DC32 Toughness save: 22. Failed by 10. Already Staggered, the Piano Noire is Destroyed!

 

Unfortunately, while that means Mary is no longer physically bound to it, her soul is still imperiled, and now the demon has assumed the form of an eight-foot tall piano made of blue fire and bearing a hideous grin!

 

1HP to Pitch and Riff.

 

The Infernal Instrument's Initiative roll: 12.

 

New order:

Riff: Unharmed, 3HP

Pitch: Unharmed, 2HP

Infernal Instrument: Unharmed-GM

She did have a bad feeling about that one!

 

Move Action: Feint

 

1d20+6=23

 

Standard Action: Shifting +2 DC, -2 Attack, a Metal spear. It may well be insubstantial, 

 

1d20+8=19 Dunno if that hits, may depend on the feint. 

 

Its a DC 27 Tough save if it his - or DC 21 if it is insubstantial (Which I suspect it may be!)

Infernal Instrument's Sense Motive roll: 17. Flat-footed, albeit unnecessary as they hadn't taken an action yet. So that attack hits squarely.

 

DC21 Toughness save: 18. Bruised.

 

So next round:

Riff: Unharmed, 3HP

Pitch: Unharmed, 2HP

Infernal Instrument: Bruise(x1)-GM

DC27 Toughness save: 27. No damage.

 

And now he makes his mooooooove! Area Attack Linked to an Auditory Dazzle. DC21 Reflex save, if failed a DC26 Toughness save and a DC18 Fortitude save.

And its a 27! He makes it! The crowd goes wild for Wilder! 

 

EDIT: Turns out I need to make a second roll...

 

18!? Noooo!

 

Well, I could survive the Fortitude save....24! More than enough to survive that.

1D20+4 => 11 and 1D20+4 => 9 for Reflex, so deafened!

 

 

1D20+10 => 24 for toughness, so I guess bruised

 

1D20+10 => 14 for Fort, so I don't know what that causes!

Pitch is Deafened as she failed the save for the Dazzle.

Incidentally, does Immunity [All Infernal effects] have any value here? :)

 

Anyways...

 

Delaying Action to go after the Infernal thing! - which means said Infernal thing is up?

I am sorry for missing Pitch's Immunity Supercape, in that case yes she is not deafened by the power of Pandemonium.

 

And now the Instrument will try to hit her with a chair! Move Action with Move Object to pick up the chair from the floor, 26 on the Attack roll with Move Object to throw it. The chair is toughened wood, so a DC21 Toughness save is required.

And it will try to resist with its Rank 11 Array: 20. Failed! The Infernal Instrument's diabolical wards are breached!

DC13 Intimidate save: 25! No dice.

 

And yes, that misses.

Yes, that hits. DC29 Toughness save for the Infernal: 17. Failed by 12, so Staggered and the Daze is reapplied.

Because it worked the last time, Riff blasts! Same shift in Damage and attack as before

 

21! Another hit!

 

DC 29 Toughness save again. Not sure if knockback is in effect or not though.

It is. DC29 Toughness save: 16. Failed by 13 so Staggered again, and thus knocked out. Still there though, and its hold over Mary isn't any less.
