Feel free to pause and do what you will, I will ask for rolls accordingly. It is of course perfectly fine to sit back, alert, and enjoy the music (or even a dance!) If you do fancy making speeches, or entertaining the crowds, its perform rolls.
Thevshi Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Well, Velocity will first do a Search of the Plaza and area immediately around it (Taking 20 for a 23). With her quickness, that should not take a lot of time. Then she will indicate she will take a position in the crowd to keep an eye on things, where she will be dancing. She gets a 26 on her Perform: Dance check. She will try to regularly make Take 20 notice checks of what is going on around the area (here quickness making them take only a fraction of a second: ie free actions). Of course, if there is an opposed roll, she will need to roll.
Supercape Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Ok - Post away - Velocity will find Luiza, the singer who let of the smoke bomb, singing revolutionary songs - if you post finding her ill reply with her actions etc. Otherwise there are no bombs or other booby traps she can find in the centre of the carnival. Foreshadow and Graft can do similar searches, but the centre appears clean. Whatever is planned, it isn't the distractions of the periphery.

Mostly waiting and watching for both the mayor arrive and the show to start unless something catches his attention in between that time.

Their leadership is unknown - possibly because it is a loose knit organisation, possibly because the leaders are very skilled or powerful. There are large concerns about its link with police and politics, and corruption. Whilst pretty ruthless and criminal, they have avoided the worst of crimes such as murder or people trading. They operate more via gambling, extortion, prostitution, and drug running. A nasty bunch, but not the most violent.

Hence, Graft and Velocity hit the DC 20 Mark: There are indeed several people in the crowd - women wearing masks - who are jeering. You count ten of them, and apart from mask and gender, they vary in height, weight, age, and appearance. They could, in fact, be anybody on the street. Whilst they are trying to incite the crowd (which is very large and pressed), you can't see any immediate danger. Having said that, Foreshadow spots a more immediate danger. One of the stage hands, a woman in a mask (a flashing electric gaudy one) is fiddling wit the electrical appliances that supply the microphone. Foreshadow summises that she is about to administer an electric shock down the wire and into the Mayor!
