Supercape Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Oh and for the sake of it, lets make a knowledge roll to see if Pitch knows anything about the Guy with the Banjo - I guess thats a Knowledge - Pop Culture Roll? 1d20+10=30 HOws about that? Ill leave that up to you of course to determine if that means a damn thing! Just throwing out there for you in case it does.
TheAbsurdist Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 (edited) DC 14 Knowledge: Pop Culture Check So John Perdition is 42 year old ex-con/drug addict (having spent over a decade in and out of addiction counselling and prison) turned alternative country/rock darling. Known for murder and drug ballads about lowlifes, and the underhanded side of life. Has a cult following of fans Pretty normal, all told. Is a multi-instrumentalist. Jokingly referred to as Purdy John Perdition. Been romantically linked to starlets. Think scuzzier Jack White of White Stripes fame, with a more 'outlaw/raise hell' kind of bent. Also has a fondness for horror movies, and has a couple bit parts in some low budget ones. Edited October 21, 2013 by TheAbsurdist
Supercape Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 1d20+6=20] Hows about that? Anything to report?
Supercape Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Shall I post IC spotting an infernal effect or you want to give detail about it OOC?
TheAbsurdist Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Yeah, he ping as Infernal, not knowing if that shows up special for her, so essentially she is seeing something Infernal, or equitable to Infernal as far as she is concerned.
TheAbsurdist Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 Gonna assume since you wrote it that her looking nervous would not require a check?
Supercape Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 No, thats just her looking nervous! I guess you could give your man a Sense Motive Roll, but thats your call as a GM!
Supercape Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 So Pitch is going to try and intimidate John...I guess its probably some kind of demon laughing in her face, but you never know! 1d20+11=20
Supercape Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Pitches Sense Motive - 1d20+6=20 He is good! She probablly deserves a little more than that as a Reporter, but hey ho!
Supercape Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 So activating the Alternate Form for reference. Now she has Counters Visual Obscurement so that includes Darkvision. Holding the Cantos Cane in left hand. Guess thats all implicit in the IC but, you know, for sake of it!
TheAbsurdist Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Stealth (1d20+8=24) So that is the DC to find him.
Supercape Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Lordy, the slippery devil! 1d20+6=10 heh, no good. Ill stick with that as I like the idea of him being such a slippery ....devil!
TheAbsurdist Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 1d20+6=25 Another DC to pinpoint him. Him taking a penalty for calling out, even if it is echo-y and not conducive to finding someone.
Supercape Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 1d20+6=26 well that is better! what does that get me?
TheAbsurdist Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 She can find him. He is a floor up, by the sounds of it, there are stairs going up, but no railing. Also, she cannot be surprised by him currently.
TheAbsurdist Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 Notice Check, DC15, to not be surprised by the voice.
Supercape Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 1d20+6=17 surprised, or shocked? Love it by the way! Turning around, what does she see?
TheAbsurdist Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 A reject from the Rat Pack, seemingly, or Mad Men. A charcoal gray suit, white shirt, and a narrow red tie. He has on an old pair of sunglasses fitting 1950s era. He is lighting a cigarette as she turned to him.
TheAbsurdist Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 The Cane says: "Uh... I don't knoooooooooooooooooow." So elements of it show up as yes.
