11) Fails  Billy doesn't act this turn. Next Round: Pitch Edited June 11, 2013 by Vahnyu
Supercape Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Right, no time to fiddle about with a gun anymore. Its only Billy who is conscious anyway. Move Action: Fire up Alternative Form / Tazel. Standard Action: Blast The Demon A with Extra Effort to add +2 Ranks (and hence fatiguing myself). 1d20+10=26 I presume is a hit, and its a DC 27 Toughness Save (and it has two yummy bruises and staggered!)
Vahnyu Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Right, sorry, my mistake. The staggered demon A was the one close to Pitch, not Acheron. Anyways. 1d20+5 → [2,5] = (7) ... I rolled for damage, forgetting that he is immune to fire, as noted in >this post, and its character sheet(Demon Warrior, Core Rules, p233). Disregard the roll. The demon survives unharmed. Do you wish to try extraordinary effort for an extra attack, instead? EDIT: After clearing it up, the attack is effective. The dreadknight is unconscious. GM FIAT: The Dreadknight A becomes fully healed, and gains 3 PLs (+3 attack/defense/saves/dmg) Pitch will need to roll a Knowledge(Arcane Lore) vs DC20, helped by a Sense Motive vs DC20 Edited June 11, 2013 by Vahnyu
Supercape Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Its actually a a metal attack (Variable Descriptor power fire/metal)?
Supercape Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 As per Chat: 1d20+5=13 for Arcane Knowledge 1d20+6=9 for Sense Motive
Vahnyu Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Initiative Order Pitch: 22 (3 HP) Dreadknight A: 7 (NPC, Healed, +3 PLs) Dreadknight B: 7 (NPC, 2 Bruises, Unconscious) Humans(3): 1 (Minions, 1 Unconscious) Carmen is unsure what is going on(she can tell that magic is afoot, that much is obvious, but no specifics whatsoever). The Dreadknight A will move towards Acheron and attack him, intent on killing him. He succeeds. ACHERON IS MORTALLY WOUNDED AND KILLED  Billy fires a shot at Dreadknight A 1d20+4 → [11,4] = (15) Fails. Next Round: Pitch Edited June 11, 2013 by Vahnyu
Supercape Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Wowzers! Ok so a straight snare attack. As fatigued, its -1 to strength and defence 1d20+9=21 which is still a hit, so DC20 Reflex Save to avoid being bound in chains!
Vahnyu Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Reflex Save 1d20+7 → [8,7] = (15) Fails. Bound and Helpless.
Vahnyu Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) Initiative Order Pitch: 22 (3 HP) Dreadknight A: 7 (NPC, Healed, +3 PLs, Bound and Helpless) Dreadknight B: 7 (NPC, 2 Bruises, Unconscious) Humans(3): 1 (Minions, 2 Unconscious) Dreadknight A will attempt to break free from the snare using his strenght(PL+3), as a standard action. Toughness Save vs DC24 1d20+10 → [5,10] = (15) Fails the save, the snare is injured(1). Billy runs to safety. Next Turn: Carmen Edited June 14, 2013 by Vahnyu
Supercape Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 With the cane? Damn! Ok lets see what Pitch can do. She will keep hold of the chain tether, and throw a spear of metal at the demon. Its bound and helpless but gets +4 cover defence. So she will shift +2Att/-2 Def and +2DC/-2 Att for a total of +0 Att, +2 DC, and -2 Defence this round. 1d20+10=16 for attack roll. -4 for for cover, but then it is flat footed and helpless so I hope that hits. If it does, a DC 27 Toughness roll. Move Action - move up to the Beast.
