RobRX Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Player Name: RobRX Character Name: Bloodline Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Trade-Offs: +2 Attack / -2 Damage, +2 Defense / -2 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 0/30 In Brief: Gun-toting mutant vampire from an alternate timeline. Not actually as grim as it sound. Alternate Identity: Robert Miller Identity: Secret Birthplace: Los Angeles Occupation: Formerly; Resistance Fighter Affiliations: Human resistance (in the future) Family: Unknown Description: Age: 47 (Own timeline) Apparent Age: 30 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 6’6†Weight: 178 lb Eyes: Red Hair: Pale Bloodline is a grizzled man, large and muscular, with a scarred face that you’d expect to scowl a lot more than it actually does. His hair can be described as short and spiked, bleached from the vampiric mutation toward a discolored, faded pale beige. His eyes are red and glowing. Bloodline’s outfit is a mixture of post-apocalyptic gear and grungy, outdated vaguely punk battle armor, asymmetrical in design and adorned with pouches to carry things. Apparently, in his universe everyone has a horrible fashion sense. Power Descriptions: Bloodline’s vampiric nature makes him immune to many mundane needs, as well as increase his strength and reflexes. A mutant before being turned, Bloodline has very crude mind reading and precognitive powers. He wields the Vindicator, a futuristic firearm more than capable of making big holes in people. Fortunately, he’s not the type who kill mercilessly and the weapon has a non-lethal setting and has remained on that setting ever since his arrival in the present time. History: Growing up in a future that could have been, Robert Miller (codenamed Bloodline by resistance members, much to his annoyance, as he finds the name somewhat ‘dark’) lived in fear. In the past (his past, to be precise), vampires had taken over the world following an outbreak of a virus. Gifted with weak psychic powers, possibly from parents he never met, Miller was recruited by the resistance to help them fight the vampires that had plunged the world into darkness. After a disastrous mission where he became infected, he was given a choice; become a test subject in an experiment to cure vampires of their violent, hungry tendencies or be terminated. Miller agreed and soon became part of a commando of ‘rehabilitated’ vampires and remaining supers called the Bloodhounds (again, a name he never quite liked), composed of - the goverment agent Cathedral, the destructive Rayze, Deadaim the archer and Howler the werewolf. A sixth member was once part of the team, Tubal, but he eventually went rogue. For years he fought with the bloodlust and the mistrust of his former comrades. Not once did he ever consider changing sides. As time went on, it became clear that the war simply could not be won. Even worst, the virus was always mutating, creating new breeds of vampires and making a cure impossible. A final solution was devised; attempt to stop the vampire apocalypse before it even started. What Bloodline didn’t know was that the time machine did not function as intended. He believe himself to be in his own past when in reality his timeline had diverged much earlier. It was the right lab he destroyed but in the wrong timeline. Personality & Motivation: One would assume that a vampiric survivor from an apocalyptic timeline would be a very grim and, quite frankly, messed up individual. The latter might be true, but not the former. It’s in the darkest, most desperate of days that heroes are the most needed and Bloodline stood up to the challenge. While he can act a little cocky or strangely sometimes, he is honorable and selfless. The world he now find himself in has only reinforced the conviction that had always been right in never going down a dark path. Powers & Tactics: His vampiric nature gives him superhuman strength, endurance and agility, however it is currently weakened from the poor quality serum he has to constantly inject himself. His weapon, while a powerful futuristic blaster, is set to a permanent stun setting in the present. Bloodline primarily relies on his firepower to win any prolonged battle. Because he is a former resistance member, fighting using guerilla tactics, direct confrontations are not always his strong suit. Any underhanded tactic can do just fine. His psychic powers, weak as they are, are mostly his secret trump card. Complications: Caught Somewhere In Time: His original timeline is very different from the one he is currently in. Code of Honor: Bloodline does not kill living beings and will prioritize saving lives as long as it does not endanger his life in a suicidal manner. Die Monster, you don’t belong in this world!: Bloodline hate vampires. Or rather, to be precise hate monstrous vampires who embrace their monstrous nature. Lest A Beast I Become: Bloodline requires a serum and blood transfusions in order not to succumb to vampiric hunger. Here come the Sun: He become weakened and easily exhausted in direct sunlight. The serum also helps reduce the effect of sunlight on him. Patient Zero: There is a risk that Bloodline could contaminate someone/cause a vampire outbreak on his own. HE sure think he's from the future, but he's not, meaning his world still exist out there in the multiverse, much to his horror. Bloodline is clearly more of a Blade/Underworld kind of vampire. His weakness to light is a complication, not a drawback but he still usually doesn't expose himself to sunlight since it weakens him/hurt him, forcing him to go seek shelter. When I got the points, he'll get Leaping/Speed and truly superhuman agility to do super kung fu and stuff. As for the 'mutant vampires'...well, take a guess to what this is referencing. His skill set allows him to make his own serum, as well as explosives and other chemical devices. Beside the obvious Cable reference, he's also based off Kyle Reese from Terminator. I have no idea if those maths are accurate. Edited May 18, 2014 by RobRX
