Thevshi Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 Righting herself once again after escaping the shockwave of the latest torpedo, Giang quickly considered her options. She had already inflicted some damage on the mini-sub, so could potentially finish it soon if she focused on it, but Thaelia had made her way up onto the ship a little bit ago, leaving her up there to face however many mercenaries were there, as well as Natas himself. The Asian teen recalled how dangerous the man had been and that it had taken her and Kate working together to deal with him before. She just hoped it was not too late for Thaelia. Swimming up towards the surface of the water near the aft/starboard side of the ship, Giang focused on the water around her as she reached the surface. The water lifted up into the air, creating a water spout a couple of feet thick, on which she was easily balanced. The Asian teen rouse up until she was level with the side of the ship, quickly spotting Thaelia, Natas and several other mercenaries nearby. Leaping off the water spout, she landed nimbly onto the deck between Natas and the mercenary that had been so lucky against Thaelia's shockwaves.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Thaelia was glad to catch sight of Giang, a friendly sight after almost being skewered by that electric spear. Even more grateful that she was in tip top shape what with how troublesome the submarines had been during their earlier pursuit. However, before she could express said joy there was something she needed to take care off. The Mercenary that took a shot at her from behind. Rushing towards the hired gun the Atlantean battle maiden was quickly prompted to make quick work of him. Her leg shot up and even though the technique was far from refined the assault was clearly reminiscent of Greek Prankation. She soon found herself driving the heel of her foot right right into the man's armored stomach with enough force to knock him out. He slumped over against her limb before she retracted the leg letting him crash onto the starboard side of the deck. "Come friend. Let us seize this vessel from these fiends! Let tales be woven of our glory on this day."Clearly the female bruiser was enthusiastic at the prospect of the chaos ensuing even more.
Thevshi Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 GM The mercenary that had somehow weathered a couple of attacks from Thaelia quickly focused on the newly arrived Giang, levelling his energy weapon and her and firing. The blast hit squarely, but the shifting sheen of water that swirled around the Asian teen was able to absorb the worst of the impact. The leader of the mercenaries turned his focus to Giang as well, his cold voice calling out, "YOU!" He quickly reloaded his speargun, this time with a razor sharp tipped spearhead and brought the weapon up trained on Giang. "This time I will gut you girl!" The spear shot through the air, striking Giang as well, though once again the swirling layer of water around her managed to prevent any serious damage. The mercenary operating the cane on the back of the ship swung it around, bringing the miniature submarine dangling from it swinging over the aft deck and over to the far port corner. The mercenary who had been piloting it and was standing atop was holding onto one of the cables connected to the submersible, while he aimed his small speargun at Giang as well. His shot went well wide of the Asian teen, flying out over the side to eventually drop into the water a ways out. Up on the upper part of the deck where Thaelia was, another mercenary came around the centre tower, quickly spotting the Atlantean teen. He fired his energy weapon at Thaelia, the blast of energy just missing her by a hair's breadth.
Thevshi Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Giang gritted her teeth as her watery forcefield took the blast from one of the mercenaries' energy weapons and then the deadly tipped spear from Natas' speargun. The Asian teen then regarded the mercenary leader. "I would expect you to try no less mercenary. But I helped stop you before, and I shall do so once more." With that she was moving across the deck of the ship, her feet pushing herself up into the air as she flipped over and twisted to land once again facing towards the railing she had just been next to. As she landed, her hands came up in front of her as she turned slightly and a blast of water shot fort to strike the mercenary who has shot her with his energy weapon. The powerful blast of water knocked him into the railing and he crumpled to the deck unconscious. Giang then took a step back as she shifted into a low crouch, her hands out to either side as she prepare to dodge the next attack from Natas.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 The sound of combat below did nothing to distract the Demigoddess, danger at every turn. For all intents and purposes they were engaging pirates on the high seas, it was exactly everything Thaelia would want out of a vacation. If it wasn't for the damage done to her people she would be filled with glee rather than indignation. Inching closer to the latest mercenary to take a shot at her the Glamazon set her eyes on her next target. The teen leapt forward and wildly smashed her forearm into the man's helmet. His head ricocheted against the center tower. An act that would have taken him out of the fight had he not instinctually braced for impact before the teen's titanic fist struck him. Seeing the soldier of fortune was still in a condition to stay on his two feet the Atlantean teen quickly settled back into a fighting posture. "You stand. Come now, show the Daughter of the Seas the strength of your resolve. So that I may break it much like the jaws of your compatriots."
