Supercape Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Good Q - I think your foe has cut you off! SMart ass!
GooseInduced Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Curse them!!!! *shakes fist* Also, let's run a notice check. Using her scent ability, what can she smell on her foes. Gunpowder, grease... anything that might tell her what or who she is up against Notice: 1d20+8 28 NATURAL 20!!! Edited September 2, 2014 by GooseInduced
Supercape Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Works! A male human with a gun, some faint traces of petrol
Supercape Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 1d20+12=17 the Huntsmans attack roll. Which misses! You are up!
GooseInduced Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 She is going to be mad but won't risk her charge's life. She wants to at least try and get Vince to the road. She can heal pretty quick, he can't.Hopefully the trees provide some sort of cover. Do I need to make any checks to do this?
Supercape Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 I dont think so. Just running? She can outpace him I think f(for now!)
GooseInduced Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Are they close to the main road? If they are she's going to keep going. If not, I'm thinking she might try and hide Vince or them both to figure out what to do. Do I need to make a check to find out?
Supercape Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 I think an untrained Survival Roll DC 10 would suffice to know your position in the woods - which is actually quite deep in. It would take several minutes for her to get to a main road. If you are hiding, a Stealth Check I think would be called for?
GooseInduced Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Survival: 1d20+1 17WOOOOOk.. So she knows she is deep into the forest...... She's gonna see if she can spot a cropping of rocks or thick grove of trees for them to hide in before just trying to blend.Notice: 1d20+8 20
GooseInduced Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Right. Sorry. Was thinking I'd check to see where she might hide first XDStealth: 1d20+2 22Yes! Jackpot!
Supercape Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Cool post away! (Also, off rail comment. Love the goose picture!)
GooseInduced Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Lol thanks! I am also rather fond of it :-) My go to for this screen name. Also, the result of her notice check? Does she see a place to hide or is she just ducking behind trees?
Supercape Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Yeah, ill throw in a +2 Situational modifier for spotting a great place (of your choosing) to make her Stealth check 24.
GooseInduced Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Ok. I'm not sure how this will work. I think Skaere is going to try and shift into her other form. Her full wolf form. However she has a complication that the change is difficult for her and doesn't always work. I'm not sure how to handle it. If I was playing table top the GM would probably have me roll a percentile to see if the shift is successful but I'm not sure how you, as the GM here would want to handle that.
Supercape Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 Simple. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, you get an HP! The complication system is straightforward like that. Complications aren't mechanical attributes like "-2 to attack rolls" or something. other the complication happens (You miss, you fall, you lose your powers, you break a leg, you go blind) and you get an HP, or it doesn't happen, and you don't! I tend to play it as characters choose when to use their complications (not always)...so, in this case, do you think she can use it or not?
GooseInduced Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Well, in a combination of things I wanna say yes. I wanna try out her wolfy abilities and this will be my first opportunity. AND I think that while the situation is stressful I believe she can focus enough to pull it off this go. Will it take her whole turn to transform?
Supercape Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Sure, but as you are hidden it is no problem. Post the transformation! YOu could of course do something like the process is painful this time, causing her to scream/howl and break cover. That is a complication.
Supercape Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Ok I will give the Huntsman a 20 on intitative, meaning he rolls 26. 1d20+10=11 A mighty miss! So Skaere is up. Whilst rather pointless, gimme an initiative roll!
GooseInduced Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Initiative!Initiative: 1d20+2 14 lol Still my turn?
Supercape Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Yup! He is about 20' away (lets say) for reference.
GooseInduced Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Alrighty. Skaere is howling. The hunter and his horse both need to make DC 17 checks for fear I think. :-)
GooseInduced Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Its sense dependent though so that means the hunter gets a chance to cover his ears... I think.
Supercape Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 1d20+8=23 Which, unfortunately, he makes with a good roll. Ill say he drops his gun to cover his ears, though. Although he has a chance to pick it up as a move action, and fire on his turn! 1d20+10=18 which does Clip Skaere. Its a DC 21 Toughness Save (Like a nasty old shotgun!)
