trollthumper
Gotcha. Bloody Mess: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Revenant: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Foreshadow: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP The Hound: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP Hangman: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Cannonade: 6, Unharmed, 3 HP Alvarez: 1, Unharmed, 0 HP Foreshadow is up next. Brown Dynamite
Rather than going straight down the building and joining the others. Foreshadow will search the immediate area real quick to try and get a handle on what went on past glass breaking guy hanging by animated rope. Getting a 16 on his roll. Link to comment
trollthumper
The apartment looks like a massive beatdown went down back there - lots of broken furniture, shattered glass on photographs, and upturned electronics. The Hound is up next. Link to comment
Supercape
Ok, not sure how far Hound is from the Mess/Hangman? and how far elevated they are? its unlikely he is going to enter combat, but he can hopefully keep a tail on them at least. Whats the score there? Link to comment
trollthumper
Hmm. Bloody Mess and Hangman were about two full movement rounds away from the action at Speed 6, so that's... a ways. And effectively four full movement rounds away at Speed 5. So, if the Hound keeps driving, he should be able to catch up to them in three full-movement rounds - and get visual range in two. That's if they stand still, mind. Bloody Mess: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Revenant: 22, Unharmed, 0 HP Foreshadow: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP The Hound: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP Hangman: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Cannonade: 6, Unharmed, 3 HP Alvarez: 1, Unharmed, 0 HP Hangman realizes Bloody Mess isn't going down easily, and takes another swing. Or not. He then throws down a smoke bomb and splits. Sorry, I'm using GM Fiat here. This is a detective plot, and the investigation must proceed apace. Cannonade, meanwhile, is going to take Alvarez down to the pavement and try to calm him down. That's a 21 with Skill Mastery, so it should be enough to shift an Indifferent individual over to Friendly and calm him down. Alvarez just sits down as the cops show up. We are out of rounds. Supercape
Thats good for me TT: I have posted with that smoke bomb in play hope that works. the Mess acting the normally slightly goofy INT 8 guy. If you want to play on his Bloody Mess complication with his blood contaminating the crime scene for narrative purposes, go ahead! Link to comment
trollthumper
On the noose note, give me an Arcane Lore roll check if you can. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Knowledge (Arcane Lore): 1d20+3 22 That was surprising Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+3=14 for the Hound, who will keep his mouth shut on the matter! Link to comment
trollthumper
The Hound has heard something about nooses having occult power. Foreshadow has heard that a noose used to hang a guilty man often gathers residual mojo. Like the Hand of Glory, cut from the body for a condemned guilty man, it gathers potency from the power of sin and death. Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Okay sorry it took so long but here's Revenant's Arcane roll Arcane Knowledge: 1d20+12 23. So the same as Foreshadow I'm guessing... Link to comment
trollthumper
Yup, just about. I'll be getting us up into the apartment soon. Link to comment
trollthumper
Okay, now that we're in the apartment, I'll need Search and/or Investigate checks from everyone. And from Revenant, I'm going to need a... well, FORT doesn't apply, so REF save. Link to comment
Supercape
Search rolls coming up: Mess is simply going to use Aid action for Harry: 1d20+1=17 which is enough for +2 bonus. Putting that on to the Hounds bonus of +13 gives him: 1d20+15=25 As for Investigate, I always that considered to be analysis of anything found with the appropriate equipment. Which I am not sure they have to hound, but I'll throw it in anyway: 1d20+11=26 Link to comment

trollthumper
What the Hound gets: this place is clean. Okay, it's busted and torn up, but when it comes to blood, skin cells, hair, fingerprint oil... it's absolutely clean. There is a slight acerbic residue, though - not exactly an industrial cleaner, but perhaps something like it that's been diluted fifteen times. Foreshadow is having a very hard time finding any physical evidence - maybe it's just not his night for this. If he can get a sample of the residue, though, he can probably analyze the chemical makeup. Revenant is having a very hard time finding any physical evidence - the place looks clean. She also only just brushes a wall with the coating on it; she feels a slight sizzling, but not enough to take an Injured. It appears this chemical, whatever it is, has a mildly corrosive effect on dead human tissue. Link to comment
Brown Dynamite
Let's see if Foreshadow knows of our would be bank robber Knowledge (Streetwise): 1d20+10 25 If the +4 from eidetic memory applied it wouldn't actually be likely to do anything factors of five and all Link to comment
trollthumper
Foreshadow is quite aware of Jack Miller's record as a guy who's pulled off two successful jobs and three really, really botched ones. He's also heard a word or two of which tenement Miller's using to plan his next heist, but hasn't had time to confirm that yet. Link to comment
Supercape
So the Hound is having a panic attack, unable to breath due to the psychosomatic hangmans noose round his neck! (out of action). Whilst the Mess boosts (if thats ok) Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, then. Initiative for all.Hangman goes on 25.Cannonade goes on 11. Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+7=11 for Mess. Whilst he is not actualy acting, just having a panic attack, 1d20+6=9 for the Hound if it is actually needed! Link to comment
