Supercape Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 OOC for thread. Asad gets some radioactive troubles.
Supercape Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Feel free to have made a prior Gather Information Roll on the Prince - it is not too complicated. However the invite was at short notice, DC 15 Very rich Prince! He was recently slightly injured in a (presumed) terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia. DC 20 Has a history of womanising, hedonism, parties (all rumoured), but recently converted to a more practicing form of Islam, no longer drinks. DC 25 Has had expensive medical treatment (after his injuries), rather hush hush, in America
Supercape Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Could you give me a diplomacy roll? DC 15 for partial reveal, DC 20 for more.
TheAbsurdist Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Welp I am gonna use Skill Mastery For the previous Gather Info: 20 For the Diplomacy check: 24.
Supercape Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 No Dr. Morsi, but finding the trail...is a gather information roll! If Asad wishes to throw his money around, bribes etc, then grab a +6 to that roll. I will also give him a +2 situational roll due to his skill in Knowledge (Civics) and (Business) - he knows a little more the landscape of how to smuggle someone in, and who might be interested in a nuclear scientist. As he has skill mastery you can take 10 of course, but ill give some DCs anyway DC 20: YOu can track him down to Hanover Institute of Technology DC 25: He is working there as a laboratory assistant, under the name of Abdul Assaf. DC 35: The hiring of him seems to have bypassed a lot of checks. He was pushed through by a university lecturer there, Professor James Redwing.
TheAbsurdist Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Yeah. Mastery shall be applied. And will use his feats to shorten the in game time scale on this, and is going to throw money around. So that equates to Gather Info: 26, with bonus applied.
Supercape Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Cool, feel free to narrate that gather information thing. It would presumably take an hour or so, and you can do it how you like (have some narrative license, any minor details you add in I will roll with!)
Supercape Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Scene cut to HIT? If so, throw me a diplomacy roll for the guards people / reception. Add wealth situational bonus for being all important and rich!
TheAbsurdist Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Welp, with Wealth Situation and stuff, and the SM, he is walking in with a 30 Diplomacy check.
Supercape Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Could you throw me an intimidate roll for that?
TheAbsurdist Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Taunt, I meant Taunt! Edited February 27, 2014 by TheAbsurdist
Supercape Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Sorry for delay, been ill and drained! So! Morsi is not a very able liar so cant beat that. you sense he is holding back a little about what his research is - although this may be entirely reasonable for a precious and vain scientist (who keep their intellectual property close to their chest) - the rest all feels fundamentally true (or at least he believes it to be true). He isn't building nuclear weapons.
TheAbsurdist Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Sokay, so have I been in the same boat myself.
TheAbsurdist Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Yes, we are. Nothing like a staph infection to make you have no creativity.
Supercape Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Ouch thats nasty! Do you want to post, or plan a scene cut?
TheAbsurdist Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 So Asad will still be using the whole "I don't believe you." Still has Skill Mastery on Sense Motive, sooooo checking for veracity of whether he is actually involved.
TheAbsurdist Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 1d20+7=26 So... what does it look like Morsi is doing? If I can make out what an energy being is doing.
TheAbsurdist Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Asad... has never fought someone made of energy, so he punches Morsi! Or tries, rather! 1d20+5=18 Edited June 2, 2014 by TheAbsurdist
Supercape Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Well, he isn't even trying to avoid getting hit, so it hits! (Defence is +8 for reference) So as he has insubstantial 3 (energy), the energy form takes no damage. On the flip side, its a cracking burst of radiation to Asad (A damage 10 radiation aura) so DC 25 Toughness save, just enough to overcome his impervious. On the flip side again, the energy is enough to charge up his absorption array. Post away.
