It makes the save.

The Friendly Drone attacks Cavalier, and... ouch. That's gonna be a DC26 Toughness, plus a DC11 Fort save for Nauseate. He takes a Bruise and is Dazed on the Damage, and is Dazed again.

Cavalier: 18, Bruised x1, Dazed (Friendly Drone's Action), 3 HP

Argonaut: 16, Unharmed, 1 HP

Friendly Drone: 6, Unharmed, 0 HP

Cavalier is up. He spends 1 HP to shake off Dazed, and then attacks with the EMP again. And misses.

Argonaut is up next.

The Friendly Drone swings at Argonaut now... and misses.

Friendly Drone: 6, Unharmed, 0 HP

Cavalier takes another jab at it with the EMP... and hits! Unfortunately, as a robot forged in a place where entropy is high, it's EMP shielded. Both Cavalier and Argonaut take a HP for this development.

The Drone is Dazed and Staggered.

Cavalier: 18, Bruised x1, 3 HP

Argonaut: 16, Unharmed, 2 HP

Friendly Drone: 6, Dazed (Argonaut's Action), Staggered, 0 HP

Drone is Staggered, so it's doing nothing. Cavalier's action.

Free Action: Shift configuration to Blast w/ Autofire.

Move Action: Feint attempt. 18 versus 17, so it's fooled and denied the Dodge Bonus.

Standard Action: Open fire with the gun. Well, it hits. That's a DC27, thanks to Autofire. And the Drone is busted.

We are out of rounds.

Cavalier funnels power off of his Auxiliary Thrusters Array to stream into his Super-Senses:

Super-Senses 9 (Detect Psionic Radius Extended 2 Accurate Acute Counters Concealment) [9 PP]

And spends an HP to avoid being Fatigued.

What Argonaut notices is the half-open iris inside the opening. Similar irises seemed to be right above where these people would have been wired in on the bridge. It may be that, once their bodies expired, an automated system dragged them out of the bridge and dumped them here. And what's here? Why, it almost looks as if there are some pilot lights inside. This looks like a furnace - on a ship that's powered by warp engines...

All right, then.

Gestalt: 19, Unharmed, 0 HP

Cavalier: 14, Bruised x1, 3 HP

Argonaut: 10, Unharmed, 2 HP

The Gestalt goes first, with a Blast focused mainly on Cavalier. Which misses. Cavalier is up next. He decides to open with a simple burst from his Blaster. That will hit, and with Autofire, it's a +2, so DC28 TOU. The Gestalt is Bruised.

All right, then.

Gestalt: 19, Bruised x1, 0 HP

Cavalier: 14, Bruised x1, 3 HP

Argonaut: 10, Unharmed, 2 HP

Gestalt is up next. It unleashes an Area Burst Blast, taking in Cavalier and Argonaut. DC22 Reflex save to halve, DC27 TOU save to resist. Not halving it, and ouch. Hero Point. Bruised and Dazed. Spending another Hero Point to throw off that Dazed. 

 

Gestalt: 19, Bruised x1, 0 HP

Cavalier: 14, Bruised x2, 0 HP

Argonaut: 10, Unharmed, 2 HP

 

Yeah, this'll suck. So Cavalier decides to unleash his Blast. Are. You. Kidding me. Screw it. Extra Effort. 

 

Well, that will hit. And a +1 from Autofire, for a DC27 TOU attack. Bruised and Dazed. That's something.

The Gestalt throws off its Dazed, and attempts to attack Cavalier. And misses.

Cavalier, meanwhile...

Move Action: Feint. 17 versus 17. The Gestalt wins.

Standard Action: Blast w/ Autofire. It hits; I forgot to apply Fatigued, so it's just 24, but that's still enough for +1 DC. So, DC27 TOU for the Gestalt, and it is Bruised and Dazed.

Cavalier: 14, Bruised x2, Fatigued, 0 HP