Thevshi Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 GM Reloading his speargun quickly, the mercenary leader turns to follow Giang's graceful movements across the deck of the ship. Aiming quickly he fires at her again, but the Asian teen easily twisted out of the way as she stayed focused on the enemies around her. The mercenary that had been operating the crane pulls out a pistol and takes a shot at Giang. The gunshot echoes out over the water, but the teenager had spotted the movement and had already rolled aside. The other mercenary on the mini-sub still held aloft above the deck again fired his smaller speargun, but the small spear came nowhere near the agile teen, sticking into the deck a good ten feet away. Up on the upper deck, the mercenary who had managed take a blow from Thaelia raised his rifle and tried to strike the Atlantean teen with the weapon's butt. However, his attack was far too easy to anticipate, and Thaelia simply caught the butt of the weapon with one hand and pushed back, causing the man to stagger backward slightly before righting himself.
Thevshi Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Giang twisted and rolled across the aft deck of the ship, avoiding the attacks of Natas and two of his henchmen. The Asian teen wondered where Thaelia had moved off to, but had little doubt that the Atlantean teen was pursuing some of the mercenaries responsible for attacking her people. Springing back up to her feet, Giang twisted slightly her hands out in front of her as twisting coils of water shot forth towards the mercenary up atop the mini-sub dangling above the deck. The powerful blast of water stuck the man dead center, knocking him off the mini-sub and sending him flying over the bow of the ship and out into the water unconscious. "Once again you are letting your hirelings fall all around you mercenary." She stated as she turned back towards Natas.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Before the mercenary could finish the motion for a second swing of his rifle it was again intercepted by the Glamazon. Thaelia kept a firm grip of the butt of the rifle before drawing the mercenary in tight to clinch up with him. Suddenly using her explosive strength, Thaelia would pivot her body and use the momentum to launch the the mercenary into the ship. The last thing he saw before his vision faded was the Atlantean demigoddess dusting her hands off him. "Pity, I thought I would find more of a challenge." Thaelia took a moment to examine the energy rifle left carelessly behind by its owner. A mischievous look appearing her eyes as an idea began to take shape. Her foot moved out in preparation. "Time to put the surface dweller's weapons to proper use."
Thevshi Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 GM The armored mercenary leader let out a low growl, loading his speargun once more as he tracked the Asian teen's movements across the deck of the ship. "Perhaps girl, but your friend appears to have abandoned you. It took you and your other friend together to beat me last time, can you do it on your own?" With that, he raised his weapon, sending the razor tipped spear flying at Giang. But the teen was already crouching down in a low back stance, bending forward with her arms out to either side as the projectile passed dangerous close over her back, but still missed all the same. The remaining mercenary still standing on the aft deck swung his pistol towards the teen as well, pulling the trigger with another loud gunshot. But Giang has sprung up into the air, spinning around once as the bullet passed harmlessly underneath her. Opening back out of the spin, she landed lightly in a cat stance her hands up defensively in front of her.
Thevshi Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 After dodging the attacks of the mercenary leader and his remaining hireling on the aft deck, Giang landed lightly, turning slightly as she thrust her hands out in front of her to send another jet of twisting coils of water towards the mercenary near the crane. The jet of water slammed into the man, knocking him back into one of the supports for the crane, where he collapsed to the ground unconscious in a puddle of water. The Asian teen then turned back to Natas, assuming a defensive stance once more a she prepared for his next attack. "I am not concerned about my friend villain. But perhaps you should be. What could she be doing to your ship while you are here focused on me?"
