trollthumper Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Nick Cimitiere, Pitch, Dragonfly, and Graft deal with the weird side of infernal bargains.
trollthumper Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 All right, then. Notice checks for all. 30 for Nick.
Fox Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Mental quickness is a wonderful thing; Dragonfly'll take 20 for a 'roll' of 25 (or an auto-15 with skill mastery if something's being jumped on her and she doesn't have the liberty of any kind of active check).By the same token, Computers 37/27 if it comes up.
Supercape Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I was going to suggest maybe taking 20 was the thing given lack of time constraints but... 1d20+6=26 makes that academic!
trollthumper Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 What do you know, we're all magical. Through spying either magical or otherwise, Nick, Pitch, and Dragonfly will all find their quarries. Results to be posted in IC thread.
Thunder King Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Super sense scan! Regular sight, infravision and ultravision. In order. I specified it in the dice roll post too. 17, 11 and 9
trollthumper Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 All right, Nick's doing something he hasn't done in a long time - Master Plan. That's a 17 - +2 to skill checks and attack rolls for 3 rounds, +1 for one round after that. Now, initiatives.Nick on 21.
Fox Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Welp, probably no point in Dragonfly using Master Plan as well, especially since she isn't playing coordinator here!Initiative Roll (Speed of Thought) (1d20 + 7=8)....ouch. Well, at least they (probably) don't know she's nearby....
trollthumper Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 >We'll be running the demons as AA's Cyborg Illusionists, at PL11 - ATT +5 (+8 Melee/+11 Illusion), DEF +11 (+3 Flat-Footed), TOU +11, FORT +8, REF +6, WILL +8, DMG to match.Demons go on 16, 10, 8, and 2.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, 1 HPDemon 1: 16, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPNick unleashes a burst of Ignis Fatuus at the demon. And it misses.Pitch is up next.
Supercape Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Ok So I will take it that Pitch has kind of used a move action to get into the room after Nick (if not technically, it still fits with her slowness of foot). Then, lets chain it up. Ill switch this +2 Attack, -2 DC.1d20+12=18 which I would imagine misses!
trollthumper Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Well. Here's one I let go for a hideously long time. Won't happen again, I swear.I'll say that Pitch could have gotten in there with Nick - but as the Move Action's been used, then yes, her disability comes into play, meaning she gets a Hero Point. And yes, the blast misses.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Unharmed, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 1 unleashes a Mental Blast upon Pitch. Which hits and crits. Hoo boy. DC31 Will save - that is, unless Pitch has her tattoo exposed.Demon 2, meanwhile, unleashes the same on Dragonfly. And misses.Dragonfly is up next.
Supercape Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Well Pitchs tatoo is normally exposed (its pretty big and she leaves some part of uncovered). It fails if some swine wraps her up or uses some appropriate create object / snare / whatever!
Fox Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Move action: Teleport into the building so that she has proper line of sight.Standard action: Return the favor to Demon 2:Ranged Attack Roll vs. Demon 2 (blast; Master Plan +2) (1d20 + 11 + 2=26)Assuming that hits, it's a DC26 Toughness save vs. damage.
trollthumper Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 That most certainly hits, and the Demon is Bruised.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Bruised x1, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPGraft is up next.
Thunder King Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Alright, so... Graft is gonna use his autofire attack. He's going to power attack by 3 because he doesn't know who this guy is. He's also going to charge, which means his attack is getting a +2. The +2 from Master Plan and the +2 from the charge mean his current attack bonus is +14. I'll be using 3 of that to fuel power attack, giving him an attack bonus of 11 right now. And I rolled a 24. If that hits, that's a DC28 TOU save from power attack, plus autofire if it kicks in at all.
trollthumper Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 That most definitely hits, and will apply +1 from Autofire. Demon 3 makes the save, however.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Bruised x1, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 3 retaliates with a Mental Blast. That's a hit, requiring a DC26 Will save from Graft.Demon 4 just... scarpers.Top of the round, and it's Nick's turn.Move Action: Startle. 19 versus 12, so he's Flat-Footed.Standard Action: Ignis Fatuus again. That hits, so the demon must make a DC27 Will save. And he is Bruised.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Bruised x1, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Bruised x1, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPPitch is up next.
Supercape Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Well Pitch will do an attack of some sort.,... 1d20+10=22 I imagine hits. If the scales here allow a move action to reach a demon, then that attack roll is to bind (from the Cantos Cane) Opposed mind control roll: 1d20+10=24 If scales dont allow that, then a move action to get closer, and a Standard Action to snare again with some chains (so a DC 20 Reflex Snare effect)
trollthumper Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Demon 1 is bound. With a lower case b. As the Move Action was made to make contact with the demon, I'll say that it just stays still until you next order it - unless, that is, you want to take an Extra Effort.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Bruised x1, Mind Controlled, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Bruised x1, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 1 is doing nothing, so Demon 2 is next. Demon 2 unleashes a blast on Dragonfly. Which misses.Dragonfly is up next.
Fox Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Welp, time to keep the blast train rolling. Really ought to give Dragonfly a few more varied combat options next time I rebuild her.Ranged Attack Roll vs. Demon 2 (blast, Master Plan +2) (1d20 + 11 + 2=14)Nat 1? Ow. Screw it, that's what HP are for.Ranged Attack REROLL vs. Demon 2 (blast, Master Plan +2) (1d20 + 11 + 2=23)That is not a crit, but it does get +10 for a 33. DC26 Toughness, and Dragonfly is down to 2HP.
trollthumper Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 And the Demon takes a Bruised.Nick Cimitiere: 21, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 4 HPPitch: 16, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPDemon 1: 16, Bruised x1, Mind Controlled, 0 HPDemon 2: 10, Bruised x2, 0 HPDragonfly: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 2 HPGraft: 8, Unharmed, +2 from Master Plan, 3 HPDemon 3: 8, Unharmed, 0 HPDemon 4: 2, Unharmed, 0 HPGraft is up next.
Thunder King Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Power attacking by 2 with the master plan. Got a 29. That's a DC27 TOU save, with autofire.
