Brown Dynamite Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 More fortunate indeed. Which brings us to Round 317 - Rene De Saens - HP 2, Bruised X111 - Masked Assailant 109 - Masked Assailant 2 Bound and Helpless09 - Masked Assailant 3
Supercape Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Bahaha! Enough holding back. Move Action: A Bluff roll to feint at -5, getting: 1d20+6=8...never mind that. And then a blast of fire, straight from him, line area. DC 20 Reflex for half, DC 25 (or 20) Toughness.
Brown Dynamite Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Alright. Let's see. I'm going to assume he used the 5' step to back up enough to get them all within the width of his line effect. Masked Assailant 1's Reflex Save (DC 20): 1d20+6 25 Masked Assailant 1's TOU Save vs DC20: 1d20+7 23 Masked Assailant 2 is Bound and Helpless so the reflex save would just be unfitting. However, he can't exactly roll around either so his defensive roll is not in effect when it comes time for his Tou save vs DC25: 1d20+3 10 He's out! Masked Assailant 3's Reflex Save (DC 20): 1d20+6 26 Followed by a TOU Save vs DC20: 1d20+7 19. Picking up a Bruise condition
Brown Dynamite Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Masked Assailant 1 repeats his go to of Power Attacking (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) with Machete (DC 25): 1d20+10 18 barely making it. Masked Assailant 3 once more gives Masked Assailant 1 and Attack Bonus by Aiding (Masked Assailant 1) against Rene: 1d20+11 21 They're a stubborn bunch you see sticking to teamwork as long as they can and all for.
Supercape Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 1d20+16=25 I think with the bruise penalty, thats 24, meaning another bruise.
Supercape Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 So, I am going to use inderect 3 feat on Renes blast to spring an attack from behind him. In conjunction with that, a bluff / feint as move action: 1d20+6=24 Then, a +2 DC / -2 Attack shift: 1d20+10=14 oh well it may hit if flat footed, I guess. And if not, its homing for next round!
Brown Dynamite Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Yes that would hit if he was flat-footed. Although he does make Bluff to resist Feint: 1d20+8 25 If he had Danger Sense I might have made him take to a Notice check to spot the indirect attack. But he doesn't, so even with the unsuccessful feint flavor wise with this use of indirect I'd say it'll count as a surprise attack. So it does hit! Masked Assailant 1's Tou save vs DC27: 1d20+3 15 Leaving him Staggered & Dazed Masked Assailant 3 applies pressure to aid his cormrade when he Attacks Rene with Machete (DC20): 1d20+11 27
Brown Dynamite Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Miss Grue also gets her warm up brawl. And a Hero Point for her troubles as there is a reason as to why Mother Unit didn't wake her up when the dream took a horror movie turn! Initiative please.
Tiffany Korta Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I would have been surprised if there wasn't . Her roll Initiative: 1d20+4 13.
Supercape Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Rene Toughness: 1d20+16=27 I think he has 2 bruises (best keep track of those?) so thats 25 which I think makes it?
Brown Dynamite Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Crowd of Students Initiative Roll: 1d20+1 11 It's a group of minions, but count them as one person for the sake of combat narrative. Devon Lee's Initiative Initiative Roll: 1d20+2 7Creepy Lizard Man's Initiative Initiative Roll: 1d20+3 5 Round 113 - Miss Grue - HP 211 - Crowd of Students07 - Devon Lee 04 - Creepy Lizard Man Round 417 - Rene De Saens - HP 2, Bruised X211 - Masked Assailant 1 Staggered & Bruised X109 - Masked Assailant 2 Unconscious09 - Masked Assailant 3 Edited February 3, 2014 by HG Morrison
Supercape Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 So Rene will try to blast the two of these guys one more, with a move action for a few feet, and then a standard area line attack. DC 20 Reflex for half, DC 25/20 Toughness.
Brown Dynamite Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 So the links to their reflex saves say Winter Wonderland in the Campaign area. That was my bad head in the clouds at the time. Masked Assailant 1's Reflex Save (DC 20): 1d20+6 11 Masked Assailant 3's Reflex Save (DC 20): 1d20+6 10 Masked Assailant 1'sTou save vs DC25: 1d20+6 9 And he's unconscious as well Masked Assailant 3's Tou save vs DC25: 1d20+7 25 He surprisingly made it
Tiffany Korta Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Spend a HP to get selective on my insubstantial and then take 10 to thing out the student's a little.
Brown Dynamite Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Alright I owe you two a posst. Masked Assailant 3 All-Out (-2 Def/+2 2 Atk) Power Attacks (-5 Atk/+5 Dmg) Rene with Machete (DC 25): 1d20+8 24 So I'm going to use a version of the Golden Age/Warrior & Warlock's mass combat rules for the horde of students. They're still minions as far as taking 10 is concerned. And while I'm not sure if the Force Modifier should actually effect Toughness I'm going to let it. Tou Save(+4 Force Modifier) vs DC17: 1d20+5 24 The horde standsHorde Attacks (DC20) : 1d20+6 26 but they don't get the benefit of a critical hit and fail to hit her insubstantial form regardless Devon Lee tries to test out his baby blue with Emotion Control (Love). The emotion control allows a DC18 reflex save to avoid looking directly into his eyes to fall under its effect. Even if you fail the reflex save there's still the DC18 Will save. And the Lizard Person's actions will rely on the result of the Emotion Control so I'll wait on him.
Tiffany Korta Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Miss Grue's Reflex Save: 1d20+7 20. She made of stern stuff either that or "what is this thing that humans call love?"
Supercape Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 1d20+16=32 Rene made of steel today (even with the two bruises) incidentally, if this is a dream dimension, does Rene get favoured environment bonus? (is so ill say its +2 Defence by default).
Brown Dynamite Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 I most definitely forgot about his Favored environment, but it would definitely apply.
Brown Dynamite Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Our Lizard Friend Scratch Miss Grue (DC18): 1d20+10 23 His Claws do affect Insubstantial so that hits.
Tiffany Korta Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Miss Grue'sToughness Save: 1d20+6 9, once can't unfortunately be insubstantial and dense it seems . A little early to be taken out so HP for a reroll Toughness Save: 1d20+6 7 well 17 is better...
Brown Dynamite Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 I Made a booboo Tiff. Mixing up his claws with his bite damage. And the bite requires a grapple check. The Claws are actually DC16 instead. If you want to take back the Reroll you can. But if not she's unharmed. Apologies. On a lighter note. The crowd of students will be helpless for this round having to take the entire round to get off one another after crashing through Daphne's insubstantial body and into each other. Fiating the narrative circumstances. Round 213 - Miss Grue - HP 011 - Crowd of Students - Helpless07 - Devon Lee 04 - Creepy Lizard Man Round 517 - Rene De Saens - HP 2, Bruised X211 - Masked Assailant 1 - Unconscious09 - Masked Assailant 2 - Unconscious09 - Masked Assailant 3
Supercape Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Move Action: Shuffle to one side,,, So I will shift slightly for the final dude. 1d20+10=21 Should hit, which I think means a DC 27 Toughness save.
Brown Dynamite Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Tou save vs DC27: 1d20+7 9 And another one bites the dust