Brown Dynamite Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Thaelia slammed kicked the energy rifle into the air catching it with her left hand. Easing into a battle readied position almost immediately thanks to the Atlantean military not holding out in her upbringing. The battle maiden quickly began to double back to take advantage of her new armament. Rushing back into position to get the mercenaries in her line of sight. The statuesque teen didn't have any plans to blast away at the mercenaries. But a little support fire to disarm them was another matter entirely. It was an idea that sounded much easier in her head than actual application. The run back was quick and easy. The unconscious bodies in the way barely providing an inconvenience as Thaelia moved around them. A smile forming on the Glamazon's face as she noted Giang had managed to clear away another mercenary. "Let's see who's feeling lucky."
Thevshi Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 GM Natas appeared to hesitate a moment as he considered Giang's last comment, but then he once again reloaded his speargun, this time with one of the rounded head electrical charged ones. "Once I deal with you, I will hunt her down and eliminate her as well." The mercenary stated as he raised his weapon, tracking a moment at the Asian teen tried to dodge aside. The spear shot forth, electricity playing across its tip, and stuck Giang squarely on the side as she tried to sidestep. The electrical current arched over her, causing her to tense slightly, but she otherwise shook off the effects of the attack as the spear fell to the deck.
Thevshi Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 As the electrical current from the shock spear faded, Giang focused back on the mercenary leader in front of her. In her periphery vision, she saw Thaelia reappear on the upper deck of the ship, one of the energy rifles used by the mercenaries in her hands. The Asian teen did nothing to tip off that the other teen had returned, intent on keeping the mercenary leader’s attention focused on her. "You are not proving any more able to 'deal' with me than in our last meeting mercenary." She stated as she brought her hands up, another jet of powerful twisting coils of water shooting forth towards the figure in the armored wetsuit before her. However, Natas managed to duck to one side at the last moment, as the blast of water streaked past, flying out over the side of the ship and out to sea.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Thaelia waited until the moment after Natas avoided the blast of water. Squeezing the trigger to her newly acquired rifle when he looked completely unaware trying to blast his weapon right out of his hands. Her breathing was precise and controlled up until the point the stream of energy completely fell short of her target hitting against the deck of the ship. Her form was fine, but the fact that she was using sights not zeroed to her vision to try and perform an admittedly difficult shot seemed to add up. "I shall have to adjust for that." Thaelia didn't care that her position was now compromised, hiding was never the boisterous brawler's intention. Keeping the energy rifle pointed downrange towards them she'd settle on some on the spot corrections to her firing. With the luxury of removing that pesky electric spear gun missed she'd settle for targeting its actual owner instead. Confidently the demigoddess would begin to bellow out. "I have your position covered! Worry not friend, my aim will sail true through the air soon enough." Edited November 12, 2013 by HG Morrison
Thevshi Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 GM The mercenary leader in the reinforced wetsuit glanced up towards Thaelia as her shot impacted on the deck in front of him. "Ah, there you are." He stated in his cold voice, his free hand grabbing something that looked like a grenade from his belt which he threw towards the Atlantean teen. As the small device flew through the air, it burst open and a metal net spread out, arcs of electricity clearly visible playing along the metal mesh. Thaelia tried to step out of the way, but the mercenary's aim was true. The net wrapped itself around her, while the electrical charge shocked her from all sides. The Atlanetan teen was able to withstand the electrical shock, was tightly wrapped up in the net, her arms pinned into her body. Not able to properly balance, she fell over onto the upper deck, completely bound, at least until she could try free herself from her bonds. Natas turned back towards Giang. "Now it is just you and me."
