Supercape Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Ok so Charlie can recognise him as an occassional previous visitor on an INT DC 5 Check. Next, a Streetwise Knowledge skill DC 10 The biker belongs to the Gaschuggers biker group, basically an outlaw gang. DC 15 The Gaschuggers operate drugs, extortion, and most importantly, as hired muscle on wheels for the mob and other parties. Essentially mercenaries on motorcycles. DC 20 Crowbar Frank is a local Gaschugger hustler, allegedly an ex-convict with a history of violence. Unlike other thugs, he is both competent and not stupid.
GooseInduced Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Alright.Let's get these rolls done.Int Check: 1d20+1 12 She recognizes this... gem of the genepool.Knowledge Streetwise: 1d20+8 10 WOOOOW.... really? A 2? Well... at least her plus 8 means she knows he's in a gang.
GooseInduced Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Would have taken it farther but I wasn't sure what the set up was at Wharton forest. Hope my post is ok.
Supercape Posted June 28, 2014 Author Posted June 28, 2014 That works for me! Now, lets go for a Notice (Olfactory) Roll. Can you smell that engine oil in Wharton Forest? Super nose to the rescue! Its a fairly obvious smell, so a DC 0 notice roll. Thats to notice it 10 feet away. For every 2 points above 0, you notice it 10 feet further away (as per core rules), so a result of 10 would mean you notice it a 100 feet away! (For reference, if you want to post, its DC 10 to notice its the same brand of oil that your customer used! as you have an acute nose!) You may also wish to roll a stealth roll for prosperities sake, if you want to sneak up on them!
GooseInduced Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Okie dokie!Notice: 1d20+8 22 Wooo! So if I understand that correctly that's to notice it 220 ft away! Do I need to roll a second notice for it being the same brand the biker smelled like? Also yes! She isn't a stealth pro but she is gonna try!Stealth: 1d20+2 15 That could have been so much worse XD
Supercape Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Cool consider your self stealthed up on them (I was going to give it a DC 15 to creep up on them!) COuld you throw me a DC 15 Notice roll? You notice some cameras strung up on the trees. The scene is being filmed!
GooseInduced Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Notice: 1d20+8 9 Dang it! I only had to roll a 7 DX Stupid 1 Are all of the guys grouped close together?
Supercape Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Well, kinda. A dozen or so feet between them I guess. Some are next to each other. Certainly enough for any Area effect to take them out. Or, if you are thinking takedown, you could probably get half of them. As it is you have surprise on them, but a surprise round is just a standard action (so a move or an attack). If you want to sneak up to melee, lets call that a DC 15 stealth roll - they may be average dudes (or a bit above average fighting) so not great at noticing. On the downside there are six of them, looking different directions. On the upside they have had a few beers and are cocky...so yeah, I figure DC 15 to keep surprise! If you are going combat mode, might be the time to roll initiative too!
GooseInduced Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 *nods* good to know. I'm going to have her enter combat now but before I make my final decision on what she is going to know may I ask what time of day it is? Is it getting dark out yet? Partially for flavor partially because it might effect what she does. Initiative: 1d20+2 13
Supercape Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 During the day, but of course in a reasonably thick forest the light is a bit subdued. Not to the level of obscurement.
GooseInduced Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Alright. Well she isn't very sneaky. So she's gonna try and keep low but start an attack. Not sure how many rolls to make for this but she is going to take as many down as she can in one swoop.
Supercape Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Well they are minions, so you can take 10 an automatically hit them. Even with Power attack that will hit. unfortunately, without takedown attak thats only one a round, although with surprise, that takes two of them out! Feel free to posst that!
Supercape Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 ok so the bikers are thugs better armed ()+4 Damage firearms) and with +1 Attack and Defence (basically the gang is a little better than street thugs) 4 Shots... Ouch! 1d20+3=8, 1d20+3=21, 1d20+3=22, 1d20+3=20 3 Hits, just be glad no crits! That means three Toughness 18 Saves for Skaere! If she is not dazed, Skaere is up again!
GooseInduced Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Here goes nothin!!! Toughness: 1d20+7 22 Toughness: 1d20+7 27 Toughness: 1d20+7 19 WOOOO!!!!
Supercape Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Goodstuff! So feel free to narrate KOing the remaining four. You can take doiwn two a round, and the last two will turn and run (but you can catch them!)
GooseInduced Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 OK. So do you want me to just do two at a time then? As in two a post so you have a chance to post as well?
Supercape Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Uo to you! At this stage they are defeated!
GooseInduced Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Sorry my reply took so long. I am finding out that I am very bad as narrating fight sequences. It's very hard for me.
Supercape Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 No worries! Practice makes perfect and there is a lot lot more to the thread than fighting!
Supercape Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Ok so could I have a notice roll for Skaere? For reference, I make her liftung Strength 27. Vince is a smallish man so lets say 140 lbs. This is a light load for her, so away she goes!
GooseInduced Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Okie dokie!Notice: 1d20+8 27 Good roll! Also yes. I didn't think he was over 300 lbs so I didn't think it would be an issue :-)
Supercape Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Post away, you can detecte somebody / something rustling in the bushes!
GooseInduced Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Question: Was going to type up a post and realized something. Compared to the direction she came from, which way is blocked by the thing rustling in the bushes. I need to know so I can decide which way she goes.
