Supercape Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 1d20+2=4 Knocked out stone cold! Post away!
Supercape Posted June 30, 2013 Author Posted June 30, 2013 Ok, its grim dark! dramatic, but lets keep it out of Iron Age! this is a Coup de Grace attack. Its a Damage 2 attack base, and automatic Critical, for a DC 22 Save. 1d20+3=17 this makes him injured. As it is a Coup De Grace Attack, He must also make a Fort Save vs DC 17 1d20+7=15 which he fails, making him dying.
Brown Dynamite Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Hm. On the one hand Jack-of-all trades allows Erick to use medicine untrained. On the other hand, no improvised tools and HP that would be used on temp having it was used on the earlier attack reroll. So would I be correct in assuming an attempted medicine roll would have a -4 penalty?
Supercape Posted June 30, 2013 Author Posted June 30, 2013 Yup! If only there was a trained doctor nearby...
Brown Dynamite Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Preferably one who is a body horror currently enjoying dance. Oh if only.... Still while shouting out for help Erick has to give it a go with some shoddy for responder medicine...17 better than I would have expected. Especially considering the ranks with the penalty added on amounted to -1.
Supercape Posted June 30, 2013 Author Posted June 30, 2013 Which is enough to stabilise a dying character! One hero point for that noble act. Omen - 1 HP Without getting into technicalities of trauma and nuerosurgery, this stops him dying in front of you. He is still critically ill and will need a hospital and skilled medical care. post away!
Thunder King Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) Well, Graft is on the scene. With a -2 penalty for having an incomplete kit, he's got a 29 Edited July 3, 2013 by Thunder King
Supercape Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 More than enough to stabilise him further. There is no urgency to get him to hospital now, although he still does need proper surgery and recovery in a hospital.
Supercape Posted July 5, 2013 Author Posted July 5, 2013 So, Megan and crowd are facing a potent tear gas explosion: The effect is a Dazzle 10 and Nauseate 10 power, as well as causing partial visual obscurement. Obviously Megan has a DC 20 Reflex save to avoid the effect completely (thanks to evasion 2), and even if she fails, the above rolls are only DC 15 Fort Saves (Dazzle will be a fort save too). Most or, all of the crowd, are incapacitated by the gas.
Thevshi Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Megan gets a 27 on her Reflex save, easily avoiding the effects.
Supercape Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 So the two cops are just regular cops as far as you can tell. Although La Rosa has tendrils and bribes! They are speaking portgeuese but basically saying "What the hell happened here?" nothing to intimidating. If you want to influence them anyway, its fairly straightforward DC10 Diplomacy Check (or rather, DC 5 but -5 for not speaking Porteguese!) If you want to make things more complicated with bribes or streetsmarts, then go ahead (may need Streetwise and/or Sense Motive Rolls to acertain they could be bribed). EDIT: You are all together! The police may or may not be a hook to next stage, depending on what you guys do, but its not meant to be anything more than a bit of irritating red tape to play off if you wish!
Brown Dynamite Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 When you say influence, I hear get some more abled bodies for helping to transport. So let's see not counting attractiveness as I doubt it pertains to the situation the diplomacy roll comes to 14.
Supercape Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 OK - I hope its OK if Erick tags along too, HG? As for the Chief of Police he has vomitted into his lungs, and has had a cardiac arrest. Given the time passed, I am going to raise the DC to save his life (stablise action for medicine skill) to 20! Take it away, THunder!
Supercape Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Ok you can use Knowledge (Popular Culture) or (Current Events) to know about the lady in spandex. DC 10 She is Lady Brazil, a national heroine! DC 20 Lady Brazil is a super strong flier hero who works with the government. Her flag is reportedly imbibed with power. DC 30 Lady Brazil used to be Carla Jorge, an archeologist who was imbibed with some ancient Aztec or Inca power (nobody knows which) when she found the flag (now redecorated). She serves Rio and Brazil with total loyalty and obedience, but refises to engage in military activities, claiming she is called to "defend the peace and unity of our country" In addition, DC 20 Behavioural Sciences Check Looking at the rate of increase of incidents, and types, you can indeed see a pattern of progressive group behaviour, which will end in Riots and mass incitement by the end of the night! DC 25 Behavioural Sciences And you strongly suspect the pattern shows a design to induce, psychologically, just that effect! this is planned!
Thunder King Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 17 on the Knowledge pop culture. 27 behavioral sciences
Thevshi Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Velocity only gets a 12 on her Pop Culture roll. And only gets a 14 for Gather Info (via Well Informed) for any of the same info. Well, guess that got two bad rolls out of the way.
Brown Dynamite Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 10 on the Current Events Roll 27 via Gather Info due to Well-Informed 14 via Behavioral Sciences due to Eidetic Memory
Supercape Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 OK, Reviewing the security footage: Give me a straight INT roll to put it together. DC 10 The incidents have all been about anarchy, and in high density places with lots of dancers, music, etc. However, there has been no theft or material gain. Its all about anarchy, with several rants about liberty, freedom, emancipation, etc. DC 20 Each incident appears to be have sparked off by a woman wearing an elborate mask (as per your experiences) Thev: Megan can whip around searching the incidents herself with her speed and taking 20. She is certainly fast enough! However, there is no pattern to the incidents and they are all rather variable. You can collect DNA traces of who might be there, but its not particularly helpful other than to say there is no particular one individual doing all of the crime.
Thevshi Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Velocity sees no pattern at all. Actually SC, I more mean Velocity could go look for any tear gas bombs or other devices that have been put in place but not set off yet.
Supercape Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 Thats cool, Thev. No need to be to dice-like about that, feel free to narrate a few rigged devices, like firework explosions, or gas mains being let loose - I leave the details up to you as its more the appertisers to the main event!