Thevshi Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Giang watched with a feeling of concern as Thaelia was entangled by Natas' net. The Asian teen recalled when the mercenary had used the same device on Kate in the Freedom Aquarium, and Kate had been able to quickly free herself by disintegrating part of the net. She expected Thaelia would be able to handle the electrical charge the net carried and was likely strong enough to free herself as well. The only question was how long that would take. Keeping her primary focus on Natas as he turned back to her, Giang's face showed no sign of concern. "It will take much more than that to stop my friend." She commented, as she brought her hands up in front of her, another blast of water erupting towards the mercenary. This time, the blast hit him square in the chest, causing him to let out a grunt of pain as he was knocked off his feet and sent flying back into the ship's railing. He fell to the deck, hurt and appearing to be momentarily dazed, but then he shook that off and lifted his opaque face mask up once more to focus on Giang.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Thaelia grit her teeth teeth as her muscles flexed against the material tying her down. Thrashing about as best she could the demigoddess managed to push the material slightly away from her body. It waned under the pressure of her muscular frame but didn't tear away. Slamming her head against the deck in a furious stupor with the net the Glamazon looked much like a caterpillar spazzing about on the floor. A comparison that surely would have done nothing less than upset her further. Balling up her first she would keep her mind occupied on the task at hand her focus guided by just what exactly she wanted to do to Natas once Thaelia got a hold of him. Thaelia screamed out into the air a string of Atlantean profanities that didn't translate to English. The sentiment, however, was clear. The statuesque teen was not pleased with being caught inside something akin to a fisherman's tool for recovering his dinner.
Thevshi Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 GM Natas pushed himself back to his feet, shaking his head to clear the starts that had been before his eyes. As his vision cleared, he realized he had dropped his speargun, and glancing up, he quickly spotted it lying on the deck more than a dozen feet away. He had almost forgotten how powerful the water blasts from the Asian teen were. Once again she and friend were proving most troublesome. And perhaps worst, the delay they were causing could only be give the Atlanteans down in the underwater city a chance to organize and come after him in force, something he had no intention of allowing to happen. "Get the engines going and get us out of here." He said quietly over the radio to two of his men up in the bridge. "But what about.." began one of the men, only to be cut off by Natas. "Forget them! How long before you think an Atlantean war party arrives looking for us? We do not want to be anywhere in the area when they reach the surface." The mercenary leader stated, then as almost an afterthought, he added, "there is an Atlantean teen caught in one of my nets up on the upper deck, starboard side. One of you head down there and eliminate her." Up on the deck of the Python, two of Natas' mercenaries glanced at each other a moment before one started up the large ship's engines. The sound of the engines starting was audible on the upper decks, as faint vibrations could be felt along the lower deck. "I'll go find the Atlantean." One of the two stated, as he picked up an energy rifle from a nearby rack and headed off the bridge. Back on the lower deck, Natas sprinted forward suddenly, diving towards his speargun, which he snatched up as he rolled back up to his feet, once again facing Giang.
Thevshi Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Natas had recovered quicker than Giang had anticipated, leaping back towards his weapon once getting back on his feet. The Asian teen sent another blast of water flying at the mercenary, but it passed well over head as he dived underneath and snatched back up his weapon. But Giang had not left herself open, shifting her weight slightly, she prepared to dodge Natas' next attack. While Thaelia sounded frustrated, her apparent curses in Atlantean were at least indication that she was still conscious and would hopefully be back in the fight shortly.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Thaelia's muscular arms continue to push again the binds that held her. Slowly exhausting the material as far as it could stretch out before it began to snap. Then in a flash of movement the net would tear wide open. Seething with rage, the demigoddess was in desperate need to find something to take out her aggression on. The insult of being placed insight a fishing net was beyond words. Thaelia hoped Giang left enough of Natas for her to tear apart. Her still clenched fists practically throbbing as the agitated girl began squirming her body out of the remains of the net. As soon as she got her bearings anew someone was going to be on the receiving end of her unfettered retribution. The sound of the ship's engines alerted her to the fact that there were still more mercenaries waiting somewhere aboard the ship. Eager to greet them, she kicked off the ground and performed a kip up to revert back to the standing position. More than ready to get back into the throes of combat the demigoddess took on a silent demeanor for the first time since they boarded the ship. Delaying seeking out the man who put her in a net in favor of putting and end to the vessel's travel plans. Edited November 12, 2013 by HG Morrison
Thevshi Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 GM Once back up on his feet, the mercenary leader reloaded his speargun with a spear with a thick cylinder tip that had a small pressure sensor at the top. Brining his weapon up smoothly, Natas easily tracked the movements of the Asian teen as she tried to dodge the incoming attack. "You might remember this one, I used it last time we met to blow that hole in the main display tank at the aquarium. Let's see what it does to you!" The mercenary fired the weapon and the spear streaked across the deck, his aim true. There was a loud BOOM that echoed over the water as the explosive tip impacted into Giang and detonated. The Asian teen had managed to get her arms up in front of her torso to better shield herself from the explosion. The Asian teen gritted her teeth, as she was pushed backward a few feet, but the swirling water that surrounded her once again provided near complete protection, taking the brunt of the blast and dissipating it. As the brief cloud of black smoke that was created by the explosion dissipated, Natas was a bit shocked to see the teenager still standing and apparently unharmed. Having stood up once more, Thaelia was able to see the mercenary's attack on her roommate, but she was quickly distracted from the sight as another of the mercenaries appeared at the foot of a stairway along the central tower. The man quickly raised his energy rifle and fired a shot at the Atlantean teen, but the blast flew well wide of the intended target.
