Heritage Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Remember, he said to "combine" the two clues. Mayhap that means take the clues and reorganize them in some way? Like take the name and the thing and see what comes up on Google? Hey, I'm trying to realistically play a girl with a 9th grade education here! I was also hoping to motivate a brainflash of some kind in NR, the way sidekicks do.
Veiled Malice Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Ahh, yeah, that's true. Unfortunately, your fearless leader is away for a couple days, so that precludes the possiblity of him coming up with a miraculous discovery. You could always say it's one of those things she read on her own after dropping out, though. Just a thought.

You could always say it's one of those things she read on her own after dropping out, though. Just a thought. Dude, I went on Google and did a search with both terms, and unless it's the distance between da Vinci Airport and the tower of Pisa...unlikely, nothing is screaming out at me numerically, so maybe I will just research them individually and look for a connection there.
Veiled Malice Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Try "Leonardo Pisa". But you didn't hear that from me. ;)
Shadowboxer Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Hey guys, I made back it back to Canada in one piece. I'll write a post ASAP. :)
Veiled Malice Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Hey, he's back! Wait, I didn't know you were Canadian! Get the hell out of here, ya damn Canuck! (I'm an anti-Canadianite. Canadaite? Canadite? Whatever, I'm against 'em. )
Shadowboxer Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 You didn't know I was Canadian? I thought spelling "colour" instead of "color" was a dead giveaway. I think it's anti-Canadite, though. I have enough American friends to know that. And you don't like Canadians? What, you got something against good beer or something?
Shadowboxer Posted June 7, 2008 Author Posted June 7, 2008 Kinda, yeah. I don't drink. We also make excellent juices and teas. We also brew a fine cup of coffee. :D
Veiled Malice Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Okay, you're done there. And letting you out the same way you got in? How evil am I?
Shadowboxer Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 That was evil! Eeeeeeeeeeeevil! I was getting ready to make my saving throw against horrible death.
Veiled Malice Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Sorry, I've been really backed up on work this week. I'll get to posting here tonight, that good?
Veiled Malice Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Okay, it's initiative time! Trust me, the situation isn't as bleak as the Warden says, but you guys are in trouble. Now, each gun is ten feet up the wall, so you'll have to jump if you want to hit them if you don't have any distance attacks. Each gun is also ten feet from the others. I'm open to creative use of Hero Points if you need them. Remember, Nightrival has two, (after the last room, I'm awarding one to each of you) and Grimalkin has one.
Shadowboxer Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Alright, let's do this thing. . . . and I roll a 25.
Veiled Malice Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 And I'll form the head! ...ahem. Sorry. Anyway, the guns have a 20. Wow, they really took their robo-Wheaties today. You're up first, SB. Just assume the turrets are still sighting in as you made your move. Also, remember you don't have to make an attack, since these guys are definately minions. You can take 10 on these things.
Shadowboxer Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Nightrival is trying to trick the other machine guns into shooting at him but hitting the gun he's sitting under. I hope his Defense bonus keeps him from getting perforated. And Voltron references FTW!
Veiled Malice Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Okay, Grim got nicked. That's a DC 20 toughness check for her, (a +5 damage effect) and she's up.
Heritage Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Okay, Grim got nicked. That's a DC 20 toughness check for her, (a +5 damage effect) and she's up. Geez, my digi-dice are on fire tonight! I got a 27, so does that mean she feels nothing but a wince of pain?
Veiled Malice Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Basically, yes, but the great thing about it is that you get to explain it the way you want. You could have it clip her clothes or something and get super ticked as a result. Oh, and my Internets are dead tonight. Barely loaded this page!
Wildcard Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Is there room in your campaign for a hedonistic crimefighter such as moi?
Veiled Malice Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Well, the problem is that they're currently underground, fighting through a subterranean maze. It wouldn't make a lot of sense for someone else to show up, unless you can think of some reason he'd be there already.
Wildcard Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Only if Wildcard knew there was an opportunity to smack around some criminals, but I imagine that's not the case.
Veiled Malice Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Okay, Grim took another hit, same DC as before. However, Nightrival just got critted, (which is really the only way he can be hit, period) for a DC 25 toughness save. Remember your HPs! They will save your life! :)
Shadowboxer Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 I'm taking your advice and using a HP to counter the damage. I rolled a Toughness save just to see what would happen, and lo and behold my odds of rolling high enough are sickeningly low. :)