Thevshi Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Giang quickly reoriented herself as the black smoke caused by the explosion dissipated. She saw Natas preparing to reload his speargun once more, but also saw that Thaelia was free and back on her feet, though engaged by another of mercenaries. The Asian teen was feeling tired from having pushed her powers in some of the previous encounters, and she was not sure she could take another hit like that last one. But she had to keep the mercenary leader’s focus on her for the moment. Moving off to her right to circle slightly around the deck, forcing Natas to turn away from where Thaelia was, Giang once again brought her hands in front of her and sent a blast of water flying at the mercenary. This time, her accuracy was better and the twisting coils of water slammed into Natas’ chest and sent him flying backward once more. The mercenary slammed into the bulkhead of the main part of the ship, collapsing to the deck soaking wet and in another pool of water. As with the first attack, he was a bit slow to rise, but soon seemed to focus himself once more. While he was still conscious, and thus a thread, Giang had a slight feeling of encouragement at having been able to knock the man off his feet once again. Perhaps a couple more times, and he would stay down.
Brown Dynamite Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 The Atlantean warrior was able to catch sight of Tsunami shifting the momentum in her direction which was of solid comfort. After the slight glance Thaelia's eyes returned to honing in on the mercenary standing at the foot of the staircase. Sprinting towards the man she would dive down ducking beneath the frantic swing of his energy rifle. Weaving to an exposed side she would twist her body and slammed her fist into his protected the liver. Before the man could even think about finishing the motion for doubling over in pain, the demigoddess' other arm would shoot upwards. Her palm slamming against the bottom of his helmet forcing it against the mercenary's jaw and sending him crashing into the staircase. Her eyes darting up the staircase, knowing she had to resume her exploration to find out where to stop the ship before it could speed off any further. The fact that it would also serve as an opportunity to alleviate her anger further with more bodies to inflict harm unto was not lost on her either. Which at this point was certainly her main motivation. "Fishing net. They dare put me in a fishing net and try and run off with their haul. This insult will not go unpunished."
Thevshi Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 GM Despite the powerful impact of Giang's water blast, Natas managed to hold onto his weapon this time. So when he managed to clear his vision once more of the stars created by the impact, he was able to quickly load one of the razor tipped spears into the weapon as he snarled beneath his opaque faceplate and climbed back to his feet. The spear tip glinted in the bright Mediterranean sun as it streaked through the air at the Asian teen, but the agile young woman was already twisting aside, easily ducking under the attack before sliding to one side to prepare for her counter attack. Then, the engines up to full power, the large ship began to start forward, slowly picking up speed as it went.
Thevshi Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Giang saw Thaelia easily deal with the mercenary who had appeared to attack her, but then had to quickly focus back on Natas as she ducked underneath the sharp tipped spear he fired at her. The Asian teen then felt the ship begin to start forward. The last thing they wanted to do was let the ship get far from its current location, as the Atlanteans were likely to come looking for it and them sometime soon. While she had managed to stop a ship larger than this from moving before, Giang could not currently turn her attention to trying to do the same here given she was locked in combat with the mercenary leader. She would have to trust that Thaelia would seek a way to get the vessel halted. With that in mind, the Asian teen brought her hands back up in front of her and sent yet another powerful blast of water at Natas. This time the mercenary leader was able to dodge aside, and the jet of water slammed into the bulkhead of the ship, creating a large dent.
